Tanu felt her arms getting a little more free and then without expecting it she felt a tap on the head. "Mmph!" she grunted as Shin scolded her for wiggling free. "Its not cheating!" the girl yelled back at him, clearly upset that she had been accused of such! That Yamanaka had never said anything about not trying to loosen yourself up to help you control your chakra! Tanu was fuming now from Shin's little comment, but tried to keep her mind focus on moving her chakra. Feeling the despise of being called something really got her chakra pumping and Tanu was able to move it to where she needed and concentrate it to its fullest. As she finished, she heard Shin talking to the Yamanaka. The Kun Kumo girl really didn't want to listen to their chit chat, so she interrupted as quickly as she could. "I'm ready for the next step!" she said in a very demanding tone to the girl with the notebook. Tanu didn't want to waste any time and didn't want to be tied up next to the Nara Clown a minute longer than she had too!

Being truly afraid that she would have to explain the first exercise, Hanabira was more than happy when she heard Tanu talking about chakra control. Giving the Kun Kumo a breif and light smile, Hanabira turned back to her notebook to continue her own notes. Next to the good personality traits Hanabira added 'energy.' The girl herself had plenty of energy to spend, but she didn't like to shout out answers or skip down the street. The way Tanu had just blurted out a past experience that would help with their training was a positive way in using that energy. As she wrote her thoughts down about energy, she heard Shin call out to her. "Uhm," Hanabira started, not really wanting to answer his question, but hugging her book to her chest as if he were trying to peek. The fragile girl was more than happy when Tanu blurted out that she was ready for the next step. "R-right," Hanabira said a little shakingly still rather nervous to express her idea to anyone quite yet.

Flipping through her pages back to the Nawanuke technique, Hanabira read the next steps, "Use your chakra to bend different ways. Be careful or you may injure yourself in the process." After reading that to the two sitting in front of her, she knew they might night really understand that part. "Your chakra can help transform your body and let you bend it in different ways. It loosens up your muscles so you're more flexible," Hanabira explained to them, hoping they would understand.

Excited to hear what Hanabira was working on, Shin was saddened when Hanabira was interrupted by Tanu asking for the next step. The dusty haired boy figured that Hanabira really didn't want to tell him anyways seeing how she reacted to his question. She had hugged that notebook pretty close to her chest. Maybe it was something private? As Hanabira read the next step, Shin lost his breath for a moment. He didn't understand what that meant at all. "Use your chakra to bend in different ways?" he asked, clearly confused about the instructions. He was happy that Hanabira continued and explained it a little better for them. As she did, Shin could breathe once again. "Alright!" he said with excitement. The way Hana had put it, the task sounded rather easy! With his new found confidence, Shin began moving that chakra he had mustered up around in his body. Then the boy drew a blank. How was he suppose to apply his chakra to loosen up his muscles? Does it just happen naturally? Furrowing his brows in concentration, Shin tried to figure this out quickly, but he was having a little trouble understanding what to do. "You make it sound easier than it is, Hana-chan!" Shin said a little jokingly, even though he was struggling immensely.

Tanu truly wasn't paying attention as Hanabira explained the next step. Her strange working mind was too busy thinking about Shin getting down before her. Cutting her chin over her shoulder and turning her eyes as far as they would go, Tanu could catch a glimpse of Shin's shoulder and by tilting her head upwards, his face. Studying him for a moment, she thought about this training. It seemed that physical strength really wasn't a win factor here in the shinobi world. Once Shin spoke asking Hanabira to explain further, Tanu came back and listened to the Yamanka explain the next step. They way she explained it seemed clear enough. The mechanics were perfectly spelled out for the two to follow. "This will be easy," Tanu said outloud. She already had her chakra concentrated to the spots she needed to be and flex to escape the ropes. With the chakra pooling around those areas, Tanu began to move her arms. "Grrf," she growled unable to really move out of the binds. She was moving quite a bit and nearly lost her balance since she was standing back to back with Shin. "Uggh! You're so tall, this makes it awkward!" Tanu growled in frustration. "Sit down with me," she ordered him while trying to pull him down to the ground with her weight.

