“Great, then I suppose I’ll start us off. I’d like the Grilled Ham n’ Cheese and a water if you’d be so kind.” Moti said as he handed his menu to Juliet. She looked down to her notepad and pulled the pen from behind her ear to jot down the order.
“That’s a nice pin,” Juliet added, “I’ve always enjoyed the lotus flower, hence why I named my little shop after it. Rising from the mud-”
“-To become pure and stainless. My thoughts exactly, and why I wear the pin. It reminds me to be pure despite the troubles surrounding me.” Moti replied. Juliet smiled and then turned to Amy.
“And what can I get for you, my dear?”

"Oh, I'll have tea and a salad, thank you," Amy answered immediately, while she repeated that thing about the lotus in her mind.
Rising from the mud to become pure and stainless... she thought, blinking some. It sounds really beautiful... She smiled again, handing her menu to the woman. Once the woman had left, Amy tried to start up conversation again.
"So, what's your job?"

“Ah, back to the job conversation. Well, I’m with a research firm of sorts and I’m basically the new recruit trainer. I give people the rules, philosophy, and other miscellaneous corporate jargon of the organization. If the newbies don’t pass the test, then I can let them go.” Moti said folding his hands on the table.
At the pause in the conversation a slightly smaller Ludicolo twirled up with their drinks nestled safely in its sombrero. It took them from the top, a glass of water for Moti and a teacup and saucer for Amy. With another flourish it produced a teakettle from the back of the sombrero and poured out the tea.
“Colo!” it exclaimed as it happily waddled back behind the main counter.
“So, it’s a pretty boring job although I see plenty of interesting folks and get to travel sometimes. I'm actually going to meet one of our research associates over on Route 9, east of the city later today or tomorrow.” Moti took a drink from his glass.
“What about you? If being a coordinator is anything like being a regular trainer I suppose that it is full time job in and of itself, eh?” Moti asked.

A research firm... associates... Her thoughts returned to her father, who was part of her 'full-time job'. She nodded, somewhat numbly, and quietly thanked the Ludicolo before he left.
The girl took a sip of her tea, smiling a little, and decided to answer the question after a moment or two. "It is," she agreed, setting the cup down. "You have to train your Pokemon, think of appeals, make sure you have good outfits... and that's if you even know where the next contest is." The girl laughed a little, hands still holding the cup.
"I-if you don't mind me asking... what organization do you work for?" she asked hesitantly.

“Well, I suppose it isn’t really important now that I’ve decided to quit as soon as our trip over on Route 9 is over. But I think the secret will be safe with you.” Moti paused as Juliet had returned with their food items on a tray. She set the items on the table and then looked to the two.
“Did you say Route 9?” Juliet interrupted. “I heard some stories from my other patrons about some sort of mischief going on over there. It was something about a singing demon that lulls travelers to sleep and steals their supplies,” the store manager said with a worried glance at the two.
“Oh really?” Moti replied. “I know Jigglypuff live around there, maybe they’re causing a ruckus over something.”
“No, the travelers knew for certain it wasn’t a Jigglypuff. Or a Wigglytuff. Whatever it was, it was too fast for anyone to get a good glimpse of it before they fell asleep.”
“So that’s the other petal I was informed of?” Moti said with a glance to Amy to see if she was still following along.
“Ah, I thought you might be the guy. Mag, right?” Juliet replied with a smile as she waved one of her Ludicolo over. “You had the code down well enough, but I needed to be sure of who you were.” The Ludicolo arrived with another chair, which Juliet promptly sat down in. The other customers had left the café at this point and a third Ludicolo quickly moved over to the door and put up the “Out for Lunch” sign while locking the door.
“Now, as I was saying before you came over,” Mag said as he turned to Amy, “I haven’t been quite up front with you. As you probably noticed from the smoke and mirrors Juliet and I have been tossing around I’m not just some random business man/trainer. I’m a member of the Organization of the White Lotus, a group of people devoted to doing good deeds in the world. Right now I’m looking into a matter concerning Team Rocket and I’ve been undercover as one of their recruiting officers for some time now.” He paused to let Amy take in everything he had said thus far.

