A malice was about to get Nicole after she had dropped the Brute so Russ notched an arrow and shot it just as it was going to strike. "Careful Nicole." Russ ran off to fight some more smiling the entire time.

Tyler ran into his bedroom, and tore open his closet door, and found one of the things he had been working on in the R&D depot--a large beaker, filled with a doped and concentrated sample of his own blood--twice the effect and twice the longevity of a bite to a human alone. He turned to Eleanor, his eyes somber.
"This'll be quite an experience. I wanted to test it...but I wasn't about to give it to you, in case there were negative side effects. After I drink this, your job will be to keep the humans and other vampires away from me...don't try to contain or control me, just aim me. Know what I mean?" Before she could object, he downed the contents of the beaker, and felt a severe burning sensation in his heart and lungs as the medicine did its work. He looked into a mirror as his eyed filled with blood; pupil, iris, and whites were all just two red spots on his face. His muscles swelled temporarily, and his fangs and claws extended to twice their normal length.
"Darlin'...don't let Aivi see me...like this.... Get me to the Malices...now!" he roared while he was still lucid.

When they got into their house, Ellie had Aivi go to her room, which she did with little to no complaint. She helped the adults fight; she was happy. She followed Tyler and saw him with the beaker of his blood. She knew it was his because she could smell it; she's lived off of Ty's blood for so long that she could recognize it by smell alone. Before she could ask what he was talking about, he drank the whole thing. She didn't know that there were other things in there besides his blood so she let him. But when he began to change dramatically, her eyes widened in horror. With the horror came understanding. Taking his hand, she quickly lead him back outside. "Everyone!" She shouted in the strongest voice possible. "Clear out the area and head for safety! Repeat! Clear out and head for safety!"

((Sorry, I'm late! I had to help my uncle move...I think he's got like a non-euclidian pocket dimension in his apartment...there was much more stuff than he could have possibly had room for! xd ))
Tyler felt his consciousness and self-control leaving him more and more quickly as Ellie led him away from the populated areas. His last act before losing himself was to wave her away, and crawl to the breached wall, where's the Malices were gathered. A few Brutes had torn the wall open a little wider, and now ghouls were pouring in after the Malices. Tyler let out a bloodcurdling roar that shook the glass of the dorms across the base, and every child but Aivi began to cry. His eyes fell upon a Brute stumbling towards him, with a band of half-starved ghouls close behind. He sped over to it, covering several hundred yards in seconds, and plunged a hand into its torso. His sharp claws tore right through the thick sinews of the Brute, and his hand closed around its spine. The creature called out in shock and pain as Tyler snapped its spine like a twig, and the Brute folded in half. A foolish Stryker-class tried to rush him then, but Tyler had already sliced its arms off before it realized what happened. The bestial side of him demanded that he feed from his fallen enemies, but something else was written across his mind, preventing him from doing so. He growled in confusion as the two sides fought inside of him...and finally just tore the armless Stryker's head off in sheer frustration. This went on for the space of seven minutes: cutting, tearing, eviscerating anything that moved before Tyler. Luckily, the residents were all locked safely away from his field of vision. After an effective eternity of being sealed up, Tyler's mind returned to him as the effects of the doped blood wore off within minutes, just as he had intended. The torn bodies of their enemies littered the ground around the breached wall, and Tyler was horrified when he first saw the sight as himself. The beast was then no more. He collapsed where he stood, his body completely drained of energy, and his breathing was shallow and labored. He removed the radio from his belt, thankful that it was not damaged in his rampage.
"Eleanor...it's alright, now. I'm me again...." he managed to mumble into the black mouthpiece before exhaustion overtook him.

Ellie ran off when he waved her away, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire. Climbing up the ladder of the nearest guard tower, she watched the scene play out, half dreading what will happen to her husband. What if the effect of the blood was permanent and he didn't turn back to normal? She didn't want to think about it, but she did anyway. But, thankfully, that didn't happen as she watched Tyler slowly shift back to normal. Sighing in relief when he radioed her, she slid down the ladder to run back to his side. Kneeling by his head, she lifted him up so his head was resting on her shoulder, arms wrapped around his shoulders in a hug.

Tyler forced his eyes open to gaze into a beautiful set of green irises. He felt warm in Ellie's embrace, and was infinitely thankful that she was there.
"Hello, darlin'," he said weakly. He placed a hand on hers, and felt hot blood and tears spill from his eyes as the serum removed itself from his body. "That...was the scariest thing I've ever experienced. Never gonna happen again," he promised. He craned his neck to kiss Ellie's neck, as it was the closest part of her that he could reach.

((I meant for it to happen on the battlefield. lol if you read back over Dragon's last post, you'll see that she was watching from a guard tower and ran down to ground level when the radio call came in. Ah, whatever. I'll fix it myself when I make the compiled version of Promised Land.))
