Good news to Mylian and the graduates!
I am going to take a break from everything else and get started on this grad subforum for good.
It will be up by the end of term.
Mylian's idea ages ago is a great place to start.

IceeWitch So far, feedback for the guild chat seems very positive. I see no reason why we should prolong it. As soon as the other mods give a nay or yay, we'll buy it!

I have a good idea for a halloween event if anything isn;t currently planned....i will leave it here smile
Out of the dark a wicked spell falls upon the house ghosts, where the ghosts forget who they were and go into wrong houses, and our job will be that we have to solve riddles left around the guild that help us answer how this happened and place the ghosts to the proper houses, it will have to work as the previous event with teamwork where. the same person can't answer consecutive riddles, each riddle leads to the next clue, to solve the case.

It's the guild's 7 yr anniversary in December, sooo that's the next big thing we're going to try to plan.... what kind of things would make this anniversary ubber special??
As for FW the ghosts are already planning something I'm sure ninja

Oh good! Typical of those has-beings to keep us beings out of the loop. rolleyes But I'm glad something is in the works, it's been so quiet lately I was a bit worried...
As for the 7 year anniversary... (7 years?!?! WOW!) I can't think of any practical ideas.. like a game or something at the moment....
Dressing up is always fun, and I think there was a good response for it in Spirit Week.... Do we have like a ball? kinda like Gaia Prom?
It almost makes me wish we could track down old heads (pinkie, grey temerity, etc.) so they could attend, but alas, they may as well have died for all the good it would do trying to reach them. Although through some weird fate of serendipity it turns out my sister and I know DevilsDarkAngel(not sure that's how he puts his name) in RL. Haha, Anyways, I do like the idea of honoring those who have been influential to the guild of past and present, perhaps I can get those chocolate frog cards up and running again? I don't have any fancy editing programs, but I can see what I can do...
Oh! What if we did like a chocolate frog card collection? Maybe choose 12(or perhaps a number related to 7?) specific people to make cards for, and then have a thread for people to eat chocolate frogs, and they roll to see which card they got with it, the first one to collect them all wins?
It'd be nice if we did that to have some more rare than others, not sure how the numbers work for that but I think it'd be neat in my opinion.

OMG OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE. I even love the chocolate frog idea!!
As for the event itself, we haven't really discussed it but we know it has to be big. Big events we've done in the past Pajama Rama, Yule Ball, Fright Week(costumes) mixed all in one somehow?

@Lyra, well that's really a question for Katie/Hope, because she's the one who made it years ago. But she's still got all the files and such last I checked... and she's got a lot of people's old avi's saved as well.
Is this event going to be while term is still in session or during the winter hols?

for haloween i kind of want to have a zombie game of some kind cause nothing ever goes right at halloween
but for the december event we should add some kind of christmas thing and maybe add some other holidays that are based in that month i like the choclate cards idea that would be epic and i vote for miss love she was one of the main people that taught classes and i loved her DADA class maybe juni and others that have basically left the guild

for the zombie event i had two or 3 ideas that could be used
have each house trapped in their common rooms and they must battle their way to the great hall to learn what is going on (similar to the giants game)
and once they are in the great hall have them work as a school team to try to get the zombies off of hogwarts grounds
the house elves could fight from the kitchen and groups could meet up as they worked their way towards the great hall for instance both griffendor and raven claw are supposed to be on some of the top floors while the house elves and the slytherins are supposed to be in the dunegeons and im not sure where the hufflepuffs are supposed to be
i was also thinking that we could have each student fight their wayindividually
and since every one knows that fire is most effective vs zombies either that or blunt force trama to the haed or enough shots to the chest will work them towards death
also i was thinking that the house elves could be divided into two teams one team in the kitchens and one team in the hosoital wing and if studnets rolled horribly they would have to work their way to the hospital wing to try and get a cure or something
maybe a relay type thing were all the houses and house elves and staff (crew/captains) cant win unless they get all of their members from their houses to the great hall the team with all of their active members there first or the team with the most people there at the end of the term wins
ad have it to where the hospital wing is in the opposite direction of the great hall that way they can either head for hp or head for the goal
if they die off have them appear in the hospital wing and have to start all over again
whats halloween with out lots of creepy things going on?

As for people, I know I can think of tons of super active members that made the guild what it is and/or stood the test of time in their activeness, always being an active and enthusiastic member (which is really just as important as the people who were organizing everything). I'll make another post and start listing leaders and members who stood out through the few years I was around.
