Elnara walked on the other side of Lore, wanting not only to keep a wary eye on her grandmother, but also to be near her husband for comfort so that she would not feel lost among her own family.

This time when Atalya spoke, it was with true warmth and happiness.

"Everyone here is doing very well," she told Lore cheerfully. "Ruel and Luthien of course would be happy to see some grandchildren of their own, but there seems little chance of that happening in the near future. Earendil still refuses to do anything but wait for Lin to grow up so that they can travel, and Tinuviel ... does not want to be forced into something. I can't say as I blame her ... but for her station she should be married already."

She smiled softly. "Mikhail is traveling between the cities as an ambassador, keeping the communications open and returning once a year here to report on what is happening elsewhere. Shea is working on the development of Namonuito - the city is growing quickly, and his work is greatly appreciated."

Lore chuckled at that, he really couldn't blame Tinuviel though he could see that there would be some nervousness if she didn't get married. Though... he wasn't one to talk, after all Tinuviel wasn't even a century old yet, and he.. well he married very very very late in life.

"That is wonderful to hear, though I do feel a bit sorry for Tinuviel... and Earendil if they're both being bothered to get married."

"They are," Atalya laughed softly. "Though I think Tinuviel's receiving the worst of it. Earendil, as prince, has no duty to marry ... unlike Tinuviel. Still, they are dealing with it as best they can - Earendil by running off to his training every day, and Tinuviel by immersing herself in her studies, though I'm afraid she has no shortage of visitors hoping for her particular attentions."

"Well at least no one can claim she's not trying... sort of," Lore paused to think about it.

Of course Tinuviel could just be not giving her visitors much thought, but still, as long as she meets them, no one could claim she wasn't trying.

"She must be annoyed by now."

"Annoyed does not even begin to cover it," the queen said with a vague smile. "Let me just say ... it would be wise not to bring up the subject in her presence, because she can get downright unpleasant when she feels she's being pressured."

And just at that same moment, Reave was arriving at the Dining Hall with Hana in his arms.

"Look who's here!" he beamed proudly, holding her up to show the others as he moved to take his seat near the head of the table. He spotted Lin and nodded another greeting at her. Sure, he had seen her not very long ago, but that didn't mean he couldn't say hello again, did it?

"I believe it," Elnara smiled weakly. "I was only here a little over a month, and I remember being frustrated already by the talk of having suitors come to visit for me. Even the talk about me and Aranhil ... he's a very nice man, and I am fond of him, but Lore is the only one I could ever love."

She watched Lore walking with Garrick, her eyes shining brightly.

Lin waved, since her mouth was full at the moment. She swallowed what she had eaten and grinned, it looked to her someone enjoyed having the twins here very much.

Now the only question was, she thought to herself as she looked around, where was Lore and Elnara? Or Atalya for that matter?

Lore looked at Elnara with an equal smile on his face, before replying to the queen's comment about her greatgranddaughter, "I'll keep that in mind, though I'm not one to talk about getting married. I married late in life, but I guess I was waiting."

He chuckled a bit as he put his attention back on Garrick.

Elnara couldn't help but giggle at Lore's comment.

"You weren't waiting," she teased him, "you were married to your work. How you ever got away from it to even have the time to find me at the cafe, I'll never know."

Garrick didn't seem very interested in walking forward anymore, he seemed to want to walk in just about every direction except forward, as a matter of fact.

"Deh!" he exclaimed, trying to veer off towards a doorway.

Atalya laughed. "It appears that we will have yet another explorer in the family," she said lightly, watching Garrick in amusement. "So much like the rest of the family ..."

She couldn't help but wonder if that meant that Hana was like Lore ... quiet and reserved. Not that she knew as much about Lore as she did about the rest of the family, but still, Garrick did seem to take more after his mother thus far.

"Oh, is that Hana?" Luthien asked eagerly, rising from her seat to get a closer look at the infant. "She's adorable! She looks so much like Lore ..."

Reave chuckled and passed Hana on to her aunt. "Just wait until you see Garrick," he winked. "The two of them are really something ..."

He caught Lin's glance around the room and smiled at her reassuringly. "Don't worry, the others are coming along behind me," he assured her. "Garrick seemed to want to walk, though, so it may take them a few extra minutes."

Earendil's eyes lit up. "They're at that age already?"

Reave chuckled. "Well, he's walking with Lore holding his hands," he amended. "Not quite old enough to walk on his own. Though from the sounds of it, Hana's a bit behind her brother."

Luthien tickled Hana under the chin. "But that's all right, isn't it?" she cooed at her. "Because you'll catch up sometime soon, and I'm sure that you'll be just as good as him in the end!"

She should have seen that one coming... Garrick did seem to be the more active of the two, from the few times she actually saw the twins. Lin giggled a bit watching Luthien.

"Sounds like Garrick, he always seems to be on the go."

Lore laughed a bit and gently rein Garrick back on track, "You can go through a door, but not that one, we're almost there."

He looked up at Elnara briefly and grinned a bit.

"Well, this is what happens when I'm dragged out of my office."

Elnara giggled. "Well, I'm glad we've been getting you away from your office more often now," she grinned back at Lore. "It's nice to have you all to myself every evening."

She laughed as Garrick over-corrected his direction and tried to go for another doorway on the other side of the hall. "Or nearly."

Reave chuckled at Lin. "Yes, it did seem that way," he agreed. "Wanted to walk right past us rather than just be satisfied with walking to us ... I can't help but fear for if he's ever let loose in the castle on his own, where he might end up, and if he would ever be found again."

Luthien giggled and looked over at her son. "Like Earendil," she teased him. "He was alwaos off somewhere, we never knew where ... but he was always here for dinner, exactly at the right time, so eventually we realized that we never had to worry."

Earendil flushed slightly in embarrassment. "Nana," he murmured, "there's no need to bring that up."
