The game seems pretty sorted, so how about we discuss themes for each day again? (Part of this is copied from what I said earlier.)
Icee didn't want seasons because it's kind of similar to elements, which we did last time, so she suggested the animals, but as I said before I think that's too difficult. There aren't many items that represent the house animals, and those aren't exactly cheap. Even though we did elements last time, I think seasons would be ok because it's a little different from elements and less difficult than animals. Or we could pick a color for each day, but that would be more like guild pride rather than house pride because everyone would end up dressing up in all the house colors. I think we should make one day a guild pride day where you try to make your outfit represent ALL of the house colors (and house-elf purple too).
I think since the main event is the House Relay Race and it's so darn amazing, we can just keep the dressing things simple!
During the race, house members are required to wear their House Colors (creates Unity within the House), if they can add their house animal: great, if not, well then they're not the team leaders lol.
But the day the race ends (aka when Adonis gets ready to do whatever) everyone should try to don an item that represents each of the four Houses (be it animal or color) and also an item that represents our lovely house-elves (food or purple).

Question though before everything else gets laid out: do you want to create a thread or just participate? It's up to you! You can def do both, I'll just need to know so we can take this dicussion to PMs or something
Goood Question. Just Participate if that would be all right, it would seem to me that you mods are a lot better at organizing these kinds of things, and I think it just sounds right to be coming from heads of houses or people of authority (plus I'm quite eager to participate in it). But I'd be glad to type up anything if you would like so you don't have to do it all, and you all have my full permission to do with my idea what you will, I trust in your judgement. 3nodding

Phew, I finally read through everything! ((My apologies, I'm horrible at remembering to look at this thread.))
GENIUS ideas, definitely. 3nodding
As far as the days go... Well, at my school (we just had a spirit week actually) each day is a random theme. The most recent one was Class Color Day (freshman wore purple, sophomores wore green, juniors wore red, and seniors wore white), Duct Tape Day, Back to Preschool Day, Blackout Day (everyone wore black), and then Blue and Gold Day (School colors obviously)
We've also had Nerd Day, Harry Potter Day, Jersey Shore Day, and who knows what else.
I know we can't include those exactly, but we can try and include fun stuff like that. Maybe one day can be Pajama Day? Jam as many items on your avatar as you can day? I dunno, those are just ideas but if anyone else has something similar, that would be great!

As for partaking in the Spirit Week (dress up part) I have a question. Are we going to make it mandatory that everyone dress up or will it be up to the person? Right now in talking about it, it sounds like you all mean for it to be mandatory, if that's true maybe we should use tektek again for outfits. If we are able to use tektek we'd have alot more options on things to wear and everything won't be the same items. Just because we use tektek (if we do) doesn't mean we can't dress our avi's up as well. It may just be hard for everyone to come up with an outfit they all like and can afford is what I'm getting at.
As for the other part (what you are all talking about) I have to agree with icee. Keeping thing simple is probably the best idea since there is so much detail for the relay. Sometimes we seem to take to much on for an event and then we wind up behind schedule. I don't want this to happen this time, especially with it being during term, not at the beginning or end.
((sorry if that last part is kinda backwards, I'm so tired but I felt I had to post because of red's amazing ideas.))

I don't see a reason for dressing up to be mandatory. I'm fine with it being optional. I like dressing up and trying to find outfits biggrin

An idea for the relay race:
(To move Slytherin's snake long distance [100meters]) The slytherin students set up a booth and begin to hand out "free" large fur coats. Thinking a fur-clad student is a particularly large meal possibility, the Slytherin snake sneaks up on the unsuspecting kid and gobbles him/her up in one swallow. Fortunately, for the eaten student that is, the Hogwarts mascots are magically forbidden from harming any student or staff member. The moment the snake swallows the furry student, there is a loud pop and the recently-eaten child appears ten meters away; looking terrified, covered in slimy snake saliva, but completely safe. It is of no concern to the Slytherin if the student survives, however. Thier only concern is that, in stalking the student, Slytherin House's Spirit Week mascot has moved 100 meters closer to school grounds.

you're one of our best donators so I'm sure we can definitely handle it. See if there's interest in it by posting in the off topic chat thread in the Discussion subforum

Great idea tech! I could also volunteer funds for it. I think that it's something people would really like taking advantage of! And who knows, it could make for some great inter-house mingling, which is always a plus in my book. 3nodding

So far, feedback for the guild chat seems very positive. I see no reason why we should prolong it. As soon as the other mods give a nay or yay, we'll buy it!