Amy was really confused. She thanked Juliet for her food, and she began to eat her salad when she heard the word 'demon'. She swallowed after a moment and blinked.
Why is he mentioning a petal...? she thought, frowning some. And now the Ludicolo were shutting down? Her muscles tensed some.
"Organization..." she repeated slowly, "of the White Lotus...? Team Rocket?" This was especially concerning to her. The Maple girl always had a dislike for the Rockets. But an organization devoted to doing good deeds? That sounded like her kind of thing.
"So what exactly are you doing in Team Rocket?" Amy asked, taking another bite of her salad.

“Well, before I started this whole White Lotus stuff, I was just a normal trainer. My parents died at an early age so I was raised by my grandparents out on Four Island, in the Sevii Islands. After I became a trainer I wandered around for a while doing the normal trainer stuff, battling gyms, and whatnot. Then, one day I went back home to train and figure out what I wanted to do with my life, when suddenly a man appeared before me out in the woods behind our home.”
“He claimed to be my father, and although I was skeptical of him, I heard him out. We went back in to my grandparents and I found my mother there as well. They revealed that they were working within this organization trying to delve into the mysteries of something known as the ‘Three Relics’ but it had been dangerous so they left me behind to grow up normally and safely.”
At this point Juliet chimed in. “Apparently these relics have amazing power and are found in Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn respectively although what they exactly do when you have all three together is still a mystery lost to time. The Kanto and Johto relics were recently found by Team Rocket. One over in Diglett's Cave and the other over in the Burned Tower.”
Mag took this moment to swallow the few bites of his sandwhich. “So I joined in the good fight and was sent undercover to keep an eye out in the Johto branch while my parents were at other branches of Team Rocket. Unfortunately all the intel on the things is kept by the leader of Team Rocket personally so there isn’t much I could do there except to try and push people away from joining Team Rocket.”
“They got tired of me refusing to go out on missions and do bad stuff, so the boss finally forced me out. I figure it’s about time I made my exit from their radar and I’m taking that girl you met earlier with me. They were doing some weird research on memory erasing and brainwashed her into thinking she’s part of the Team.”
“Anyway, I’m seriously sorry about earlier and about all the heavy crap we’re putting on you. I really needed an excuse to get away from those other two and to come here and get the info on this random thief from Juliet here. Although my undercover stuff is important, I still like to do little side quests of sorts if you'll tolerate a video game reference.” Mag nodded apologetically.
“I’m one of the informants. I collect information from around the city and then send it to the higher ups in the organization. They decide where we can help out and then send off agents like Mag here to do the good deeds. We try our best to get everything done, but it seems like we're always out numbered.” Juliet informed as a Ludicolo came up with some tea for her as well.
“You seemed like a good enough kid, so I figured it would be fine to reveal this stuff to ya. Plus now you’ve always got someone you can rely on if you need help.” Mag said as he pulled out an extra white lotus pin from his pocket. On the back was inscribed his number. "Again, sorry for the trouble."
At this point Juliet stood up and nodded to the Ludicolo that was sweeping/dancing near the door. It went over to the door, unlocked it and put the sign away. "Your room is upstairs and the key is in your sandwich." Juliet added as Mag rubbed his jaw after taking another bite of his sandwich only to finally reach the key.
"Ow, you could've warned me sooner!" Mag exclaimed as he felt his tooth to make sure it was still intact while Juliet began to giggle at her clever prank.

The Three Relics... Amy thought, sipping her tea. So they haven't found the one in Hoenn...
"I-it's all right," Amy blinked, somewhat glad that the man had been honest with her. The girl said nothing as they continued to speak, trying to take it all. Undercover Rockets... Organization of the White Lotus... Three Relics... This was certainly not what she expected.
She smiled a little at their antics and took another bite of her salad. Once she finished her bite, she spoke again, choosing her words carefully. "I appreciate you being honest with me..." But was she to do anything about it? The girl briefly considered offering her help with the situation involving a singing demon, but she knew that after the instance with the man today, she would not be much help at all.

