Faolan tilted his head at her expression as well. A slow, playfully seductive grin spread across his face and he moved, stretching almost cat-like, muscles pulling taut under his bare skin. If she wanted to look, he was all for giving her a nice view.

Ellandra squeaked, covering her eyes as her blush increased to epic proportions. "F-faolan!" She yelped, sitting down on the spot, counting herself lucky that she didn't faint, at least.

"Well, then come here," Faolan purred, moving so he could take her hand, gently tugging on it for her to join him. "Don't tell me you didn't want to look."

The brunette bit her lip and rose to her feet, stumbling over to the bed and nearly falling. "It's - I - I - ummm....." She couldn't think straight! Couldn't speak, couldn't - couldn't - ohhhh, drat... he was right. She blushed furiously, refusing to meet Faolan's eyes but sitting next to him all the same. "I - I . . . um . . ." She stuttered again, more tongue-tied by the sheer fact that he was right - she had wanted to look - than by her situation, which wasn't really all that different from this morning, save that it was Faolan's home and note her own.

Faolan smiled, moving so he could sit up, one leg over the edge of the bed and the other stretched out behind Ellandra. "There's nothing wrong with wanting to look, darlin'. Just say what you're gonna say. I ain't gonna be mad or nothing, you know."

Ellandra shook her head, her hair fanning out around her as she did so. "I - I can't - it's - it's not easy for me, I - i wasn't raised to . . . to s-speak my mind or - or anything," she said, her flustered state increasing her stuttering. She chewed her lip a little, trying to think.

Fao chuckled a bit. "But you speak your mind all the time in your books, don't you?" He sat up more, leaning closer to her, one arm resting on his knee behind her, the other hand on the bed to support himself. Giving a soft smile, he moved so his lips could brush her ear as he purred, "Tell me a story, Elle."

Ellandra squeaked. Again. "I - I - I. . ." She bit her lip, her face turning entirely red as she slumped limply onto the bed, not fainting but no longer able to really hold herself upright properly. "Um. . . I - I think . . ." She bit her lip, her voice little more than a breathy sigh as she continued, "I'd rather hear o-one of your stories. . ."

Faolan watched her with heavy-lidded eyes, reaching out to brush her hair from her face. "Think you've heard plenty of mine. I want to know more about you now." He looked to where his jacket was and smiled, then glanced around till he spotted Zia, the little Essentic perched high on a shelf and watching them with a bemused expression. "Zia, get me the tarot deck, please." He turned to look at Ellandra. "I do believe you promised me the chance to do a proper reading."

Ellandra smiled softly, catching Faolan's hand in hers, beginning to relax again already. "I suppose I did, didn't I?" She asked, tilting her head a little. "B-but can you promise me you're n-not going to try and give me a better reading than you would if you didn't know me? If there's something bad in it, would you tell me?" She continued, her tone serious and curious at the same time.

Faolan gave her a look, ears drooping a bit. "La, girl, I want to know you, not pull the wool over your eyes." He got up as Zia dropped the deck in his outstretched hand and moved to the table, clearing stuff out of the way and off the chairs. Pointing to the opposite side from where he was, he looked at Ellandra. "You sit there."
He took his own seat and began expertly shuffling the tarot deck, then set it in the middle of the table. "Cut the deck and draw a card."

Ellandra went over and sat down, but she looked rather sad. "There's.... not much about me to know, or - at least not more than you already do," she said quietly, looking rather ashamed. "I - I'm sorry I - I upset you," she added while she did as directed.

Faolan put a hand over hers, making her set her card down on the deck again. "Don't do that when you're drawing the tarot card, honey. I only want you thinking about things you want to know about yourself." He smiled at her, ears raising up to their usual position. "Well, you can think about me, too, if you want. And don't apologize. I ain't upset."
He reshuffled the deck and set it back in front of her. "Just relax, my love, and think only of things you want to know in your own life, then cut the deck and draw a card."

Ellandra blushed, biting back another apology, and closed her eyes. Her thoughts were still rather muddled, but for Faolan's sake she would try her best to do this properly. She didn't speak, simply doing as he'd asked and then drawing a card again, wondering how he could be so patient and loving with her when she wasn't anything special. . . and also, a bit of wondering how they had managed to fall for each other so quickly. It wasn't something she'd ever thought possible, after all - but it had happened, and it was real, and it was just . . . just . . . she couldn't put it into words, even in her head.

"That's a bit unusual," Fao said, taking the card from her and laying it on the table. He was confused as to why The Lovers had appeared again. "Try and concentrate more on your own life this time, on things you'd like to know for yourself." He shuffled the deck and lay her hand on it to draw again.