The confidence in Tanu's voice seemed to hit Shin just a bit and make him try harder. His chakra flowed powerfully in his limbs, especially his arms since that was where he was concentrating it. The warmth of his back was now heating up even more against Tanu as they both conjured up the energy within their bodies. Shin was about to start sweating heavily if they kept rubbing their backs up against one another non-stop like this. He heard a growl come from the green haired girl's throat and couldn't help but smile. That confidence she had a moment go was already fading away into frustration. Shin was sometimes amazed by how quickly Tanu skipped around with her emotions. "I can't help it," Shin said teasingly, secreting finding it funny that the girl was so frustrated not only with the training but also with his height. The dusty haired boy nearly fell to the ground as Tanu began pulling him down and ordering him to sit. "Easy! Easy!" the boy yelled at her as he nearly lost his balance and almost went toppling over backwards onto Tanu. If he hadn't caught his balance, the little Kun Kumo would've been squished like a bug!

Once sitting on the ground, his legs folded in and ankles crossed over to be in a comfortable indian style position, Shin took a deep breath. "Calm down and focus," he told Tanu, knowing that he wouldn't be able to train this technique if she was constantly squirming, growling and barking at him because she was frustrated. "I'm on the same page as you and I don't quite understand how to apply this, but let's just calm down and try different ways to do this, ok? I think we need to release our chakra from its circulatory system, but keep it locked within our bodies still. When I used it for bunshin no jutsu I released it like a cloud, but this is different... and harder..." Shin mumbled to himself while coaching Tanu, but also trying to coach himself as well. Hopefully what he had just said would calm the girl down and make her think rather than squirm.

Not hearing any smart remarks from Tanu right away, Shin was able to clear his throat and let out a relaxed breath. He thought he had figured out the steps to applying his chakra in the way that Hanabira had told him too and now he just needed to apply it. With Tanu quiet, Shin closed his eyes and began envisioning what was going on in his body. Tenmoki had taught them about the circulatory system and the Kage had aided him in releasing chakra. There was just the complication of releasing chakra within his own body. When performing bunshin no jutsu, Shin had been exhibiting his chakra on large scales outside of his body. That was the easy part after willing his chakra out and to move. Shin shook his head and tried to get his thinking back on track about the task on hand. His chakra circulatory system was just like his normal circulatory system. Veins ran up and down his body pumping chakra to every part. Unlike normal veins though, this system had small holes in it. "Tenketsu..." Shin whispered as he imagined the small holes on the blue flowing chakra. All he needed to do was just leak chakra through those tenketsu to get his muscles to become more flexible.

The Nara envisioned it happening and felt the warmth of his body excel to higher temperatures as he concentrated hard in applying this theory to his muscles. As he did, he felt a sharp sting in his arm and winced. He had released too much. "I think I just damaged my muscle," Shin said with an amazed blank expression on his face.

Hanabira kept her olive eyes away from her notebook for a moment in order to watch Tanu and Shin practice the next part of their training. This was one of the parts many students had problems understanding, so Hanabira would offer as much help as she could. The freckled face girl gave Shin a small, yet hopeful smile. "Everything sounds easier in theory," she said softly back to him as she went back to her notes for a brief moment, while Tanu made a scene. The auburn haired girl was really amazed when Shin began coaching Tanu the ruffian on such a high level. Hanabira had to stop examining her notes once more just to listen to Shin. The girl really admired him for his intellect. He was nearing the end of his academy years, so he should be able to understand the step by step process of how the technique should work in theory and he was spot on.

Hanabira wrote down the admirable qualities in her notebook. She now had about four pages dedicated to her studying of personalities, the girl was slightly amazed at just how much she had written in these past two days. While flipping back, she heard Shin state that he just damaged his muscles. Hanabira smiled. "You released too much chakra through your tenketsu and damaged yourself," she explained, figuring that Shin had just figured out the next step to utilizing this technique. "Chakra is an overall damaging force. When you apply the chakra to your muscles, you're actually tearing them to make them more flexible," Hanabira explained to the two, hoping that her information would be valued.