The teal-haired bombshell gasped when she saw the greenish aura of the Giga Drain drain her darling Geodude of a good chunk of its vitality. Her slender hands rushed to clasp her cheek in an expression of somewhat overdone horror, her elbows squashing her bust so that her blouse's sumptuous contents bulged. Bulged so violently, in fact, that a button off her blouse popped up, or rather rocketed off, and plopped off her Geodude harmlessly. But anyways. Giga Drain! What business did this Gastly -- ghastly indeed, she added, with a shudder; she was never a fan of those chillingly creepy Ghost-types (boy, was she in for a treat, what with Leon's roster) -- what business did this Gastly have knowing a Grass type move? How awfully rude!
"Geodude! Retaliate with Rock Throw!" the woman cheered, pumping a fist into the air. The Rock Pokemon nodded, a little shaken, but reached into the ground and tore out a small boulder to hurl at his opponent.

For a fleeting moment there was nothing but blackness, and then Mai's maliciously-grinning visage, and then the darkness started to fade into light, and Keegan was vaguely aware of a presence beside him. He heard a sweet voice call his name, and he opened his eyes, suddenly quite aware of just how much his forehead was hurting. "Oh god, Keegan, you're bleeding," the sweet voice spoke again.
He turned his head ever so slightly, now able to see the reflection of the overhead lights in a pool of what most definitely was not water. That familiar, metallic and coppery odor was strong in his nose and he groaned and slowly pulled himself up to his knees, reaching up to feel the shallow cut that now decorated his forehead. "I'm okay," he said quietly, squinting as the blood tried to infiltrate his eyes. He was a little surprised to see that it was Kasiya beside him, her sapphire eyes wide with worry. "Water," he mumbled. "I slipped and hit the thingy. Uh, floor," he gestured to the bloody mess in front of him, and he groaned again. "I'm fine, really," he said again. "It's just a little cut. Head wounds bleed a lot." ===== The Rock Tomb was coming at Beedrill from all sides, and Bugsy knew it would be impossible for it to dodge them all. He didn't have to order the Poison Bee Pokemon to try, however, and it managed to avoid being crushed by the largest of the rocks. The previous bunch that had missed Scyther before its U-Turn had shot up out of the ground so suddenly that there was no chance for Beedrill to evade them. The Pokemon buzzed angrily, looking back at Bugsy for permission to retaliate against the Mankey.
Bugsy nodded. "Fury Attack," he said, his voice one of authority despite his youth. Beedrill buzzed loudly again before speeding towards the Manky, both stingers drawn back until it had closed in on its prey, and as soon as it was close enough it began to jab viciously and repeatedly at Miles. ===== Miharu continued to watch the battle from the sidelines, her left foot twitching slightly against her right, as she was sitting rather ladylike, ankles crossed and everything. Her green eyes darted back and forth between Miles and the Beedrill quickly, trying to read their movements and ascertain as to which of them held the upperhand. Sam had the right idea with Rock Tomb, as any direct hits would be quite damaging to the Bug-type, but she wasn't sure how well that strategy would work against the young, yet experienced Gym Leader.

