Kahaku quarked an eyebrow at the demon. That was a very odd thought, all things considered. He thought she needed...weathering? Another sign popped up, 'be careful what you wish for.'
He looked back to Micoi again, realizing she had more than sufficient reason to avoid the castle. Given, it wasn't technically reason that the Lord would support...But, she was the Queen-to-be, and her wishes counted in the dragon's mind just as much as his.
'Not that you really need me to tell you, but please do be careful...And try not to have too much fun,' Kahaku had a little bit of a smirk to him as that sign became visible. It was one thing to let her go and enjoy herself; it was another to let the lord know. That would probably get Celia in trouble, and as she was his knight he was going to attempt to avoid that.
After that he flew back off to go find Celia.

Aiketh, riding a few paces ahead of a visibly nervous Baran, arrived at the group of people near the HQ just in time to see the dragon wing his way over their heads, back towards the castle.
She glanced at Micoi and Kanak, opened her mouth, then decided to skip over their presence for the time being. "Kushina," she turned to the other Officer instead, "will you be joining us?"

When the Black Officer at first came riding up to them and Micoi noticed her, the Queen-to-be jumped behind Kanak's back. However, when the older dragon focused elsewhere, she peeked over his shoulder before stepping forward again, smiling. One could never be too sure what the strict Officer of Security would do... well, at least that's how she appeared to Micoi.
Kanak had just quirked an eyebrow slightly at the duel dragon and given a low snort before it left. He didn't pay it more attention, either, when Aiketh came along than turning his head to look at her when she spoke. "Either way and whatever you do," the demon shrugged, "there's an about number of 10 or 11 youkai coming from the west and about 15 from the southeast," he said calmly, confirming what his little dragon beside him had probably felt too.

"What he said," Kushina shrugged and pointed over her shoulder at Kanak, which was not as innocent as it seemed, since she'd done it with her sword.
"So whatever we do, we have to split up. Which are you going to take? We can't let them get any closer to the castle," Kushina's cheerful voice slipped into a low, intense mutter, her eyes narrowed into darkened pits.

Aiketh hesitated for a moment. She wanted to head for the larger group, not only because she would feel guilty sending the other party to deal with them when this obviously fell under her duties. However, she had Baran with her to supervise and he was making it very clear that he was not confident in his abilities.
"...I'll go with Baran and one group of Dragon Fighters to the southeast," she finally decided, reasoning that if things started to get out of hand she would be there and should be able to rein them back in without too much difficulty. "Will you three be taking on the other group?" She glanced briefly at Micoi. She had seen the other woman spar and had to admit that she was very well trained. She was quite probably better than any of the Fighters, so restricting her to the castle on the basis of her skill was out of the question. On the other hand, there would be quite a problem if she was to somehow get injured... a problem that, as Officer of Security, she would be all too accountable for. "Lady Micoi?"

Said person grinned merrily at Aiketh. "I'll be staying here," she replied. "Uhm... here as in on the west side," she nodded when she got eyed by Kushina. "Don't worry, I've got my sword and Kanak if I need him." Said weapon currently resting on the youkai's shoulder. "I'll be all right."

Aiketh sighed. "I certainly hope so. You will be the one weilding that weapon, correct?" She eyed the sword still being held by Kanak. "You won't be going unarmed?" This was making her uneasy, but she had little choice in the matter. The long and short of it was that Micoi had made it very clear that she was capable of taking on the likes of these demons and she certainly outranked Aiketh; she could suggest, but she could not command. Furthermore, she would be with this man and Kushina. While she did not know about the demon, Aiketh knew enough about the Blue Dragon Officer. She would make sure Micoi was kept (mostly) safe.
"Let's go, then."
Baran swallowed nervously. As the others had been talking he had watched as Reyn and a small group of Dragon Fighters had gathered, standing still and waiting for instructions. He knew them all very well; only a few days earlier he had belonged to their group of low-ranking fighters and would have been standing there with them. He wished he could trade places with one of them; he knew that many of them were stronger than him and all but one had come to the castle before him, some by many years.
"God..."

Kamikits "My Lord," Neith stepped through the door as well, past Illusia. "Excuse me. Where is Lady Micoi?" Jett looked up from a map of the palace and the surroundning area spread out on the table. "Micoi? I sent Celia with her to an inner room for her protection. We can afford to spare one knight." He wasn't going to mention that Celia never seemed to be the most suited for the front lines, Dragon Knight or no. But he'd never directly question Kahaku or let his opinions on this be known.

Neith nodded. "Alright. I need to make certain all of the girls are accounted for. I'll check on her after that..." The head maid shook her head with slight worry. "Thank you. Excuse me." She dipped her head in respect, leaving the other two alone in the room.

Illusia gave a bow of his head to the female dragon as she left through the door then closed it tightly behind her. Turning back towards Jett, the Yellow Officer gave him a smile. "So, Jett, what is our situation?" he asked, wanting to know what Jett had gotten to hear.
((:E We can break with them there, Karill, if you don't wanna post with Jett.... XD;; well, until Neith comes rushing back in later saying that the missy ain't in the sanctuary. Haha.))

