spanishnerd99 Oh my god you lucky ducky! xp Oceans/seas are the best places on EARTH! heart heart heart heart heart Is the Mediteranean pretty? What's it like...calm, choppy, cold, clear....? Dude I gotta go to Italy... cool
mmh, in castiglione is clear, blue-green water (instead in sardinia is crystal clear), very clean and quite "salty" - there aren't high waves as in the ocean, but if the wind blows and it gets angry it's very dangerous, there are pretty strong "correnti"... I love it when it's not too crowded, when I'm fed up with turists I go to swim at 5 p.m. in july-august and in late april and september; for this they call me "the german/swedish woman" because I can bear cold water xd
and you should take a walk on the seaside at twilight/sunset, it's wonderful 4laugh

in castiglione there's life from june to september and for easter holidays, after that it's a cemetery xp no cultural activities or similar, au contraire in bologna there is life in "winter" and almost nobody in summer, inhabitants go to balnear cities and centers - above all to the "east coast", the sea sucks,it's more a poll( xp ),but there are pubs,discos,organized games on the beach, things like that; the "west coast" is more "naturalistic"

Firewolfblue Yep, not so far from here there is a "park" called Parco dell'Uccellina, it's a protected area with pines' forests, marshes, beaches...and a lot of varieties of birds and animals (and insects!) Here, a photo biggrin
today I had my first taste of sea: coming back home from bologna I stopped by my mom's grocery, then I made a walk on the seaside to go home, barefoot, with my feet in the water...... 4laugh 4laugh and then I cut my big toe badly gonk oh well, I don't mind...it was wonderful anyway xd
