Akemi had listened to the girl's mindless babbling the whole time they walked from the village to the housing district. She had made sure to keep a good distance away from the older girl, just in case she felt like ditching out on the girl, and she even considered it, but once they had reached the housing area, the smell of dirt and lingering smoke kept her attention. There had been a fire after all... and by the looks of it, nothing really did survive. As Orika searched through the rubble, Akemi just stood off a bit and watched the girl dive in and out of dirt piles. She didn't say anything, or do anything for that matter, that is until she noticed the large frame of Hamma-Sensei come into the picture. With a slight smirk on her face, she called out to him, "Hamma-Sensei!" was all she said, just to make her attendance known to the man.

"Hey, there Akemi! Barely noticed you standing off to the side," Hamma said as he stopped waving his hammer for a second. "You want to take over demolishing or do you want to start clearing away some of this rubble?" Hamma asked the girl giving her a few choices. "There's some wheel barrels and shovels by the well over there. Some of the villagers helping out on the farm brought 'em down for us," Hamma told the girl as he nodded towards the shabby equipment they had to work with.

Sorri had still been ranting to himself about when he and Xeithx had arrived at the reconstruction site.Looking at the destruction it had been a far worse sight now that the sun gleamed down on this misfortune, but it wasn't to horrible, people were already beginning to show up and get to work, hell if they could keep up a constant flow it would be done before the end of the week. Maybe even before tomorrow night. Spotting or Orika he cupped his hands around his mouth "Yo yo Ori!!" Sorri shouted to give her a quick hello before he addressed the construction building leader.
"Hello Hanma-san, me and this new kid here was wondering if you coud use some help, hr's my little cousin Xeithx"

"Ho, ho! You're in luck, Sorri. We've just started deconstruction. Go on and pick up a hammer or grab a shovel and wheel barrel," Hamma told the boy as he pointed to the equipment. "We need to get the entire area cleared in order to build the new apartments. Might want to wear a pair of gloves so your hands don't blister," Hamma suggested to Sorri and everyone else who was listening.

Yuki knew she had been late to start the deconstruction with Hamma at the burnt down apartments. Instead of taking the leisure route through the streets, she ran quickly across the rooftops to the construction site. Landing nimbly on the ground, Yuki waved over to Hamma. "Hamma, sugar, I'm here. Sorry for being late. Let's go over those plans now," Yuki said as she beckoned Hamma over to look over the blue prints for his new building idea. "Good morning, Orika. Akemi. I'm glad you came to help out," Yuki said with a bit of sweetness before her and Hamma began discussing the plans.

[Entrance from Tenmoki Household]
Akiko sprinted in, hot on her aunt's trail. It was clear that her smaller stride had let her fall further behind and that she had expended a good bit of energy trying to keep up. Arriving at the housing district, she put her hands on her knees and breathed deeply. Once she caught her breath, she pulled herself up and looked about. It was a real wreck... it must have been a large-scale fire. She looked about for Hamma, who she had met earlier and knew was in charge of the renovations. "I'm here!" she cried. "How can I help?"

"It has?" Orika asked, her rustic eyes growing larger. That sounds contrary to everything she'd ever heard. "Well, I guess there is that old saying too. What was it? The strongest general in the world will always lose fighting against 100 beggars. That saying's not all that valid, but I guess I see what you're saying, Hamma-sensei. How about being really strong so my team'll be really strong too? Yeah!" Orika giggled, flexing her bare arms so that the powerful muscles bulged. They weren't anywhere near Maya's, but they would be soon enough! Or perhaps even like the giant Hamma's! "Don't let that sore back stop you from training, sensei," Orika chirped, "Cause I ain't slowing down anytime soon!" She did a few practise swings with the hammer, absorbing what the giant just told her. Don't use her back too much... gotcha. Wait. Every time she swung that thing, her back muscles groaned. She was obviously doing something wrong, but what?
With a shrug, Orika decided to try the practical approach. She would swing the hammer as hard as she could and then decide which part of her back hurt the most. That would be one step towards figuring out how she could improve her heavy weaponry skills. The girl watched Hamma smash entire walls at a time, but his and her techniques didn't seem all that different. Oh, well. How much damage could one bad swing go? She'd been doing alright so far. The girl readied herself, hoisting the hammer up high and swung out with all the might she could muster. A jolt of pain shot up her back like a bolt of electricity. "Yaow!" Orika yelped, dropping the large hammer to nurse her hind side. She had swung on her right side, yet the pain shot through her left side. Well, the girl didn't really care to think about why as she dropped to her knees, wincing. The adrenaline must have gone away and all she was left with was the result of her toils. Owie...!

