((Um, Strider, Echo's at a different pla--Eh, I'll go along with it, just go with it too, lol. Oh, Rayne says she's been getting bored of RPing, she's lost her passion for it...What about teh Keeper leader now? Me and her had a plan...))
"Thanks, I think. Well, first of all, I was drugged by your gas. Then you kidnapped me..." Cher said, annoyance now creeping into her voice. "For, some reason I don't know."
Echo walked past to two Keepers to look at the wall. There were maps taped up there, schematics and floor plans. He pulled one down and looked at it, a small smile growing on his face. "This will come in handy later." He browsed some more of the maps and tore a good few down, handing them to the phoenix. "Take these and hold onto them. We'll be leaving shortly." The phoenix nodded and Echo turned his attention to the Keepers. "Well, we can't have you two survivors here, can we? Witnesses, you know?" He took out his heavy revolver and slammed the butt of it on one of the two men's heads, dropping him. He aimed down and shot, killing him easily, then raised the gun up to the other man's head. "I'll need you to strip. I'm not a pervert, if that's what you're thinking." The man glared at him hatefully but did so, and Echo went to the dead phoenix's body. He used a fireball to set it on fire, watching it burn until there was only ash. A phoenix rose up from them, reborn, eyes glittering. "Get changed. It won't do to have you running around naked as a human." He gestured to the Keeper's discarded clothes and disposed of the remaining man. "Right, we'll set up camp in this town. The Keeper's main base can't be too far away, if there's a scout station here." He walked up the stairs out of the cellar, looking northward. Somewhere, the Keeper's were hiding out.

Kana nodded a bit as she continued to look through the bag at the stuff she took. "You seemed interesting. And when I see something of interest, I tend to take it." Looking over a PDA, her gaze bore into Cher's eyes. "If I release you, will you try to run? I would like you to stay for a while, if not a long time."

((Waitin' for Strider to post...Darn, he's taking long to.))
Cher felt sympathy for Kana and she raised her ehad up to look at her. She must be alone most of the time, except for her plants to keep her company. And they couldn't talk. "Um, sure. I wouldn't even know the way back to the base anyway. But I'd like to let the others know I'm okay." She said softly.

Kana nodded at her request to tell her companions that she's well, trying not to smile at the innocence of the small request. "I can do that." Waving a hand over her, the vines receded, releasing her. Letting out a high pitch whistle, a fox came padding to her side a couple of minutes later. "There's a quill and inkwell over by the desk, along with a couple scraps of parchment. You can write a message to your friends then give it to Suichi here. Just tell him who to look for and he'll see that it's delivered to the right person. He's very smart; my most trusted messenger."

((Whoops, I was preoccupied with something...Sorry 'bout that. sweatdrop Yeah, I explained in an earlier post that she told me that she wasn't as interested in role playing anymore. It's probably school, and she said that she might start again during the summer.))

((Possibly...My bad guy's pretty much doing nothing for now...))
Cher smiled at Kana. "Thanks." She nodded her head gratefully and stood up, wobbling a little. She rubbed her wrists as she went over to the desk her new, unlikely, friend had indicated. She picked up a quill and it took a few times for her to be able to write properly with it, and not drip ink all over the page.
Echo watched as his phoenix forces calmed down, settling on roofs and some on the ground in their human form. Though they were content, he was not, even after killing the two Keepers. He heard the two that had been down in the cellar with him make their way to join the others. He stopped them with his arm, more specifically the curving blade that was attached to his wrist. "Do any of those maps have locations of other Keeper outposts?" He asked pointedly, his fire red eyes blazing. The one that was holding the maps fumbled through them noisily for a few minutes before finding one. Echo snatched it from him and scanned the local map. It looked like there was one underground, only about 2 miles away. "What're ya thinkin'?" The one in the dead Keeper's clothes asked. Echo looked up and said simply, "To have some fun."

Kana couldn't help but chuckle a bit at her slight incompetence at writing with ink. She, herself, doesn't write all that often. But when she does, she at least knows how much ink to put onto the quill. While Cher was writing she noticed several different drawings of the same people. Some were charcol, some were in color. All, though, were the same in that it depicted two men; a fox man and a man with bat wings. And, venturing into the even more bazaar, if one looked close enough, they could see that the two men and Kana looked alike.

Cher finished writing her note and waved her hand over the ink to make it dry faster. While she waited, she turned to look at Kana and ask her a question. "Are those...your brothers?" she pointed at one of the drawings.

At Cher's question, Kana looked up and over at the half elf. Her eyes traveled to one of the pictures, causing a sad look to cross her face. It looked so sincere, so heartbroken that even Suichi bowed her head in respect, that even the plants that were growing around the den wilted just a tad. "No," she replied softly. She paused, then, as if contemplating whether to tell her or not. Finally, she spoke. "They're my parents."

"Your...parents?" Cher asked, looking back at the drawings, then at Kana. She didn't ask the most obvious question on her mind, though she did feel confused and sad for her friend. "Uh, I-I'm sorry, Kana."
Echo had gathered a semi-small force of phoenixes that were still feeling anxious like he was. "Right, here's the plan. We fly there, kill every Keeper we see, then come back here for some down time. Understood?" The other phoenixes nodded in agreement, most smiling at the prospect of killing the unaware Keepers. "Let's move out then." They all switched to their natural bird forms and took off, following Echo, who had memorized the place on the map.

Kana couldn't help but smile a bit at her surprised expression. She was fully expecting it, after all. "It's alright. I bet you're wondering how they're my parents, huh?" Once she received a nod from her, she began to explain. "Demons are much different from you humans. For example, males from certain species are able to give birth. Silver yoko just happen to be one of those species. The race was dying out at one point, with females being harder to find than males. Then, a doctor came along and gave their genetics the ability to bare children from male to male. Over time, we mutated and adapted to the genes until the silver yoko race was no longer in danger." With a small, still slightly sad, smile, she added, "Does that make sense? Hmm, Cher?"
