The 2D games are better anyway.
Though Sonic Adventure 2 Battle was pretty fun...
And as for the story, I really have no idea what goes on in there. My knowledge of the 'story' in the Sonic games is pretty much the same as it was when I was little. He runs really really fast and stops Robotnik (Can't stand it when folks call him Eggman. I DON'T CARE IF THE GAMES CALL HIM THAT TOO, IT'S A STUPID NAME AND YOU KNOW IT)"Eggman" was just Sonic making fun of Robotnik in Sonic Adventure.. Sonic: "Hey look! It's a giant talking egg!" I guess his old "RoBUTTnik" gag was getting old to some people.. D: I'm not too keen on Eggman either.. but it doesn't bother me if people say Eggman. I always say Robotnik :3 And to quote Alex day again as a response to your other post: "We accepted Tails and Knuckles too. Flickies took some time but they were cute. Chaotix started to push my patience Amy Rose was an abomination"

I dunno, I don't think I could pick up playing Sonic games again. I mean hell, it's been hard enough for me picking up Brawl again.

Tentae: I know that, but at this point the names have become interchangeable, which infuriates me to no end.
I've never been a big player of the Sonic games to be honest (I never owned the old ones, mostly because I didn't have the console), but it's nice to know that they're going back to how it used to be. 3D has not been kind to Sonic....

Also: I believe what killed Sonic for most people is when they tried to give it a storyline. Before, it was just a fun little race game, how fast can you get to the finish. Now, it's different, and most people don't like that. ...I can't be burned."

Well it's still gonna be 3D.. just.. side scrolling platform. The gameplay is going back to the basics, picking up after Sonic 3 and Knuckles. Which is awesome. The first one will feature Sonic as the only playable character :3
I can't wait =D

I loved Sonic on the Genesis and up till the Dreamcast. The story in Sonic Adventure and Sonic Adventure 2 was pretty solid. But they just kept going and complicating things.. Shadow died. Though he is a cool character in my eyes.. they should've killed him off and left the story at that.
Do something else next game...
Whatever they're doing the best thing possible for Sonic now.
Anyway I'm hittin the sack too.
