I mean I'm still without shikai and a lot of stuff. Right now I'm still using the basics with skill, though over time I would get better just as you have.

Well Daven, my apologies if the reason for that post was our rant here, about your shikai and bankai, I am fine with it, the kitsune part I didn´t consider when I said what I said, but the tornado I still think it´s kinda overpower, but since it was RPed so you´d learn it, I am ok with it.

As you said yourself, there are people here with overpowered shikais and bankais, and I used your fight with Tagg, the only fight I saw of anyone that have been here for long, to try to show as an example, so I am sorry.

Daven you have allowed me to put my foot in my mouth and i do have to agree alot of the shikai are overpowered and would be considered higher bankai in other bleach guilds. I do understand you should be the strongest one of us all quite easily, and i understand you earned each and every one of those powers, its just a little intimating. Now i will continue chewing on my foot enjoying the taste, Just one last thing to ask is that with all these overpowered bankais, your allowing new people as long as they have sound theories and exact capabilities and weaknesses down you'll allow anything within reason?

I've been roleplaying since 1980, yes, longer than many of you have been alive. If I can read in the description and see these things:

1 a base power or "theme", like ice, motion, light, darkness and so o n
2 a reasonable set of basic powers, about two for shikai
3 if I can see a way to defeat it or get around it
4 If I can see the player has put some effort into coming up with this power instead of just copying from another cannon character
5 If all the abilities, shikai and bankai, are consistant with the theme
6 if the avatar isn't a huge "WTF" moment for me

then I'm really likely to approve it.

I do allow redefinition of powers through roleplay, but once again it has to be reasonable and with the base theme of the character's existing power.

I made that point so you could see that I have a lot of imagination, I have played in every kind of game you can possibly imagine (meaning Monty Haul, Rules Lawyer, free form, diceless, and so on) and that I'm basing all this on actual experience instead of "me be most powerful beat you all up"...

Hell, the best times of my life had me with a dicebag and a AD&D rule book in hand.

I SECOND THIS!

Heh... I met my wife roleplaying. I found half my past girlfriends in roleplaying. I met my foster father through roleplaying. I used to roleplay when it could still send you to Hell, and the FBI followed us around because we were dangerous. I was under a suicide watch becasue a character died in the game once.

It taught me how to imagine, how to problem solve, how to cooperate, how to work in a team, how to do math in my head and how to prioritize.

I played AD&D, back when there wasn't a "first edition or second edition" and so on. Still have my books. Have nearly a full set of 1st edition, a lot of second edition, no third or 3.5. Too expensive for me.

Still have my original characters too.
