`sawa `sawa hello! i am sawa, and the wonderfulicious Koiyuki invited me to this splendid guild <33 i have been taking Japanese at college for a year now, and have just begun my second year.. it is indeed very challenging, but at the same time, so rewarding when you get it whee it is my plan to either major or minor in Japanese, and i hope to one day make a career out of interpretation and/or translation 3nodding i am very excited about being part of this guild, because i hope it will grant me many wonderful opportunities to practice, thus getting better =D
thanks again Koiyuki! heart <3 i don't know how to say all of this in nihongo, but let's see what i can do..
こんにちは! 私はさわです。 こいゆきがこのすごいギルドに 招待した。 大学で日本語をとっていって、今二年生です。 とてもむずかしいけど、たのしいです。
ありがとうございます、こいゆき! <3どういたしまして, `sawa. And as a side note, shoutai is one of the words for 'invite'. The other is "Maneku" But I forgot how to make that into past tense. >.>;; Edit: it also appears that I've never posted in this thread. Oh well, no point now, as I'm not exactly fresh faced. >.>;;

Moshi Moshi!
I'm Maan, 18 sweatdrop (since today) and from the Netherlands. My interest in Japan started in Germany, where you can buy Mangaka (In Holland that wasn't possible back then, at least not affordable). It evolved further and further, and now I'm mainly very interested in the modern culture of Japan, Especially Harajuku. I've been to Japan once, and I plan on going there again next year. I have some people to visit there ^_______^ Sushi is good, but I miss the breakfasts and Noodle-soup much much more. (Yes i actually miss it sweatdrop )
My knowledge of the language is miserable, but I might be taking courses next year. Plus, most japanese speak english, and i'm interested in the people more then the language.
well.. Kinda longue.. But hello anyway (*_*')

Hello all, I am Cat, or as the screen name indicates, Harle, HQ or any other form of that you can come up with. I am relatively new to forums in general, so I may not reply to you in this for a really long time if you were to ask me a question. Feel free to Gaia-mail me though.

Hello everyone! I came here to learn more about the history, language, and culture of Japan! I started watching anime (english first) then i started listening to the japanese versions and i like some of them better. Well, that got me more interested in Japan. Soon i looked at the culture, history, etc. I started liking it all. Not only did i join for anime, but to learn a different culture and speak its language. By the way, everyone can just call me Regina.

Heyya, everyone! I'm Tenshi no Hana-chan, but you can call me Tenshi-chan. Yeah. I'm 15 (going on 16 on November 5), and I've been trying to learn Japanese since 6th grade. I kinda managed to master Hiragana by then. Now the words I know I just pick up from the anime I watch or the music I listen to. So I want to learn more.
(I wanted to enroll into a Japanese summer language camp, but it was either that or the violin lessons, which I am kinda dedicated to. So I have to depend on the anime I watch.)

Hi! My name is Izumi Ako-chan and I am eighteen (going on nineteen) years old. I have had an interest in Japan since the seventh grade, and have been studying Japanese since the eighth grade. I have come here to enhance my knowledge of Japan. From the language, to culture, to anime. You name it. Oh, and call me Ako-chan for short.

Hi, Im Kayla (but mt friends call me Aku..long story) and Im 19! I'll be majoring in Japanese and Spanish at college in the fall! >< Fun! I also spent two and a half years living in Okinawa, Japan! (Also totally fun!) I hope to learn and help people out when and where I can. Freakezette entivore An idea What if there was a thread that worked like this: Each day, someone would post a lesson, and each lesson would build on the last. Also, all but the most relevant posts after each lesson would be deleted at the same time to keep it 1 lesson per page. Plausible? I think that''s a good idea. It might need to be somewhat organized, like get 7 people together who feel they have a good knowledge of Japanese (beginners Japanese, at least) and assign a day to them, (or if we don''t have 7, assign 2 days to a couple people). Hmm, I''ll see whose interested in writing lessons I know Im new, but Ive got a pretty firm grasp on beginners Japanese, so I'd love to help if you needed it! biggrin