"You there," Aiketh waved over one of the Dragon Fighters who were not about to go out, but who happened to be nearby. "Go to the War Room and tell them that we're meeting the demons in two groups. Officer Kushina is accompanying us, as well as Lady Micoi, who will," she stressed the word, "be kept safe." It was a necessary promise, even if it was one she felt uncomfortable making when she would not be there to make certain. "Forgive me," she said, turning back to Micoi and Kanak as the Fighter scurried off. "They'll be looking for you if I don't tell them where you are." She glanced at Kanak specifically this time. "I wasn't certain how to explain your presence, however." Aiketh shook her head. They were taking too long. She motioned at Baran to signal the Dragon Fighters and they headed off, leaving the other group behind.
((Karill: If you wanna use your Fighter here, that would work. o_oa Otherwise the message can just get ignored other than that it was sent.))

Micoi gave Aiketh an irritated stare and made a face at her before turning away from the Black Officer, pouting. After all that trouble...
"Pff!" the demon snorted at the officer's words. "You don't need to either. Consider me not even present and that I was never here," he told her with a grin just before she turned and left. After all, it would all just be better that way and he was not going to join the fighting anyway. For one, he was lacking his spear (crucial detail there, Kanak didn't like borrowing weapons) and for the second, this was a chance for Micoi to adjust for one person battles. Usually, they were two and fought like that too when back at home, but here she would have to relay solely on herself. He was sure she knew that.
Grumbling something, Micoi turned her head to Kushina. "Let's get going," she said, before your lordy comes hunting after me or something, she finished the line in her head. Starting, she walked a few steps before stopping and turned her head towards Kanak. She smiled at him, the youkai returning it but both their expressions quickly turned into lopsided grins with a certain tint to them.
Grinning now, the queen-to-be held out her hand towards him and Kanak heaved the sword off his shoulder and threw it to her, yes, you saw that right. Catching the handle in mid-flight with one hand, Micoi gave a bright smile at everyone assembled. "Shall we?" she asked cheerily but didn't wait for a reply as she turned around again to head in the enemy's direction.

While the rest of the small group, with Kushina and Kanak and some fighters, headed towards the enemy group coming from the west who was trying to sneak closer, the warrior that Aiketh had sent to inform the War Room of the current happenings had arrived there. Not that it was very far away, and certainly closer than the queen-to-be was to the demons, but it still took some time even if you half ran there. Knocking on the door now, the young man waited until a "come in" was heard from the other side of the wall.
Opening the door and entering the room, the dragon bowed quickly to the Dragon Emperor and the Officer of Yellow. "Your majesty, sir," he said, straightening up, "a report from the Black Officer." At their expectant looks, he continued. "Officer Aiketh will be leading some fighters against the group of enemies that is seemingly larger and Officer Kushina will be heading for the other group of demons. However..." Here the dragon paused, as if trying to find the correct words to put in the next sentence. "There, uhm... Officer Aiketh stresses the point that the Lady will be kept safe, seeing how our queen-to-be is heading out with Officer Kushina and seemingly... some friendly youkai she knows. We don't know who he is, but he seems to be with the Lady."

Jett sighed heavily and flopped back down into his chair, praying to anyone who could listen to give him patience. It really shouldn't have surprised him in the slightest, but he was disappointed that Celia couldn't keep watch.
"This is going to be futile, I think, but would you send a message to Akieth to either send Micoi back, or guard her with her life."

((>w> Kekeke. *gets idea from last post*
...Goddamnit, I've been talking to Nadil too much. D: Now I'm talking LIKE her.))
Aiketh might not have much in the way of magical abilities, made worse by the fact that there was not much magic in Dusis to begin with. She did have a bit of power, however, and as they rode away she thought about this even as she tried to finish planning out the battle plan for when they met up with the demons. She rode in the lead, Baran a few paces behind her, and the others behind him. None of them could see her, therefore, as she fingered something at her throat under her clothing.
Theoretically it would work. He had had electric magic too. Besides, she had used it herself, in the past. It had just been a very long time since she had last... Nevermind, though, as that was beside the point as well. It was not one of those trinkets that broke after a couple decades of use, and it was easy to manipulate; that was why he had given it to her in the first place. She just needed to... to "set" it before either group encountered their opponents.
Micoi, Aiketh thought firmly, dipping her right hand into her high collar and pulling it out by its chain until she was able to grasp it firmly, pressing it into the bare skin of her fingers and feeling, stiff from lack of availability and disuse, a slow tendril of her magic slide into it. Micoi. The woman bearing dragon eyes that Lord Jett, White Dragon Officer Teioz, Water Dragon Knight Celia, and Baran brought back from Arinas. The Dragon Empress. Our queen-to-be... She felt her stomach lurch slightly both from the magic snapping suddenly into its outlet and from her realization that the magic was limited and could only remember two people or places at a time and with this addition of Micoi, one of the old bonds was broken. Dropping the chain and its now slightly throbbing addition back down her collar, Aiketh shook her head. Neither of her old links had still been active. The important thing was that, should Micoi find herself in any immediate danger, she would be notified and would be able to reach her.
Even as Aiketh finished confirming this to herself, the wind began to bring to them the noise of fighting.
Face grim, she turned her darna back to face Baran and the Dragon Fighters. "Right, men. This is what we're going to do..."
