Riyoku Sakimori
yes!!! I'll love you forever!
OK, here it is.
1. When coloring the skin, I color all shades and light on the same layer. The hair, skin and eyes get their own seperate layer. I like doing heads a lot.
2. I pick a direction from where the light is coming from, so I don't get confused and color a shade in the wrong area.
3. The tool I use to color with, is an airbrush. Make sure the opacity is at @ and the bleed is at 5.
4. You see the eyes? I colored the entire eye one color, then went over the top of the corona with a darker shade of the color. I then painted the center of the eye black, for the pupil. Then I got a small brush and colored the part of the eyes that is geared towards the light. In my case, it was his top right of his eyes.
5. The hair, that was difficult, and it still looks very slipshod. The part of the hair that is most toward the light, color it white, and gradually color it into another shade of the hair. However, for the characters with a hair color other than black, leave it was white.
And that's all you need.