"What the hell?!" Shinichi gasped when he ran into the apartment district, expecting to find his home and a shower waiting. Well, actually, it seemed those two things were still present since the fire hadn't spread to the adults' housing, but that wasn't the point right now. Instead of finding a peaceful, cheerful housing district still intact, what remained was the completely destroyed genin house. Judging from the way some embers still smoked, the fire couldn't have been that long ago. He sniffed the air, but nothing told of anybody burning in a fiery death. That was good, at least. A very confused Shinichi noticed Hamma and Yuki chatting and walked over, his eyes already doing all the talking. "I was in the forests all night with Xyn," Shinichi explained, then quickly transitioning to the important question, "Looks like you have everything under control. What do you need me to do?"

Orika whimpered and waited until she could move again. It was like all of a sudden, her strength left her entirely. She dropped the hammer and collapsed on the ground, her eyes closed like she was about to take a nap. Well, she would have if not for having laid on the very part of her back that stung so bad! Orika flopped to her stomach and glared at the ground, rubbing the sore spot. "Why are you always right, Hamma-sensei?" she muttered. Maybe Karite would show up later and that would make her misery better. The girl smiled like a dope and pushed herself to her elbows.
When she'd been blinded by the pain and exhaustion, several more people had come in to help. "Sorri! How's it going, man? Ooh, where'd you get that boo boo on your head? Genin training that tough, eh?" She said the last sentence not in worry, but rather out of great anticipation. Once she learned all her academy techniques, the girl would endure that arduous training like cake! Even with Maya being her squad leader and all. Actually... now that she thought about it, Orika gulped. Hanabira had left their squad for reasons she had not yet figured out. Maybe Maya was too tough on the three. Hana had a really frail body, after all. If Hana showed up, Orika would be sure to ask her why she left the team. Was it because she and Karite were too close and she felt left out? They'd tried to do their best to accommodate her. It was always hard to tell what Hana-chan was thinking. She was glad she wasn't like that.
"Hey, Xeith! I'm Orika. I'm in the academy too. Well, sort of," said Orika, "Let's just say it won't be long before I graduate, but I'll still see you around." She waved with all her fingers and grinned. Her back was feeling much better now. Orika slowly got to her feet and stretched until she felt something crack. Yay! She wanted to ask Hamma more about what she had done wrong, but he was busy with Yuki and Shinichi. Oh, well. She was smart enough. Orika grabbed the hammer and stalked over to a corner. The best way to handle this would be to come in from either side because if she tried smashing it down from the middle, there would be too much resistance. Here goes nothing! Orika swung the mighty hammer as mightily as she could mightly might muster... and missed the wall altogether, the hammer swinging out of her hands while her body twisted weirdly. Needless to say, she was in for more pain.

By this point, Orika would have given up and gone to take a nap, if other people hadn't been depending on her. She grumbled as she took the long walk to retrieve her hammer. The girl breathed a sigh of relief. At least nobody had gotten hurt when she lost control of that thing. As Orika returned to her place, she delved into why she wasn't having any success recently. There was something on the top of her tongue, something that Hamma told her during training, but that she had forgotten since. And there was always that question: How could she swing the hammer without using her back too much? Something had to swing and sway and logically, that would be her back. Orika glanced down her her body, wriggling her bare toes. The callouses were like leather and had prevented her from feeling too much pain when she clamored over the dangerous rubble to look for people's belongings. She bent down to wipe a little dirt from her feet and the answer struck her. The hips! Fueled with a surge of energy, the girl laughed as she ran back to the burned apartment complex. "Hey, slowpokes!" Orika yelled, "Check out how to really use a hammer!" She pulled the sledgehammer back, by this point well acquainted with its weight and balance. She couldn't wait to have a huge hammer of her own! "Hiyaa!" the girl yelled as she swung her hips and smashed through the rubble, kicking up a cloud of sweet, sweet smelling dust. By herself, she had demolished an entire outer wall of the apartment!

With a small sigh, Akemi just nodded her head as Hamma-Sensei gave her the choices. Neither seemed rather appealing to her... she wasn't a helping type of person, but she had nothing better to do. "Sure Sensei..." she mumbled, nodding a small hello to Yuki as she greeted her. She made her way over to the well, and noticed the not so amazing equipment that the group had to work with. With a small grunt, the girl picked up a shovel and tossed it into one of the wheel barrels. She took a moment to look around and saw that Orika had done a rather fine job of smashing up some of the rubble, so that is where she decided to start. She wheeled herself over to the destruction and gave a little smirk towards the other girl, "Looks like you had some fun..." she mumbled as she picked up her shovel and began her work. Shoving the instrument into the pile of garbage was the easy part, but lifting it and dumping both the soot and rubble into the wheel barrel she found a little harder, but nothing she couldn't handle.

