He was too sleepy to notice. He sat his butt down, yawning as he listened to the challenge and nommed on his biscuit.

Still sleepy, he dozed off for a bit, only to be woken up almost immediately by Chef yelling some more. An obstacle course, huh? That was kind of... Insane! Mannnn, he'd never done any of this s**t in his life. Muttering darkly, something he seemed to be doing a lot, he got in line for the first part--the wire crawl. Oh yeah, this is what he came to camp for.

His turn came up, and he looked down at his clothes. ********. At least he wasn't wearing anything too nice. He got down on his hands and knees and flattened himself out so he could shimmy under the wires.

Em landed, wobbling uneasily at the end of the gator pit, and sighed. She flung herself forwards, turning so she was now sitting on her rump making sure she'd retained all of her limbs over the pit. Deciding that if she was in fact missing anything that it was nothing of importance she set off to the Beaver balance.

She tottered onto the log and made sure to keep a wary eye out for beavers and stray 'Gulls.

She yelped, splashing hard into the water and pawed at a beaver nibbling on her tail. She pulled herself out of the water, looking very unhappy and shook off as she glared angrily behind her.
She was not going to let a silly log beat her! No, her pride would not stand for that.
She got back up and tried it again.

... Awesome. He'd done the first part perfect. It'd taken him a bit, he'd been trying not to snag his clothes, but he'd gotten through it fine. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all.

A bit of a grin on his face, he headed for the next part. Climbing a cliff, eh... He could do that. Or at least he hoped so. Looking up at the looming rock, he bit his lip, then steeled himself for the ascent, and just went for it.

Heh! Axl reached the top without a problem. Turns out he was better at climbing cliffs than he was climbing trees! That, or Lady Luck had just been on his side. He'd found all the perfect hand holds and foot rests. Whatever it was, he was pretty proud of himself. He'd have to brag to Jay about that one!

His grin was a bit wider now as he jogged his way over to the next part, the creek with the gators. Having already spent the better part of an afternoon in a gator's mouth, he wasn't all that scared. When the rope came to him, he rubbed his hands against a non-muddy spot on his pant leg and grabbed it, getting a running start before he swung himself across.

Well, that didn't work out for him. He didn't make it all the way across the river before he tumbled in the water. Cursing and swearing, he swatted at a gator that came toward him, glaring at it. Did he think he could fend them off with a well-pointed look? Who knew. He wasn't going to wait around to see if it worked though, he booted it back to the riverbank to try it again.

This time he put enough force into it, and sailed across the river. He let go of the rope when he was sure he would make it safe across and landed, somewhat gracefully even, on his knee on the far side of the bank. "Yesssssssssssss." He punched the air, did a bit of air guitar and a little shimmy, then made his way over to the next part.

Oh man. Beavers. He didn't like those little buggers. Man, he lived in Canada, and he didn't like them. Shuddering a bit, he took a deep breath and climbed up on the log, getting ready to scurry across as fast as he could.

Helen fidgeted as she got closer to the alligator pit, this one was awful, it was probably hr least favorite. She'd already failed it once the first tiem and was worried she'd pull the same move again, the vines/ropes didn't look that string. Gathering her courage, Helen ran and leaped in the air, letting out a cry Tarzan would be proud of.

And a performance he'd be proud of too. as the cry ended, she landed on the other side un harmed and dry. She couldn't believe it! She beat the alligators in one go. Laughing, she walked off to the next obstacle and her spirits started falling again.

Tentatively, Helen stepped out onto the log, it gave way a little, and she was scared it was going to collapse, who knows how many times it's been walked on today. Steeling herself, Helen walked forward carefully, minding where she put her foot and especially where the seagulls were flying. Those beavers down below were pretty feisty and she didn't fancy another meeting with them.

With one last leap, Helen cleard the log and fell onto solid ground. She couldn't believe it, that first obstacle was the only one she messed up on! Now, she thought, whether to do it all again, three more times, or not.

(( run two - wire crawl - fail ))

Lucifer muttered under his breath. He had gotten through the course once, why the hell was he going through it again? Because he wasn't going to let his little fanboy show him up, that's why.

Hmph!

Of course, maybe it was just that he was a pyromaniac and he was determined to find something he could use later on. Whatever, he crouched, ears back, tail flat, time to go again.

Arrg, what the ******** hell?! He had done this so easily the last time, what the hell was wrong with ********, ********, ********, that was his tail caught in the wire! Snarl! Turning around as best he could, snarling, tail jerking madly, Lucifer struggled to pull his tail free. Great, just great.

His tail at last free, Lucifer tried again.

(( run two - cliff climb ))

Growling, clear of the wire this time, Lucifer stood, tail twitching as he strode to the cliff for the second time. Damn it, that had not been cool, stupid tail.

A glare, arms crossed, he searched the cliff face, searching for the best handholds, the quickest way up. Hmph, let's just get this over with...damn that last obstacle had put him in a bad mood.

THUNK! Something hit him, and he cried out. Aw ********. It was probably a beaver. Yeah, it was definitely a beaver. He whirled around trying to find the thing so he could kick it away. In his panic, he stumbled and got hit again, another loud thunk to the chest. As he was falling off, he realized what had hit him--a ******** seagull. If he hadn't been looking for the non-existent beaver... He probably could have made it.

Cursing and swearing, he made his way back for another try.

(( run two - gator pit ))

Following the same path as he had before seemed to work, this time at least. Finding each handhold, he had succeeded in pulling himself to the top of the cliff. (Heh, later he was so coming back here to dig out all those supposed landmines, and then he'd use them how -he- wanted to, heh heh).

Oh, great, the gators again, damn it, he really hated water. Let's just get this one over with...
