It came from an old game. It was a really fantastic game. Plentifully violent, too - you got miniguns and shot other people in the face. A good long burst from a minigun would blow up a car, but if you were willing to waste a shotgun magazine or two you could do the same thing. You always had to be really careful blowing up cars, though, because it was really easy to kill your own agents doing it. It was still fun though.
Anyway, Venom needs to advance our plotline here or we'll get bogged down. We need to do something for the newbies. BEfore we lose 'em all.))
The Shadow split a hole in itself to allow the fireball to pass cleanly through. It had enough warning to pull that sort of thing off.

The Shadow repeated his action, but suddenly shifted slightly for no apparent reason.

Joe reached his right hand up so that it was parallel to his face and over his left shoulder. The fireball, which had been swirling back to attack the Shadow again, instantly reversed direction and flew straight at his hand.
Slamming into it, the fire vanished, absorbed back into Joe as he sat down next to Paul, looking at the Shadow from across the Unlight border.

The Shadow grinned nastily at Joe but slid back to join his compatriots.

((I know you guys are probably tired of all the new RPs and all, but the success of Blazer Drive prompted me to make a second roleplay. I hope it doesn't eclipse Blazer Drive, but I fear it might. I think I've really struck gold with this one.))

"I suggest you all leave. More are on their way," Helmsborough advised. "You have your people. So, unless you have anything else you require and expect Abaddon to grant... go." Another Necromantic Shadow burst from the shade of a tree beside him and he slashed it in half and blasted the halves into the circle the original Shadows were trapped in.

Looking away from the Shadow and to Helmsborough, Joe said, "But what are you going to do?" He stood, dusting himself off once again. He walked a little ways towards the other Avatar. He raised a hand casually and torched a Shadow as it sped towards him, forcing it back. "You can't handle all of them forever."

Joe couldn't help smirking as he nodded. "All right. I'm sure we'll be seeing you soon then."
He went back to the others and hunkered down. "So...what do we do now?" The same question was directed mentally towards the Djinn.
