Anyways, on the subject of gods :

Here's the breakdown for now (and yes, I just now decided to come up with essentially all these) :

Elves: Two deities

Celandril (aka The Earth Mother) - goddess of nature, harmony and the earth and soil. (Druids primary god)

Kirith Angmar (aka The Watcher) - the superior god of the elves, father to prowess with the blade, magic and intrigue

Humans: Five Deities

Balpheron - The patron god of all humans, he was a hero of the First Age, who ascended to heavenly status, assuming his role of the king of the human pantheon. He represents justice, righteousness and honor. He is the chief god of all paladins.

Nidrasil - The god of commerce and economics

Mori Dae (aka The Spinner of Fates) - human goddess of knowledge, truth and magic

Pythos/Zinthos (aka The Tidallord or The Windkeeper) - twin gods (Though they are essentially one in the same) of the seas and winds, both are representations of travel and safe or perilous journey

Ka'Renthis (aka The Soulwarden) - The dark god of the underworld, although he is responsible for carrying souls of the righteous to the next life, he is also charged with the duty of guarding the lost souls in the underworld, this has corrupted his views on life and while he still performs his duties, he is dour and quick to anger.

Halflings: Two Deities

Caltrop (aka The Sharp One) - Halfling god of trickery, artful conversation and quick thinking.

Arra (aka The Lucky Lady) - Halfling goddess of luck and fortune

Dwarves: Three Deities

Hrolfnir - dwarven god of battle and hearty drinks

Valdicia (aka Mistress of the Mountain) - dwarven goddess, represents the earth and the pursuit of perfection in crafts such as blacksmithing and construction/architecture

Murgoth (aka The Highfather) - The king of the dwarven pantheon, master of fire and ice. His legend is that he was born from the fires of the world, only to form the icy mountains with only his bare hands. The father of all dwarves and their arts.

As stated, orcs do not have a religion beyond ancestor worship and simple belief in the "afterlife".

Chaos-All races, however, believe in the existence of the god of chaos and discord. He chooses where and when he interacts with the peoples of the world and does so in whatever fashion he sees fit.

(Side Note and Offtopic: Kai, it really would be interesting since you are an orcish knight, to convert to the religion of Balpheron, which is the chief god of Paladins)

Actually, that isn't a bad idea. It kinda speaks to becoming all that you can and it does follow a mortal...or at least a god that was originally mortal. Essential, he is a very powerful ancestor...though with no relation to Tjaden -_-. Buuuuut we can figure something out ^_^
Tjaden will have to 'come across' the religion at some point and slowly learn about it before truly converting.

Look at the first post on this specific page(16) for the Official list of gods for each race. For some reason the link sends you straight to the middle of the page instead of the top.

Selce, I planned when the party reaches Haven, everyone will gain another level and since the original players who started out with us will now be reaching 10, I intend to allow your wizard to gain a familiar after speaking with the Archmage Alanna in the city who will teach you a spell to call to your side your familiar.

The familiar will be according to your alignment, and I will tell you now what it is:

A Fairy Dragon
They are about 1 foot tall, weigh roughly 20 lbs. when they first start out. Just like the ranger's pet they will level with you and become more valuable and capable.

In fact, once you reach level 18 (long long ways away lol), I have a special plan in store for familiars/pet classes that involves those two freakin' awesome words: Cooperative Attack.

Bad a**... co-op attacks are amazing.

and an idea struck me. Why name make Troj a half-orc? That way the human godking is an ancestor. Or better yet we make it so that the first Orc becomes a god himself? I mean with all those orc's worshiping the memories of their ancestors the first work would have alot of followers.

Haha, I would ask for a familiar to, cuz my personality wise i'm an animal lover, but I could just call on random animals. Even tho a special, specific one would be oh so bad a** xD. And the only summon Prometheus can do right now would exhaust him.

sorry I haven't been able to do much today, when my brother sits down on WoW I get a stare and an angry frown (if not a haranguing about how "I have school") and have to get off ASAP.

I'd be more willing to sympathize if he didn't end his arguments "Not to be an a*****e but..."

