souloblivater Its realy just that they lyrics are talking about suicide and thing like that and they think it going to make us commet suicide. and thats only some parents I do not recall anything suicidal in any of the songs...I think the only "bad material" in any of their songs is the fact that they are defiant and tend to mention or indicate depression and pain from time to time. What drives my mom away is the beat and the way they sing---I often keep it at a volume that allows those to come forth more than the actual lyrics.

berserkboi80 I'm bored so i will make this so you guys can talk about how your parents or anyone keeps trying to stop you from listening to LP. I find nothing wrong with LP cuz they dont swear and all that crap but parents still hate it. Luckily, my parents dont do this but my friends parents do. Its sad 3nodding . When my ma complains about my music I tell her at least I am not pregant/ doing drugs, then she leaves me alone. Now she has grown not to care what I listen to as long as she does not have to hear it.

My mom and dad used to like the songs that came on the radio, like Numb and In the End, but that was before I started listening to them. Now they can't stand it stare

Me: ('pushing me away' blasting in the background)
Mum: ERIN! Turn that screaming off!!!
Me: It's not screaming - its music
Mum: Oh really?
Me: Yes, really mum. Can't you hear it? It sounds like an angel!
My sister: (some song with m****f*****r mentioned in it 50 times blaring in the background)
Mum: Oh my god! I LOVE that song your sister is playing! Don't you?
Me: (gives mum the evil eye)
But my dad likes linkin park, so thats good! lol!! blaugh

My mom really doesn't care. Sometimes she listens to it herself...but just like most of us should...I get uncomfortable when she tries to sing along xd Anyways, my friends mom took her CD, broke it scream nd stepped on the remains. It was one of the grimmest things i have ever seen...ever... damn evil woman

stare my mom likes it...but my dads a preacher..so he doesnt like them one bit. I tick him off by turning LP up really loud as soon as he walks in the door. wink
