" Well that was one of the dangers I took when I left my armor behind. but honestly I didn't expect Elites to be here" he said as he ran his fingers through his hair. He couldn't really blame himself for not knowing, but he didn't really care. He peered briefly over to his right and noted that through the thick trees he could see a building. It was handy information in the event they needed shelter.

"I don't think you could have known otherwise..." Koyuki offered, watching him run his fingers through his hair for what had to be the hundredth time. "You do that a lot..." She couldn't stifle the giggle that threatened to some out from grinning lips, trying to look around but kept finding herself watching the spartan and his peculiar mannerisms.
When the crack of thunder in the near distance made her jump a bit, her eyes seemed to light up at the monstrous sound from the skies. "Sugoi!" She forgot to translate as she grinned, "I haven't heard a thunderstorm in ages!" She'd heard they could get very dangerous and intense up her in the demi mountains around the valley, but most of the time they were just spectacular to watch.

The spartan chuckled at her comment. He was about ready to say something in reply, the the sudden crack of thunder had his ears perk up. "Hmm..Well there's nothing wrong with a storm. But i don't imagine you want to get wet now do you?" he raised his eyebrows thinking he may have known the answer, but was going to wait just in case she surprised him

"Ano..." She thought about this, the question that seemed to plague her whenever she was met with something that could 'ruin' her image. Casting a prolonged glance up to the dark skies, it seemed to be a matter between desire and saving grace. While her kimono had just dried and her hair had just been re-set...there was something that just screamed inwardly to just go for it.
"Well...not too wet. If you catch my drift." The vixen winked, she knew she did not want to get soaked, but at the same time what was a little dampness to her clothes that would dry out in a hour or two. Her hair didn't bother her much, as she'd luckily placed a little comb in her hair for tradition's sake as an accessory so it wasn't like she couldn't reset her hair after they'd found shelter right?
"What do you think, Jerome?" She inquired as she looked up to her companion, wondering if he'd want to go in or not.

The spartan scoffed a bit "I don't mind if I'm wet or dry..just to warn you though..this suit can smell pretty bad when it gets wet" he said with a smile. He turned a bit and started to head over to the thick foliage where he saw a building earlier. "i saw some shelter back here. Perhaps if we start heading that way, you can get your dampness and still get out of the rain when if gets bad" he said as he paused to push aside a troublesome bush for the lady to walk through

"Oh lovely!" She laughed, shaking her head as she watched him push aside the bush. "Word of the wise, you should wait till after to tell a female that, then there is no choice in the matter whether you stink or not." Winking playfully, she bowed her head to the spartan and walked through the bushes onto the other side. "Why thank you sir..." Perhaps it was the idea of spring on the horizon that had the female in such a playful mood, since there seemed to be a little more grace in the way she strode along the unbeaten path.
Upon reaching the other side and out from the treeline for a moment; she shook her head as a drop of rain splashed against the bridge of her nose, looking around to see the storm slowly settle above in the skies. Holding out her paw she watched as a few dropped against her pads, a bit chilled but nothing compared to the snow. Spring really did seem on the horizon...

Jerome chuckled. "Well at least I warned you yes?" he said as he waited for Koyuki to go through. He then followed behind and watched as she looked up at the sky. He looked ahead and with his sharp eyes, managed to make out the words 'Police Department' on the building. He frowned and blinked a few times. " Odd...what's a PD doing way out here?" he said as he stepped forward into the clearing to see a single storied building with few windows lining the bottom.

"Hmm?" Koyuki blinked and turned her head curiously to where Jerome had been looking to spot the building as well; it seemed a bit strange to have a Policing department out here in the middle of no where and not closer to the shop than it was. "Do you think anyone is there?" Maybe it was abandoned, or worse...haunted! A small chill ran down her spine as she found herself gravitating rather close to the larger male; ears perked to try and listen.
As the rain began to spit down, the vixen lowered her ears to keep from getting any water in them; looking to Jerome to see if he still wanted to go check the place out or perhaps go look for something else. A part of her knew he'd want to check; seeing as they were roughly the same principle profession of protection.