Kasiya frowned at Keegan's insistence that he was fine, and shook her head. Why did everyone keep saying they were fine, when it was obvious they weren't? As far as she was concerned, when she stumbled across someone she cared about lying unconscious and bleeding from their forehead on the floor, that did not qualify as 'fine.' She also couldn't imagine Keegan just slipping and falling on the floor, as he wasn't normally a clumsy person. Could just be fatigue, she thought, reaching out to help him as he pulled himself up. She could see now that his wound wasn't as serious as she'd initially thought, but it still needed to be cleaned, and it was possible that he had a concussion.
Wordlessly she got to her feet and grabbed several wash cloths from a rack nearby, and she soaked them all with cold water before bringing them back over to Keegan. "You're just lucky I'm here to take care of you," she told the redhead, a playful edge to her voice as she carefully pushed back his hair and applied the cloth to his forehead, hoping the cold cloth would help to stop the bleeding as well as reduce the swelling. "Hold that there," she instructed, using another cloth to carefully wipe the blood from his face, and it was only after she'd stood up to rinse the cloth out again that she'd realized he was wearing only a towel. Her face flushed scarlet with embarrassment as she knelt down beside him once more.
=-=-=-=-= "Bidoof, Defense Curl, quick!" Jake called, stealing a glance at Robin as she cheered her Monferno on. She was a highly spirited, and happy girl, that was for sure. The blonde boy couldn't help but crack a bit of a smile, as having her nearby made everything around him seem a little less bleak and hopeless. Bidoof growled as the Gible charged at her, and she quickly curled herself into a ball, her whole body shining brightly as her own defensive abilities increased. This time Jake was ready with his PokeDex, and he was able to see that her ability, Simple, made all her stat-changes wild and more effective than normal. On the flip-side, it meant that having her stats reduced would be highly effective as well, at least for her foe. The Gible's Tackle didn't seem to hurt as much as it could have and Bidoof snarled at the land shark. She couldn't wait to teach the thing a lesson!
Nancy giggled madly and planted an overzealous kiss on Milton's cheek even as Ace Leered at her Geodude. "Now you're just wasting time, Love Birds!" she called. "Geodude, give that Monferno a love tap! Rock Throw!" The rocky Pokemon grunted in reply, having not been all to bothered by Ace's Leer even though his defenses were back to normal. He grabbed several good-sized rocks from the ground with both hands and began to hurl them at the Monferno.

“Well, I’m sure you have plenty of stuff you still need to do before the contest tonight. I’d hate to keep you busy from your training or anything else you need. So, unless you feel like sticking around I’ve got some planning that I need to do so I can have an untimely end and exit gracefully from Team Rocket’s radar.”
Mag picked up his finished dishes and walked over to the counter to drop them in the sink. As he was moving over a group of people came into the café, looking to get a meal. It seemed that the afternoon rush was on its way. The Ludicolo danced over gracefully to each group and began their standard duties. It really was a great gimmick for the shop, since most of the trainers weren’t familiar with Hoenn Pokemon.

The fact that Kasiya hadn't said anything else yet had Keegan feeling quite nervous, as he could tell that she didn't think he was fine and he was sure that any minute now she was going to start yelling at him for being such a clumsy idiot. His head throbbed angrily in time to his pulse and he closed his eyes, listening to the sound of the water running and Kasiya's feet against the wet tile, still waiting for the yelling to come, but it didn't. He winced but refrained from turning away from her as she pressed the cool cloth to his forehead, managing a meek, embarrassed smile at her words. "Yeah, I'm lucky, I know," he answered, opening his eyes again and deciding it best to just agree with everything she said for the time being, especially seeing as how she wasn't the one bleeding into a damp washcloth. He nodded again and held the cloth against his cut, watching the girl carefully in order to try and decipher the expression she wore as she wiped the blood from his face. He was more interested in what she and Mike had talked about rather than his fall, but a voice in the back of his mind kindly brought up the fact that he was probably better off not knowing. Even still, he wanted to know, but wouldn't pry. If Kasiya didn't want to discuss it with him, he'd have to live with it.
He sighed as she got up again, pulling the cloth away to check on the bleeding. It had stopped, or mostly stopped, but he pressed it back against the wound anyway, still partially expecting a scolding from the girl until he saw her glance at his towel and blush furiously. He only smirked in reply as her embarrassment was adorable, only then realizing himself that she was clad in only a bathrobe, and that her hair was damp from the shower. He pulled the cloth back again and began wiping up the blood from the tiles, glancing up at Kasiya now and then. "Everything okay?" he asked her finally, his curiosity getting the better of him. "You're unusually quiet."