Strangely enough, Akemi was getting a little... would you call it thrill? from this work. It was rather easier then she had thought is was going to be. So she kept going, no break as she went back and forth from digging the shovel into Orika's rubble, back to dump it in the wheel barrel. While she was working, she noticed rather large group of people had showed up to help out. Two were younger, possibly students? And the other was an older, tired looking man with dark red hair. She was curious who this man was, because she hadn't met a lot of the older people on this island, mainly younger ones, most being students. She only recognized one other student that she had worked with the other day, and then began to wonder where the other students she had met had gone... With another dig of her shovel, she began getting a little annoyed with the constant disappearance of people. It was annoying even trying to get to know people, she was annoyed with herself for have even tried. She knew better... and with a shake of her head, she dug in hard to the rubble and shoveled it into her wheel barrel.

Nadeshiko skipped delicately over a large chunk of what appeared to be wood, but what once may have been a piece of a building. She didn't know. She looked at the demolished housing district, and wondered what destructive force had hit it. Nadeshiko thought that maybe she could ask someone when she had the time too.
She went a little farther in to the housing district, and saw that there were already a number of people at work, busy reconstructing the apartments. Or, rather, cleaning things up so that it didn't get in the way of those that actually were reconstructing the apartments. Either way, it had to do with rebuilding. Nadeshiko wondered what Yuki could possibly think of for her to do when it came to heavy lifting. No, she was getting distracted. She was supposed to look for the swordwmith. She looked at the figures around her, trying to locate him.

One swing here and another swing there. The mighty blacksmith knocked down an entire area of the foundation with two swings of his own specially used crafted hammer. It was like a small cannon hit the standing debris when Hamma struck. Twirling the hammer in his hand like it was no heavier than a pocket knife, the middle aged man turned towards the approaching Anbu of Shima. Yuki had finally arrived and brought a tiny bit of help too in the form of Akiko. “No need to apologize. Ye be here at the right time.” As he looked towards Yuki his eyes also came across the Kage as he approached. Once the red haired man came, the blacksmith then issued what he would need. “I figure them lads and lasses could get to work on the manual work while we plan out the construction of the building. I think’n we should combine the student dormitory with the higher shinobi apartments just so this won’t likely happen again. A superior ninja could put it out next time before it spreads. Excuse for a second so I can get these little lasses and lad working. Why don’t you two begin looking over the plans in the mean time.” The gentle giant stated to Yuki and Shinichi.
His eyesight then turned to the smallest of the Tenmoki and a new students. A young girl as pretty as (but hopefully not as fragile) as a little doll. The other was a white haired and slightly dark skinned child. The common signs of an Ibazi clansman. “Hey you two come over here!” the man yelled out softly, but probably sounded like a small boom of thunder to the other students. “You three get a pair of working gloves and sandals on. It be a long day today. Take a hammer and start breaking down those beams or get a wheel barrel and clear away the debris.” the man gave his command to the new comers.
His face then turned to Orika and the blonde Raiken. The Raiken girl was quietly at work which was good. Orika had already torn down a wall on her own. The man had to smile. She would pick up the craft of a blacksmith easily if that is where her future desired. “You can put down the hammer lass. Your peers should be able to finish up soon. I want you to start mixin’ the concrete. We’re going to need a strong base for the new building.”

As more people started to show up, and as Hamma-Sensei started getting them to work, Akemi became more silent and concentrated more on the work at hand. It wasn't that she wanted to do this work... why should she even be here, helping people that haven't done a thing for her... With a small shrug, she just dismissed the thought, but shrugging and trying to lift a shovel at the same time wasn't a wise idea... As she tried to life the shovel, she felt a stretching in her shoulder and had to drop the load back to the ground. The stretch wasn't one that helped your muscle feel good... but one that make you want to yelp out, but the girl just bit her lip and kept quiet.

Akiko glanced around. Everyone was hard at work trying to disassemble the old ruins. Akiko hadn’t ever needed to come here, so she never got to see what the old building looked like. So, she did her best to try to recreate in her mind what it could have been before the fire. There was still a lot of rubble lying around, so it was quite difficult to visually reconstruct it. The materials were unique enough, but how high must it have been? It had to house at least a few dozen students or so, but there was too much debris here to have been just a small little complex. She knew that the village didn’t want to be too showy—theirs was a village of shinobi—but perhaps the original builders had high ambitions. She’d have to ask Hamma later how many people they were planning on putting in these new buildings once she lent her hand to the construction efforts. A sudden, loud sound behind her caught Akiko’s attention, shaking her back to reality. She couldn’t find the source of the sound, but she suddenly remembered the task at hand. She slipped into her safety gear and sluggishly gathered her supplies together. She stared down at the wheelbarrow and let out a weary breath as she started to work. She tried to pry some blocks of stone and broken wooden beams loose with her bare hands. However, she soon recognized the futility of her efforts. She then withdrew her kunai and attempted to use that to give herself some leverage. The stone still wasn’t moving, so she wedged the kunai underneath it and carefully pressed down on the handle with her foot. Luckily enough, it dislodged easily enough, and the kunai remained trapped beneath her foot. She placed the stone into her wheelbarrow and carried on.
