"Oh..." Jake laid back down, and rested his head down softly. He closed his eyes shut tightly, he didn't want to watch, or couldn't be able to, if that was true. The pain would just make him close his eyes anyway.

Jake bit his lip and tired to ignore the feeling as though he was on fire. He kept reminding himself the pain was only temporary.

-After awhile all the movement stopped and Jake looked like Jake- "Ok I think its over. Now try to walk on your own two feet again."

Jake sat up slowly again and tried standing up. His legs shook when he put weight on them, so he plopped down again. "Um, can I ask you a question?"

Do you understand? You could kill every liveing thing in the universe with a single thought. So it is my suggestion that you stay here for a short time and learn about your new found powers. You will find that this place has everything you shall ever need and everything you shall need to learn." -I get up and head for the door- "I shall return for you in good time until then study hard. "Ah." Jake waved a hand at Strider's back. "Bye then." He looked around the room, seeing a low table with books piled on it. Walking over, he saw that a couple of them were really old. He picked one up and started to read. It was an odd book, written in some other language, but he understood what it said.

Jake sat down in a chair and traced the words with a finger, still reading. Pretty soon, he grabbed a different book and placed it on top of the other one, reading that one.

Stephanie began to tug Rayne along, sometimes urging her to follow closer. She'd taken the lead a couple hours ago, swerving around gravestones. She stopped at an old, crumbling one and brushed some moss away, trying to read the fading inscription.
