ScarletFrost I hate my job. I love the people I work with, they're delightful fossils, but getting my schedule jerked around like this at a moment's notice!!! (I have to go to work at 10 pm tomorrow night.) That's the way it was for me when I was a security guard. (Yes, it is okay to make fun of me for being a rent-a-cop) They would call me up,( knowing damn well that I don't have a car so I needed at least 24 hours notice to arrange reliable transportation) and ask me if I could be at a site that was like 30 miles away in an hour. Then they would cut my hours when I said I can't. They were really really childish about the way they ran their company.

Vengeful Elegance ScarletFrost I hate my job. Rent-a-cops have a tough job because the employer expects them to be as effective as a full time cop and the trouble makers give them absolutely 0 respect. I totally understand that with frail elderly people, they can take one misstep and twist their ankle, and their whole month's schedule needs to be changed at a moment's notice. But they're still just too disorganized. They don't have a proper administration staff, just other care givers who try to coordinate things while they're ON ASSIGNMENT!!! And they don't hold their clients to the original contract. "Oh, so you signed a contract for 8 hours of care daily for 3 weeks, but sure, you can change it to 12 hours one day, four hours the next, and leave umpteen caregivers hanging while we rearrange this for you." On tuesday, my schedule changed from 7p -7a, to 10p -8a, and then I got an e-mail that said my shift ended at 6a instead. I resolved to stay until either another caregiver came or the rest of the house was awake and could take care of my client--which was not going to be at 6 AM!!!

Yeah my mother-in-law was a security guard years back... talk about a bad situation. They are not allowed to carry protective equipment, yet possibly have to deal with the bad elements. They are suppose to just call the authorities if there is a bad problem and sit there to deter the generic wanna-bes who get scared off by a uniform i guess.

hell, i love Security Guards. i hate cops, but i love Security Guards. at least they are actually doing their job description of keeping Peace and protecting something-or-other, rather than bullshitting around and targeting easy-to-arrest teens. >.> ******** framers planting weed...
anywho, if i were hiring a Security Guard for ANYTHING i'd give him all the equipment he could likely (or hell, even just possibly) need. i have alot of respect for Security Guards.

My mom's a phsycologist. My dad's a senior pastor.
My brother is in college. My other brother works part-time at Dairy Queen.
I'm too young. Child labor laws, ya know. I sometimes work for my grandfather.
Grandparents are retired. My aunt works at a forging company. Her fiance...some work shop that includes machinery.
That's it. *leaves*

But I'm going out to spend the night at a friend's place soon ((I'll be putting up the poll for my contest from there)), then I've got work the next day and the day after I'm going drinking, not to mention I have tonnes of schoolwork to do... so busy, busy D:
...then the words drifted away, never to be heard again...

Just stopping in while on vacation, my nerves were shot for a little while. I met the hopefully to be in-laws. Good people, strange though. Off this trip I made a whole new family, and soon I go with my beautiful woman back to her college and attend a few classes before going back to my job, which is a computer job, and I am a petty officer in the USN. I love you all in the guild, and if/when I get married you are invited XD Sorry for the ranting post. Onto the people with wanting to get wasted and why? Whats wrong?