"Rock Throw..." Robin muttered sounding a bit worried.
'Love tap?' Ace did not want whatever that was, the big rocks coming at him wasn't anything he wanted a part of either. Deciding that this was a good time to give what he had been practicing with Tony Tony's Vespiqueen to practical use Ace shifted his stance and watched the rocks start to come at him. Focusing Ace flipped himself a large but weak ember coming up to aid his escape. Behind the veil of fire Ace dashed off to the left hoping that the Geodude would pay more attention to the fire then to him. Unfortunately one of the stray rocks the Geodude was throwing clipped his leg. Wincing slightly Ace glared at the pokemon across from him as he reached down and rubbed at the small cut on his leg now.
"Oh wow Ace your so cool!" Robin cheered as she saw her pokemons awesome escape that didn't quite work. Still with some more practice Robin was sure it would work. When Robin saw her partner's Bidoof defend itself so well she couldn't help but give it a loud cheer as well. "Wah, Bidoof I bet you could defend yourself from a Hyper Beam without feeling it!" None of Robin's pokemon were really defensive, other then Slowpoke and she still wasn't sure how to use him right. Maybe she could learn a few lessons from Jaeshan?
"Well I can certainly see the heat of your love for one another! Still our missiles of love still hit you through your flames of passion!" The two of them seemed to be totally involved in each other for a long disturbing moment. "Oh my dear I love you so much! We need to get to our battle so we can test the new generation of lovers! Now Gible lets give them a Sand Attack! Love should be blind so lets make it so!"
Rolling her eyes at her trainers phrases the Gible almost sighed and wondered if running away was a good idea. Still right now she was her trainers pokemon and that was the deal. Eying the Bidoof for a second the Gible spun around for a few second creating a gust of sand.

Posh, back in Floaroma Town, was getting the treatment of her life. Never had she had her stem cells (bahaha) so wonderfully exfoliated, her leaves massaged and trimmed to glorious, springy health, her flower petals made so vibrant and fresh. God, this was better than any Pokemon spa Jun had ever taken her to. The Roselia made a mental note of the techniques Meredith used, to instruct Jun in how to prune her properly later. Well, if there was a a later, the Roselia sighed in bliss once Meredith had her marinate in an outdoor hot spring filled with nutrient water. She figured she could stay here forever...
Meredith had left her there momentarily to run and get something, who knows what, so Posh let herself relax, floating around lazily while sucking up the nutrients. To her left, however, she suddenly heard the determined, sing-song cry of some Pokemon. Whipping her head around, she soon saw that the voice belong to a Bellossom, who had just danced out of the way of a vibrant stream of shining leaves. Posh recognized it to be her own attack, Magical Leaf, but somehow it seemed far more elegant while it swirled in the sky, far stronger when the leaves, as if they had a mind of their own, suddenly angled towards the Bellossom. Once again, the Bellossom shifted nimbly out of the way, not missing a step.
Posh was sure she'd never seen the other Pokemon before in her travels with Jun, but somehow, wow, did it look nostalgic. Like her, it carried two flowers on its hands, but what beautiful flowers! The Pokemon, its attack done, shifted gracefully to a defensive stance. Posh was entranced. Everything it did was so refined, so regal. Somehow, though, she was sure she'd seen these movements before, and the memory lurked in the recesses of her mind, just far enough out of her reach to keep her in the dark. This time, it was the Bouquet Pokemon's time to evade as the Bellossom returned a volley of Magical Leaves; the Roserade leaped up sharply into the air, dodging them all and landing, with aplomb, upon the rocks of Posh's hot spring. She didn't seem to notice the young Roselia, however, and swiftly sprung away again.
Meanwhile, Jun had just landed in Veilstone with Devon. Devon said his business ought to be done in an hour or two -- at three o' clock -- so asked if Jun would prefer him to pick him up from the Veilstone Gym. Jun, unsure of how long his stay would be (since he was unsure, as always, of the reception he might receive at home), shook his head and said he'd meet Devon at the town's center. So they took their leave of one another, Jun and Demi in one direction and that drool-worthy fella Devon in the other. Shame, shame, all the fish in the sea were straight.
