"Why is that cat talking to me?" The brown wolf snarled.
"Leave him alone you flea bag." Foxpelt snarled right back.
The pale brown male got up in Foxpelt's face and growled viciously. He didn't know why Foxpelt was trying to play big stuff against him. He then smelled something on Foxpelt's fur that made his eyes go wide and pull back.
Foxpelt was confused, however, didn't question the older wolf why he had backed up.

Shush, the cute wittle fluffy kitten is talking!
Ikuto laughs, "Are you a scaredy cat? Backing down? What's wrong? Do I have your tongue? I don't remember taking your tongue! Must be that you're just a big scaredy cat! Ha!" He rolls around in the wolf's fur laughing.
Okay, the cute wittle fluffy kitten is done talking.

"Get off me you little hairball." The brown wolf growled.
Lilly couldn't help but hear what was going on outside and for some reason the brown male's voice was familiar to her. She padded out of the den, even when Ikuto told her to stay put.
The male wolf that attacked Ren noticed Lilly and he walked over to her sniffing her fur. "Lilly? How? Where's your mother?" He asked.
Foxpelt backed up a few steps and tried taking everything in.
Lilly looked away from the male and tried not to cry.
Suddenly the male sat next to Lilly and nuzzled her. "Shh. I'm here now. I know your mother is gone, but I'll care for you now."
Foxpelt said. "I'm taking her back to be cared for by her sister." He wasn't about to let this strange male take Lilly, even if he did seem to know Lilly.
The wolf looked at Foxpelt and said, "Lilly doesn't have any siblings. Her mother had another litter, but they were killed by the FireClaws."
"Strongheart is alive and well for your information." Foxpelt told him.
"Strongheart....? You mean she wasn't killed with her brothers?" The wolf asked, trying to wrap his head around what he was being told.

Ren gets up. She heard what was said. She goes over to the wolf, "I'm sorry for Ikuto, he tends to over-react when someone that he doesn't know touches me. What's this about the FireClaw pack? You know them? What is the name of your pack?" She realizes she's asking too many questions at once and hasn't even introduced herself yet. She says, "Forgive me, I got a little too excited." She bows her head, "I am Ren, former mentor and current close friend of Strongheart and alpha of our pack. It is a pleasure to meet you.
Ikuto jumps on Ren and simply stares at the wolf. He says, "For the Wolf who's Strongheart's father, you're awfully mean. Pushing Ren down like that! Didn't your mother ever teach you manners?!"

"I knew the FireClaw pack for a short time. I actually saved Lilly and Strongheart's mother from them. They had already killed all of her pack. She was a bit younger than what Strongheart is. I'm not sure why they wanted to kill that pack, but I heard rumors.... Bad ones about them causing earthquakes or something. I never believed it because Strongheart's mother was never able to make anything more than rocks move." He replied. Then he looked at Ikuto saying, "I wasn't raised by my mother... I was taken away from her when I was a pup. It was said that I wasn't going to live and then the Humans got me. I wasn't with them long though."

Ren says, "Well, you are welcome to stay with us if you want. May I ask your name?"
Ikuto says, "No! He's not allowed to stay with us! He hurt you!"
Ren laughs, "He didn't hurt me. Besides, he's Strongheart's father."
Ikuto doesn't find this funny at all. He screams at Ren, "No! I saw him hurt you! I saw it! I saw it! I saw it!!"
Ren laughs again, "I think it's more your pride than the fact that you think I got hurt Ikuto."
"Fine! He can stay... But only for a few days!"
Ren giggles. She looks at Strongheart's father. She says, "As I was saying, what is your name? May I ask why you're here?"

Strongheart's father looked at Ren and replied, "I'm Sandfur. It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm so glad that my daughter is doing fine." He looked at Ikuto and then back to Ren adding, "I was in the area because I knew that Strongheart's mother was going to have pups again and she ran off. She left not long after finding out she was having pups. I was out on a long hunt and when I came back she had already left. I heard that came this way and was heading for the den she raised Strongheart in, but she must not have made it there before Lilly was born. I can't imagine why she didn't just go back, unless she didn't want Strongheart to see her. Also I will not stay if I'm not wanted in the pack. I mean, Strongheart may not be to happy with me coming with you to your den."

"It is a pleasure to meet you too." Ren laughs, "Nonsense, Ikuto's just a little bitter. If Strongheart will allow you to, you can stay as long as you want. But, I'm afraid there is some... Unappealing news..." She sighs, "The pup got away with her life, but... Her mother didn't... She was killed by a mountain lion that goes by the name of Rose. The lion came to my pack's den and told us that she was forced to do it by the FireClaw pack... I'm sorry."
Ikuto refrains from saying anything offensive. He bites his tongue and says, "Ow!" but nothing more.

Sandfur frowned at Ren's words about his mate. He looked up saying. "I hoped she would still be alive, but fate is sometimes very cruel. I'll come with you, but are you sure that cat will let me stay. I can sense he's very close to you somehow and I wouldn't want to anger him." Foxpelt was sitting, listening to everything and wondered what Sandfur would do to him after finding about Strongheart being his mate. He fidgited slightly, yet stopped trying to avoid being caught nervous. Lilly saw Foxpelt, but didn't think anything of his behaviour. She just snuggled against her father.

Ren says, "His name is Ikuto, and he hasn't a choice in the matter."
Ikuto laughs, "Try as I might, unless you do something to hurt her pack mates, she won't change her mind, even if you hurt her. That is unless her closest friends disagree..." He hears Foxpelt's thoughts and smirks. He says, "This is Foxpelt." He nods towards Foxpelt, "He is very close to Strongheart. Very close. Close enough to be her mate. As a matter of fact, he is her mate."
Ren sighs, "Stop trying to start trouble Ikuto. This is not a matter you can change."

Sandfur nods at Ren and then turns to Ikuto saying, "My deepest apologies for jumping on Ren like I did." Foxpelt looked at Ikuto and then Sandfur wide-eyed thinking he would be killed. He then flattened himself to the ground submissively. "As long as you take car eof her I won't hurt you, but if yo uhurt her in any way I'll rip your throat out no questions asked." Sandfur replied, his voice turning to a growl. 'I see where Strongheart gets her temper' Foxpelt thought, closing his eyes-