"I don't know..but this is all we have so we might as well take advantage of it. Besides, I think I see the lights are on" his observation was noticable now because the dark clouds had made the once sunny sky similar to dusk. He marched his way over to the front doors made of glass and tugged, finding they were easy to open.
"Well..in we go" he said as he waited for Koyuki to get to the door and go inside.

"Alright..." Diligently she followed Jerome towards the building, once more nodding her head as she entered into the shelter from the rain; but did not move far from the door once inside. Looking back to make sure he'd followed her in right after, another loud crack from the thunder rumbled outside while she looked around. "What if we get in trouble for trespassing?" she said on hushed vocals; she was already in trouble for breaking the window back at the shop which she was working off; but to linger in a building like this certainly couldn't be allowed?
Maybe it wasn't a good idea, since she couldn't really hear much inside since the rain had begun to pour outside as they lingered near the door. Once more she found herself looking to Jerome wondering what they should do and waiting for him to take lead.

The Spartan shut the glass door as the rain began to poor down. Now they were between the outside and the inside of the actual department. He scoffed a bit."It's a Police department. Honestly if they didn't want us in, then why go to such efforts of letting us know what this place is?" he said as he opened the second glass door, again waiting for Koyuki. While he waited he examined the inside of the lobby as to what it seemed
The room itself was fair in size. It had a large metal door at the opposite end. Right next to it was a series of glass windows which viewed an office area. Basically it looked like the average police department lobby. but something was off. It was strangely empty. He didn't notice the familiar creature sitting in the corner nearby

"Well it could be closed or something!" She retorted, she didn't even know the place existed let alone how it worked. Yet usually there would be someone like a receptionist if it was really welcoming anyone right? she stuck close to his side, not really feeling comfortable enough to venture and 'explore'. It looked plain enough, as her eyes fell over the chairs, the front desk and the office through the glass.
It was mid day though, so why wasn't anyone working?
Another loud rumble of thunder, this time vibrating the windows with its sheer volume as she looked to the outside world; yet as a crackle of lighting lit up the offices in a bright light...she was not prepared for what her eye caught in the corner of the lobby. Immediately her tail poofed to double its size as she backed right into Jerome "J.....Jerome..." She wasn't sure if the Arbiter had noticed they were there or not, but most likely he had with the racket they'd been making.
....at least she realized why this place was empty.

" What is it?" he asked suddenly noticing her tail had doubled in size. He looked over and saw the huge elite hunched over in a corner where there were no chairs. His long neck was bowed inward to his body and on of his arms was folded neatly over the gunshot wound from earlier. Jerome was perplexed. Elites would have heard them, so why didn't this one notice. Cautiously he tiptoed over and examined the elite, quickly realizing that the beast had merely fallen asleep
"It's ok Koyuki. He's sleeping" he whispered as quietly as he could. It did make sense though as to why no one else was here. It was obvious he had gotten out of the rain and decided that this was a good place to rest

"Sleeping?" Cautiously she walked over in silence, shifting the weight on her paws to make her inaudible. Bending down slightly she looked over at the sleeping Arbiter, in a way he almost looked; well...cute as he slept. A crazy idea that something so capable of destruction and mayhem would be as peaceful and serene when asleep. Glancing to Jerome, she wondered if it would be a good idea of they stayed.
It was apparent he had no liking to Jerome but a fascination with her, unless he'd 'figured' her out.
"What do we do?" She whispered back, glancing to the spartan as she found herself rubbing her arm with her paw nervously. Not that she was keen on venturing out in the heart of the storm yet she wasn't sure if staying here would be wise either.

Jerome pondered for a moment. He was sure that the creature wouldn't hurt them even if he did wake up, so staying was a good option. However there was always that wonderful X factor where there was something else equally frightening somewhere. Still staying inside where it was warm and dry was a good option..until he saw something rather frightening in his mind walk through the glass doors.Something very pink and girly...a Princess
It had been a long journey for the Princess of Mushroom kingdom, but she was finally home. She didn't mind the rain thanks to her hand umbrella, but she still had to watch for mud puddles. She eventually got inside of the usually quiet building and folded her umbrella. She opened the second door, humming a cheerful tune and then noticed Jerome and Koyuki. "Oh? Company? Well that's great!" she said with a pleasant smile and cheerful tone.
