I agree, that's why I only have very little alcohol - nine times out of ten, I just have one drink. The other 10% it's maybe two, and only when someone else is driving.
Haha, I got my license when I was 19, so I didn't have to take driver's ed. XD

I took driver's ed when I was 16 . . . and my mother loved me having a liscense more that I did! She kept sending me out to get her stuff from the store! rolleyes
The most I have ever had was a cup of sake at a time. Usually on New Years. Other than that, nah.

That's the same reason I want to put it off. I don't feel comfortable with the idea of driving.
When I'm 21, I'll only drink wine. That'd only be for my health anyway. I would never "drink to drink".
*gluggles* Cool, Talon! If ever another forum wants a "gluggle society" feel free to call on me. I'm a part of the original one (though it's dead) and one on my site (which is limping along, as it has just been made).
Technically, you never have to take Driver's Ed. the chance of passing the test without having done so isn't very high, though (which is why it isn't advised).

It's really expencive (about 1,5k €, which is about the same in dollars) and quite tough (in my opinion) to get the drivers license in Finland, with both practical and theoretical test + obligatory theory lessons and driving lessons + lessons in driving in the dark and on slippery roads. There's a huge amount of mental stress... so I'm really happy I passed on my first try.
And soon I have to pay up even more since the first license you get is only called a temporary one, then you have to pass the second test before you get the real license neutral

Yoder *laughs at how many times he's explained it* Okay, a gluggle is a fusion of huggle and glomp. A huggle is a fusion of hug and snuggle. Basically, a gluggle is 50% glomp, 25% hug, and 25% snuggle. It's a just a random thing for fun. *gluggles* The new "rainy" hair set is neat. -gasp-and you forgot to mention who created it! -waits patiently, tapping one foot-...... .......... ................

To top it all off I'm both French and Irish...bad combination for booze.

tizer if i'm gonna drink - i'm going to get drunk. Otherwise i stay away from it, too expensive otherwise. When whats the entire point of getting drunk? To wake up with a pounding headache the next day, not being able to remember anything that happened or waking up in your own puke in some house that you dont even know. My parents have never gotten drunk, and Im quite happy about it. From the stories I've heard, apparently it's not pleasant. But wouldn't it be nice to have like .. a cooler from time to time for a treat. Like .. makes better sense then getting shitfaced out of your mind.

I used to think like that, asking myself what the point with it was. In the end I think it's quite useless to find a good point in it and I'm not going to start arguing about it. I mean there are loads of other things we do that are completely pointless, like watching TV.
I get drunk since then you get relaxed and are able to have fun without worrying. It makes you bolder thus allowing you to do crazy (and really fun) things you'd never even concider doing sober. It's a social thing really, you're able to talk to more people without being as shy as you usually are. I don't either see much of a point in getting so drunk you can't walk or talk properly, you just have to learn your own limits. Besides I seldom get hangovers, so I don't have to worry much about that xD
I've been brought up in a house where alcohol is not such a big deal. We're not alcoholists (have a relative die because of it, it's horrible, I will never ever let myself get into that condition), but I've seen my parents drunk several times. For me it's kind of a natural part of a party already and the amount depends on the kind of party it is. But I can't drink more than one or two glasses of wine over dinner when with my parents and always act as a driver for them whenever they're out somewhere partying. Also of all the countless times and places I've gotten drunk, I've never woken up in an unknown place lying in my own puke. People focus too much on the negative sides...
It's a big difference between getting tipsy and getting shitfaced, you just need to be able to controll yourself.

Oy...drunkeness...not exactly the best of subjects to touch on. I find drunk people hard to deal with and extremely awkward in social situations sweatdrop Being prone to alcohalism I cannot drink...(plus most liquor tastes bad to me...I'll stick to diet coke) Still, I can understand somewhat the mentality of people who get drunk...at least some of them. Many are trying to escape some manner of pain that their mind in full conciousness cannot deal with. I would rather they handle it without losing their minds in the process, but in the end I cannot truly judge them. Many have gone through tragedy i shall never understand...which makes the line between right and wrong all the more difficult to discern
Everything is in a state of gray lately...