While going down to the ground, Tanu heard Shin tell her to ease up on her pace, but she didn't want to. She wanted to sit down in a more stress free position where she'd be able to complete this technique! This step was confusing and difficult for Tanu to comprehend. She really didn't understand anything about it! As the rage boiled up inside her threatening to turn her face red with anger, Tanu heard Shin speak once again, telling her to calm down and focus. The Kun Kumo wanted to whip her head around and give him a glare, but they were back to back so she was unable to. Instead she was forced to sit there and listen to what he had to say. He brought up something called the Circulatory system. Tanu had never heard of this before. Shin talked as if he knew it inside and out. Biting down on her lip, the rebellious girl realized that he must've learned that in the academy. Tanu wasn't one for reading books. The only time she had read a book was to learn about black powder with that Tomoko character. There wouldn't have been any other way for Tanu to know about this system. Brooding in her lack of knowledge, Tanu continued to try and push her chakra out and squirm around to get free. As she did this, Shin whispered something. "Tenketsu?" Tanu asked, thinking that he was speaking of a woman's name. Was Shin really deep in thought while trying to concentrate his chakra? Sitting still for a moment, Tanu took a deep breath. Shin had told her to calm down and focus. Constantly squirming and pumping chakra through her body wasn't going to get her anywhere. As she did, she felt Shin wince and then the Yamanaka explain. With her glasses and notebook, Tanu thought of the girl as the smart type and she did not let the Kun Kumo's view down. Swallowing her pride, HARD, Tanu's voice squeaked as she asked, "What are Tenketsu?"

"Ah. That's true," Shin said as Hanabira pointed out the pro's and con's with chakra. This technique seemed a little advanced for academy students to learn, but it did teach them to think in a very complex way. "Tearing my muscles sounds pretty vicious," Shin said with a nervous smile as he thought of lean muscle being torn in order to flex and move. "I bet your muscles are really sore the next day after using this technique, huh?" Shin asked Hanabira, figuring that she had used the technique before. While waiting for Hanabira's reply, Shin took a moment to try and release the right amount of chakra into his muscles to help them tear and aid him to bend out of the rope. As he did, he heard a small squeak come from the little one against his back.

"Tenketsu?" Shin asked back, making sure he had heard right. "They're the little holes located throughout your circulatory system that leak out chakra. The easiest ones to use are the ones on your hands. The hardest ones are on your feet, I heard..." Shin said, knowing that he very well couldn't concentrate chakra on his feet, but he had heard from some other academy students who had heard from the genins that it was really tough training. Not wanting to think about training that was harder than this ahead of him, Shin returned to focus on his task at hand.

Tanu couldn't hold her tongue when she heard Shin make the comment about tearing muscles. "You tear your muscles everytime you stretch or work out," she snapped at him in a rather bitter tone. Tanu just couldn't believe he didn't know that, but then she realized just how rude she had been. She was the one asking about Tenketsu, which Hanabira and Shin both seemed to know about. "I mean... You tear them and they heal and then they heal back up. That's how you build muscle," Tanu told Shin as she removed her attitude and talked in a more civil tone. The Kun Kumo remained quiet as she listened to the Nara explain the tenketsu. There were holes in her veins!? That's seemed pretty scary to have blood leaking all around her body, but then she stopped herself and thought more clearly. Shin had mentioned the chakra circulatory system, which was probably a different one from the one that pumped blood through your body. "Ok," Tanu said, nodding in understanding and getting what the two had been talking about now. She was suppose to release the chakra through her body through those small holes. Tanu didn't even know where those small holes were or how she opened them. Remaining still and not trying to squirm free right away, Tanu thought about her body and releasing chakra. Shin had said early that it was easy to release it in a cloud outside your body, but they had to keep it within their body. "Aaarg," Tanu sighed heavily getting rather frustrated with going back and forth on the theory behind all this. She was tired of thinking! She just wanted to do it already!

"Ah-" Shin started dumbly, not sure what to say to Tanu's curt remark towards him about the muscles. He wasn't a pro body builder and didn't rely on his muscle that much, so he didn't know much about them! The boy stopped panicking when Tanu changed her tone and explained the process to the dusty haired boy. "Ah..." Shin said, realizing what was going on when he was stretching and running. As the information sunk into his mind, Shin turned back to the task at hand. "Now to get this taken care of," the boy said, shifting a bit where he sat to get a little more comfortable. There was a rock underneath his left butt cheek and it was rather uncomfortable, but there was nothing that he could really do since he was tied up. He heard Tanu growl out in frustration once again and just smiled. Before it bothered him because she was squirming too, but she remained still and just made noises every now and then.

Taking a deep breath in and letting it out, Shin went back to imagining his blue glowing system and the small holes on his chakra veins. He had released too much chakra the last time, but this time he'd have to let it out slowly and carefully. He was alright at chakra control, but he wasn't the greatest. For now, he would prepare himself to receive a little pain from the sting of chakra.

