Earendil chuckled. "Well, to be fair, there's a lot that's bigger than Wish," he grinned.
He pondered setting Miyuki on the ground, but he didn't need her running off and scaring the horses - or worse yet, the unicorns.

She tired to peer down at her Ada from where she was upon his shoulders. IT was very hard to see his face this way. Her tails were wagging back and forth brushing against his shoulders.
"Can we get closer? Pleaseeeeeee....."

Earendil smiled. "Yes, but it is very important, Miyuki, that you remain calm. If the horses or unicorns are startled, they can be very dangerous. All right?"
He wasn't going to let her get closer without a promise, he wanted her - and Lin - to stay safe.

Miyuki blinked at him as if to ponder this statement for a moment or two, "Okay!"
She was perfectly fine with that, she didn't want them to be dangerous. They were so big they could probably squish her.

"Good." Earendil knelt down again. "Down you go. But stay close."
He would have to hold her hand just to be sure ...

Lin already took one of Miyuki's hands since she was still holding the doll. She already had a feeling that keeping a hold of Miyuki would be for the best.
Miyuki who seemed to understand this concept reached out with her free hand to grab her ada's.

Earendil reached down and took Miyuki's hand, holding it gently but firmly as he led her and Lin towards the stables.
"Which shall we see first?" he asked Miyuki with a smile, looking down at her. "The horses or the unicorns?"

"Uni-corns!" Miyuki exclaimed.
Because they were very pretty and in some ways in her eyes, very shiny. They seemed far more amazing than the horses.

Earendil chuckled. "All righty then. This way."
He veered toward the stable on the right, where the unicorns were standing free. "But we can't get too close, all right? If they come to you, that's fine, but don't go up to them. It might scare them."
Which wouldn't be good.
As they approached the stable, some of the unicorns looked up at them. They were Idealistic unicorns: shimmering silver horns, manes and tails, and with a slight silver shimmer to their otherwise white bodies.

Miyuki looked up at them with wide eyes, they were so pretty and sparkly. It seems that Lin had adopted quite the girly girl in a way. Though her ada's comment confused her.
"But I'm not scary."

"You don't have to be scary for creatures to be scared of you," Earendil smiled at her. "It's just the fact that you aren't the same creature as they are, and that they sometimes don't like things that are different."
He stopped just inside the shade of the roof so that they would be out of the sun, near the unicorns but not too close.
The unicorns flicked their tails and stared at the three of them, but other than that they didn't move.

Miyuki stared at him blankly, that didn't make much sense to her. Though she supposed she could be scary in the way something scary looked scary but wasn't really scary at all. Still, she was so small!
"But they're bigger than me."

*Not much that isn't, at your size,* a voice flitted through their heads, followed by a titter.
Earendil chuckled. "She'll grow," he told the unicorns, taking it as perfectly natural that they would talk in his head.

Lin glanced at the unicorns, though not overly surprised. She was used by now to have creatures one wouldn't normally associated with talking to suddenly 'talk'. Though having the voices in her head was a new one.
"You talked in my head!" Miyuki looked up at them in awed.
The novelty of odd things hadn't quite worn off at her age.

*Where else would we talk, in your feet?* came the response. A few of the unicorns danced around as their laughter rolled through the minds of those who were watching them.
"Now, now," Earendil chuckled, "be nice, she's never seen unicorns before."
*Then she's missed out,* came a second unicorn voice, and then a third one chimed in, *At least they came to see us first.*