That's all 6 asleep. Can we wake up Now? Also, what are the stat upgrades for halflings and at what levels?
PostPosted: Fri Sep 11, 2009 8:50 pm

When the time to level up arrives, I use it as a check-in for all players. They have to message me to get their upgrade info.

It's only class level ups, I don't factor in races. Races are just there to add accent to the characters as well as the restrictions between classes.

See, as an English specialist, experienced ESL teacher and a certified English teacher, I must point out to said brother that:

a) the word 'but' does not exempt his actions from being a-hole-esque. The fact of the matter is that not only is he pulling rank, which can be a form of bullying (a subject of my study in my education program) but he recognizes how is actions may be unfair and irritating. Even armed with the knowledge of the repercussions of his actions, your brother than chooses to disregard the impact they have on you in favour of playing a game that limits human interaction to "plz heel me."

b) No scholarly argument with any value whatsoever has ever started with the word 'but.' In fact, that word should rarely if ever appear in any argument in which you seek to assert the superiority of your thesis....unless arguing with your parents because chances are they are going to win anyway.

c) Just because you have school, it has no baring on the fact that, as a member of your household and family, you have the same rights and privileges as your brother. That is to say, if you are using a family computer (not owned by either of you) then you should have equal shares of time utilizing such equipment. While staying up to ungodly hours on a school night may be unwise, it is entirely your decision when you make use of the time that is rightfully yours.

In conclusion, if he starts whining at you to get off so he can play WOW, tell him to stop leveling up in ranks of (insert reasonable and witty insulting class here like ranks of deepweed, jerk or ranger) and leave you alone.

This has been brought to you by the analysis of a member of the Brothers Against Brothers Association and is meant mostly in jest as a Random Activity for he Mildly Bored.

I'd rather not, the main plot is going to change the face of the world as it is in the end and I'd prefer to avoid changing anything dramatically such as the entire race's beliefs.

As for the half-breed thing... I think it may be more of a character development jump if he remains as a full orc and yet still sees the "Light of Balpheron" and eventually converts over.

@Kai..... your previous OOC post... *clap*

O.o Kai your post just raised my IQ level!

But anyway Tonas your ideas are amazing. I also agree with your last staement regarding a full orc finding the "Light of Balpheron". And lol got you to reveal some part of the plot... although a very small unimportant part.
(But I assume it will be important as we will be learning about our 'friends' and maybe a certain group of artifacts?)

Troj is a very Orcy name...but not mine >.< Sorry I missed your post the first time around....I had time to make my other post and that was about it...I had to leave for the amusement park.

And I am with Tonas, I rather like the idea of a full Orc follower of Balpheron. Not because making Tjaden have human blood is a bad idea, which it isnt, especial if this were a novel. I actually thought of somehow making him like 1/8th human or something, just to have SOME link to Balpheron, but I am afraid that would compromise his cahracter.

I rather keep him full Orc for a few other reasons though. FIrstly, so many fantasy stories use Orcs as the bad guys. Even in WOW where their evil tendencies are balanced by their proud and honourable warrior image, the Orcs are still evil. Therefore, I find the whole half-orc thing to be a lame excuse as to why orcs are player characters "oh yeah, he is an Orc....but he isnt evil cause he isnt a FULL orc"...cause you know...evil is a genetically inherited trait! Secondly, I figured that the main reason for any Orc to start following a human religion would have to tie in to a very real world application, which is usually a strong trait of ancestor worship. That is to say, Tjaden's spirituality must have either an immediate physical affect or a long term empirical goal which directly affects Tjaden. In this case, my eventual reason for converting is going to be Tjaden's desire to be an example for all Orcs of becoming better than you are and overcoming hardship. His end goal is to preach the word of Balpheron's ascension, demonstrating that even the tie between the physical and metaphysical realms can be broken.

Tjaden is also the perfect excuse of a god-following Orc...as an orphan, he has no knowledge of his own ancestors, so he can have a loose definition of ancestor or he can easily form ties with other people's ancestors so long as he is adopted into their family. Thus, if he is adopted into the religion of Balpheron, he can consider Balperhon as if he was an ancestor of the whole religion.
