If I gave you my heart but you gave me your brainKenna pulled her jacket out of their small closet and threw it on. It was crazy to think that in a few months, she wouldn't even be able to wear it. "Are you nervous?" she asked her love. "I am. I hope someone can help me; help us." I would be a heartless idiot...

{(OOC: Omg i am so sorry. First i just had writers block and then i ended up getting so preoccupied with other RPs that i totally forgot this one!!! gonk stressed sweatdrop )}
Kenna smiled at Ian. "I know! It's kind of scary though, ya know?" she asked as she pulled her jacket on and snuggled close to Ian. "I mean, what if I'm not good at being a mom? I think you will make a great dad, I'm just afraid I will be bad at it." She sighed lightly, but could not focus on the bad for too long. She knew that she had to think happy thoughts in order to get through the next nine months in good health. She kissed Ian softly and her eyes sparkled with happiness.

As they stepped through the doorway into the cold outside air, she saw the large flakes falling down like cotton once again. It was so beautiful...pure and pristine. She turned to Ian and gave him a sweet smile and kissed him once again; she would never look at snow the same way ever again.

Ian held her hand as they walked to the free clinic. Hopefully, they would get a chance to learn about parenthood.

When they arrived at the clinic, it was nearly deserted. Only a few cars were on the lot and the second floor was the only one that had any lights on. She grasped Ian's hand firmly and walked in the revolving doors, her stomach full of butterflies. Just as they were walking in, a man in a slightly dirty lab coat nearly walked into them. As soon as he saw the couple. it seemed reality dawned on him. In a slightly raspy voice, he made his inquiry.
"May I help you?" His soft blue eyes were kind and sincere as he looked on at the couple. Kenna nodded, but as words were failing her at the moment, she simply put on hand on her stomach, the universal gesture of one who is pregnant. The man looked very sympathetic with her and smiled. "You need help, don't you? No insurance, I presume? No means of payment? You both look like you could use a checkup. Why don't you come to my office, we'll see what we can do for you."
Kenna smiled brightly and whispered, "Thank You," as she and Ian and the doctor all walked together to a room, one which Kenna had never in her life seen.

Ian was glad that they had found help so early in the morning. He followed Keena and the doctor into the small room.

[*pops head in, looks around* ..hm...i guess i'll post maybe lol o_O -_-;; ]
Kasey woke up and, after some looking around, found that both Ian and Kenna were gone. They've been together for a while...they're probably out on a walk...or something... she reasoned, though wondered why they hadn't left a not or anything of that sort. She shrugged and sat down to read the paper, as she did every morning.

When Kenna arrived in the small room, the doctor handed her a paper thin gown and asked her to go into the small dingy bathroom and change into it. When she came back out, he had the examining table ready for her with a sheet for her to throw over herself as he examined her. He wheeled a big bulky machine into the room and though Kenna had never seen one before in her life, she had heard of them. An Ultrasound machine. She would get to see and hear she and Ian's baby today. The thought brought tears to her eyes. She reached over and grabbed Ian's hand and held it tight as the doctor put a cold blue gel on her slightly pouching tummy and used the plastic thing that for some reason reminded Kenna of a wand. She could hear a crackling sort of noise at first and then a fast thrumming sound which she could only guess was the baby's heartbeat. She sighed as she listened and let out her tears of joy as the doctor turned the monitor toward she and Ian so that they could see their baby, though at the moment it was shaped more like a tiny potato and had no real distinguishable arms or legs. She broke her gaze away from the monitor to look at Ian and see his reaction.
