"It- I mean I don't care." John looked around out of his side vision to see who all was around. All he could see were white coats of doctors a baby blue color of patients gowns and the nurses brightly colored scrubs.

She shrugged, beginning to eat. "Okay," she took a bite of her burger.

John relaxed his face and looked down to his food. He picked up his hamburger also and started to eat. Staying silent for the most part he sat there and looked around as he ate, not really sure why but he didn't know what to talk about, so looking around was the next best thing.

Beth felt a bit awkward in the silence, then began to eat a bit more.

"So... Beth. Your hair totally makes you look fat." he said jokinly with her,"But then... ya know your face totally distracts me from that." John finished his hamburger and crumpled up his trash into a little ball.

She stuck her tongue out at him, then looked into the window. Was the 'face' comment supposed to be nice or a joke? She finished eating, putting all her trash in the bag it came in.

John laughed he took the bag and got up from the booth and threw it away. He walked back to the table and stood next to the side of the booth Beth was sitting at,"Not even a thank you for the compliment?" he jested with her. John put his hands in his pockets,"So... you wanted to get outta here? did you?" he asked.

She smiled at him, "Yep! Let's go," she threaded her arm though his and began to walk towards the exit.

"ok then." he said agreeingly and followed alongside her out of the hospital,"Where do you wanna go?" he asked.

dragonhealer Lilly looked away, "I don't know, we never talked about stuff like this, because nothing bad happened when he was with me." She itched her arm just below were the needle was logged in her wrist. it was really frustrating, and she did not like it. "Can I go see Jake?" She asked, wanting to make sure her brother was alright. That had been the reason she wanted to get back to the hospital in the first place, but she was never given the chance. "How long until you take out the IV?" She asked. So many questions and so few answers. She bit her lip, and shivered, a chill running down her spine. "I'm afraid getting out of bed isn't such a good idea. The glass didn't go very deep into your side, but you're so skinny, it's a miracle nothing major was hit. If you move too much, you could tear your muscles, or worse." The news was grim, and Lauri didn't relish in telling it. "As for the IV," She continued "That can come out as soon your body isn't crashing from lack of vitimins. Can. No promises." She smiled fleetingly. "You can have visitors now, though, since you're awake. I told your boyfriend that he couldn't come up, but he seems to have gotten in anyways." She chuckeled and waved her hand as if to say Ahhh, love and youth.

Lilly nodded. "Then I have some very important calls to make." She said and reached over to pick up the phone on the bedside table. She dialed Beth's number quickly and held the receiver up to her ear. It rang, and she waited impatiently for her best friend to pick up the phone. Her thin bony fingers clasp tightly to the Bashish-peach colored plastic and she closed her eyes, readjusting to the sudden influx of energy.

John walked with Beth, taking somewhat bigger and a little slower steps than her, waiting for her to answer on where to go. It didn't really matter at the moment. He just wanted Lilly to not be mad at him for the most part.

"I d'know, I should Lilly firs-" her phone rang, so she picked up after checking caller ID. "Lilly?"

Lilly smiled when she heard Beth's voice. "Beth? It's Lilly, Guess what?" Her voice was only a tad scratchy, and that was about it, otherwise she sounded completely normal. “I got in a bus accident, I’m stuck in the hospital, and they won’t let me get up.” She gave an exasperated sigh and rolled her eyes. “Can you do me a little favor please?” She needed a hairbrush and personal items if she was going to have to stay in bed as long as the nurse had hinted.
