Thank you very much, Figuren.... redface ... I've actually been trying after letting myself go after children, so compliments make me feel AWESOME!
Anyway, I think body image and the idea of beauty tend to have allot to do with location... I know my family in California seem to have what I consider impossible standards for body image... and that is all they talk about... how I could be one of the "prettiest girls EVAR, if I took care of my body."
The people in New York think I am absolutely beautiful, besides being overweight which really isn't any issue there. The fact that I can play almost any instrument, or draw with any media seems to give me a novelty status. They consider me to have naive ideals though, which to them is a bit of a turn off... I know my way around art and music, so the pluses in my culture tend to balance out my perceived negatives in regards to my standards of attitude.
In Texas, my overweight issue tends to be a problem, but it disappears after people get to know me, and being able to have real fun and throw caution in the wind seems to be the biggest pick-up factor.

this reminds me, I need to get new pics of me up. my goatie is butchered! gonk and my hair is so short, grrr! >.>
I trimmed my goatie to be sharp instead of square. it was JUST full enough to do so without thinning out too much. and then, a couple weeks later I accidentally shaved my neck too much under the chin, and now it looks scraggly. xp

Chieftain Twilight I am a consciencious objector in that war. =w= Then you are a casualty, whether you know it or not. mrgreen Perhaps it's better to say in the skirmish of first impressions? of overall impressions? of judging books by covers? That all works too.

oh, I already know I am... sweatdrop and when I talk about it it sometimes gets viewed in a sexist or mysoginist way... xp
it's not exacty easy to just get over emotional and psychological damage.... >.> I don't mean to be sexist when I say I find it harder to trust women than men -- in my experience they've betrayed me consistantly, with only a few exceptions, and I have leastways come to understand easier how a man's mind works in general so I empathize more in that regard.

It isn't actually sexist to say "I find it harder to trust women than men." It's a statement of personal experience, not wide-spread judgement. I'm kinda in the same boat as you--I find it much easier to relate and read men than women. Women mask more because they are usually more insecure, which makes sense since the judgement guideline seems to be women's interpretation of what men want tin women...so it gets all confused and complicated and conflicted. A sexist statement would be "Women are always harder to trust than men" or "Men are always more trustworthy than women." These sorts of comments would usually be followed by immediate denial or gender bashing.

Oh, I've got all the shotgun I'll ever need. Who needs a SPAS-12 when you have something tested and fielded by the United States Military and loved for its ruggedness and reliability?
Granted, this one's not the A1, but I'm sure it'll last just as long.

Make sure I've got plenty of ammunition (Brenneke K.O. rifled slugs and Remington Law Enforcement Reduced Recoil .00 Buckshot, both are great for soft targets) and you've got a deal.
I've also got a scoped Enfield .303 I can use for long range. cool