Tanu just couldn't take it anymore! The frustration of not understanding this training was really wrecking havoc on her pride and self esteem. As she heard Shin take in a soft breath and let it out slowly, Tanu calmed down for a moment and got back to thinking. She was tired of thinking though! As the Nara remained quiet, the Kun Kumo just couldn't sit still anymore. "Grrf," she growled wiggling her arms, while pumping her chakra to them. The girl was getting her adrenaline going and getting herself to move around. She bent her arms several ways to see if they were flexible yet, but to her disappointment, they were not. "I just want to get this already!" she yelled, her back rubbing up against Shin vigorously as she moved about trying to get free. As she bent and moved, her arm twisted into a very painful spot. "Ouch," she whined, her arm stuck in a wedge between herself and Shin. "Lean forward! Lean forward!" she yelled at Shin, hoping the boy would tilt his body foward to help Tanu remove her arm from its awkward position. Her elbow was twisted, her wrist was jammed and it was causing pain all the way up to her shoulder. It was an awkward position that Tanu shouldn't have tried to get into with really having applied her chakra correctly, but the girl was impatient and hot headed.

Shin's brown eyes lit up in excitement as he thought he got his technique. "Han-" he started, but was interrupted not by words, but by the rough movements of Tanu trying to break free. "What are you doing?" Shin asked her quickly as she felt the ropes tighten on his arms and chest with every pull she made. The chakra that he had flowing to his arms had fallen away quickly as he lost his concentration. A sliver of frustration set in with Shin as Tanu continued to pull and tug until she got herself stuck.

Now, if Shin was any other person that carried that little mean streak with them, the boy wouldn't have moved and would have done just the opposite. The thought of leaning backwards to crush Tanu's arm and cause her more pain DID cross his mind. "Haaaaa," he sighed heavily with a underlying tone of frustration as he leaned forward to let her free. "Stop trying to force it," Shin said a little firmly as he he kept his eyes closed and pressed his lips together. He almost had it! He almost had his chakra in the right spot with the right amount. All he needed to do was test the amount he had and viola! He would've been done with this training step!

"Don't groan at me! My arm was stuck against your big back!" Tanu shouted at Shin as he made his little sigh before leaning forward. She was not about to hear the Nara whine! The boy didn't say a thing and only leaned forward. Once again, Shin advised her not to force it and he said it with a rather stern tone. As Tanu freed her arm from pain, she just wished that Shin could see the look on her face. The Kun Kumo had given training with others a chance already. She felt like she was struggling more than being helped right now. Sure, they offered intellectual help, but they couldn't show her how to do this technique or even guide her through it hands on. All they did was talk! Talk! Talk! Talk! T-a-l-k! "UNTIE ME!" Tanu yelled with anger as she whipped her green head around to Hanabira. She would rather go back to her little room and learn this on her own instead of sitting here tied to the Nara who was only good for homework, but not for learning techniques. The girl would not sit still, she wouldn't work with her chakra one more bit while strapped down to this sweaty backed boy. Tanu pulled on the ropes, making it more than uncomfortable for Shin and perhaps giving him rug burn. If Hanabira didn't move her little butt over here fast, Tanu would be breaking free of the ropes with her pure strength.

Giving herself rope burns as she moved around viciously, the Kun Kumo was upset with how tight and difficult the Yamanaka had made these bonds. "This is stupid! I hate training with others! I hate this stupid island!" Tanu yelled and screamed as she continued to thrash about with as little movement as possible. As she did this, she expelled chakra was actually releasing it into her muscles, wanting to make them stronger, but then she noticed that they were becoming slightly flexible and moving more freely within the bonds. Shin had constantly been saying 'Calm down and focus'. He was always taking deep breaths and focusing as hard as he could. That wasn't the way that Tanu trained. The Kun Kumo spirit couldn't be tamed like that! The girl wanted to be back at home with her clansmen training and learning the katon techiniques of her clan, not these muscle flexing, chakra applying wussy techniques that this village taught to unskilled shinobi that got caught! "I want to be back with the Kun Kumo's! I want to learn techniques that aren't for losers that get captured! I want to go home!" the girl yelled as she finally toppled to her side, most likely bringing Shin down with her in her struggle. As her chin hit the ground, she felt her arm slide backwards and behind her without any pain. Her Kun Kumo eyes widened as the chakra flew out of their streams and into her muscles.
