Aquila15 -wants to learn Swedish so much- whee It seems really hard though =/ You know, when I decided to learn Irish and then saw how different the spelling was from the pronunciation and what some phrases in Irish literally meant, I thought ''It will be impossible for me to learn this language, it's too hard!'' but I'm stubborn and I really want to learn the language so I thought ''So what? The English writing system is kinda weird, actually, and I can write and read English almost as good as I can write and read Swedish, I know I can make this! It couldn't be that hard''. And now, I know a lot more Irish then I did when I started. It's all about seeing it in a more positive way; if you think in a negative way, there's a bigger chance that you fail. 3nodding

Fast du pratar ju jättebra. biggrin Pratar du med finsk brytning? surprised Det är så fint! Jag älskar den dialekten. ^^ Min kompis försöker lära mig finska, men det är svårt. Fast det påminner om samiska, som jag kan lite av, så det hjälper lite. smile

Heh. I got involved in some 6-week language challenge back in April/May on another forum, involving finnish. Didn't get too far from lack of resources. Anyway, I studied German in HS, so Swedish is comint to me relatively easy (without any sort of training in the language, I could understand a failly decent amount of written text). Thussss, given the relative easiness of the language, similarity to German, the way most Finnish courses seem to be written in Swedish, and the fact that I just LIKE the language, I've been working through the FSI tapes for it. Fun stuff.
Seems sort of tricky to pronounce though.

Kusiainen Kan någon kanske berätta mig vad är det för dialektet som Ika talar? !Bra fråga. xd Jag har också alltid undrat det. Jag hittade inte ens någonting på Wikipedia om det. Kanske har hon bara hittat på en egen dialekt? surprised MeshGearFox> Finnish tricky to pronounce? I don't know Finnish at all, but isn't its pronounciation very logical? Like, almost phonetical... Or, if you meant Swedish is tricky to pronounce... then I completely agree rolleyes
