She closed her eyes as smoke bellowed out beside her from the production of a clone next to her. She glanced over to her side momentarily to look at what she'd made, before her face turned pale and she looked at what could hardly be considered a clone of herself, it was a terrible abomination that looked like an experiment gone horribly wrong. She screamed out as she started stomping at it, despite exploding on the first stomp she continued to kick at the ground.
"Ew ew ew ew ew..."
She flopped down and sighed lightly throwing her head back with an aggravated expression on her face.
"That was horrible, I didn't know it was gonna be that awful looking if I messed up."
Regaining her composure she stood to her feet and dusted herself off as she sighed and clenched her fists again trying to regain her confidence as she clapped her hands together and reformed the seals.

She sighed lightly as she released the chakra to create the bunshin, she looked over to the puff of smoke momentarily and noticed that it hadn't changed much from the last time, forcing her to quickly turn her gaze away from it to keep her from having another freak out. Why was this so difficult, maybe her father was right, she'd make a better house wife than a kunoichi. A tear formed in her eye as she clutched her hands together trying to fight this feeling of worthlessness away. She took a few deep breaths as she focused her thoughts and reformed the Tiger Boar Ox and Dog seals as she focused her chakra into her belly. She had to get this right, and prove him wrong, she smirked and tightened her hands together and lowered in her stance.

As a cloud of smoke exploded next to her, she felt even more hesitant about looking over at this time, she felt like she messed up significantly when releasing her chakra. Turning her back to whatever she had just made she sighed lightly as she released the jutsu and stared off into the grassy meadow. What was she doing wrong, why is it she spent so much time reading and gathering information about all of this, but when it came down to the actual process it turned out to be so much more difficult that it was frustrating. She felt like this was beyond her grasp, maybe she was doing the hand seals improperly, looking at her hands she wiggled her fingers slowly wondering what she was doing wrong that made it so hard for her to form the jutsu. She shouldn't be doubting herself, she needed to do this and become a great kunoichi worthy of praise and glory, to be remembered through history. Clenching her fists she smirked as she threw her hands out reforming the seals as she focused her chakra.

Rhaim found himself returning to the training grounds a bit later than he had intended to, though earlier than he would have liked to. In fact if it had not been for his mother and sisters forcing him out of the house screaming after him about not disgracing their name, he would likely still be curled up under his covers. He had gathered enough from other villagers that he passed that there were even more students training at the academy and the training grounds. However he didn't dwell on the issue too much since it was highly unlikely that they would be ready to test in time. He rather focused his mind, between cloud gazings, on his Touei training that he was half way through completing. Unlike with the bomb tag jutsu, he felt much more confident with this justu's training progression.
As he walked into the meadow he noticed one of the obviously new students practicing what appeared to be the Bunshin no Jutsu. The training didn't catch his eye so much as the family crest on the girls clothes. He suddenly understood what his mother and sisters meant when they yelled at his this morning. As he drew out his kunai and scanned the nearby trees for a bird to play his victim, the young Nara rattled his brain to try and remember the girls name. He was certain that he had seen her at some family function or two. He tried his hardest to clear his mind of her as he found a bird and took up a stance with his kunai under the tree it was perched in. He held it so that the blade was flat against his forearm and tilted it to catch what little morning sun there was while forcing chakra through the blade.

As was his custom Rhaim was unable to keep his mind on the shinobi task at hand and rather concentrated on what the name of his relative working nearby was. Since it was the first time that he had attempted to do anything that day he wasn't too concerned about the fact that he wasn't able to get the slightest bit of glare to shine back up at the little bird. Then again he probably wouldn't have cared any more if he had been working for hours before hand. In a way he hand spent a few hours the day prior trying to get the fundamentals of the Jutsu down. The short boy brought the kunai down by his side and closed his eyes while rotating his neck around. Trying to both loosen himself up a bit and do the least amount of actual movement needed to get himself into a better groove. When he had spun it about his neck enough times for him to feel satisfied he opened his eyes and looked up at the bird that still sat on its perch. He slowly drew up his right hand with the kunai into the same position that he had held prior. With a wave of chakra rushing over the blade he watched up the trunk of the tree to find and direct the reflected light up to the eyes of the little bird.

Rhaim watched with great happiness as the beam of light climbed the tree and rose up into the eyes of... a leaf. For all of his focus and concentrating he had managed to aim himself at the wrong tree after his little neck stretching exercise. With a light sigh he released his concentration from his chakra running through the blade and once again let it hang limp at his side while he glanced sideways at the bird. He played through the images of the previous birds falling from the their respective trees and landing upon the earth with a thud. It was too bad he hadn't learned the technique prior to hunting the monkeys since it would have likely saved him many scars. As he felt that he was completed with his stare down of the bird resting high above him, the small Nara child let out another sigh. He brought the kunai up again with the blade resting against his forearm while he released chakra along the weapon to enhance the sun light. This time he kept his feet firmly plated and eyes locked onto the bird that was above him.

Rhaim wrestled with the small bit of morning light to maintain a solid enough connection to make the jutsu work. However in the end it was to no avail as the bird still sat happily upon the tree branch above the Nara boy. He switched the kunai to his left hand and stowed it back into the holster while reaching back to his pouch containing the Touei scroll. Considering he hadn't yet looked at the thing this day, he figured that reviewing the fundamentals of the technique and ensuring that he wasn't missing any major steps would be a logical thing to do. With the kunai away and the scroll he sat down in the same place where he had been standing and undid the scroll, studying his handwriting on the topic. After several rereads of the script he rolled it up and pushed it back into the pouch. Without standing up he retrieved the kunai and brought it into position to conduct the justu again. His concentration rested more upon the gathering of the light instead of the movement of his chakra.

Rhaim still found that even after looking over his scroll to refresh his memory on the workings of the technique that he was still unable to cause the bird to flinch. He reached his hands behind his head and stretched backwards convinced that he simply was not warmed up enough to be trying this stuff so early in the day. However he wasn't about to stop now in order to run laps or do sit ups, or some other active event. With his hands and kunai behind his head he stared up at the bird wondering if perhaps it was some sort of ninja bird that was able to cause his technique to fail. The young boy smiled inwardly at the absurd thought that the bird had any idea what he was doing, much less that it was in some way hindering him. He brought himself back into the stance and prepared to give the training another go. As he set out his chakra he began to sense that it was soon going to become time for him to rest and regain some of it back. The idea of napping in the trees was rather pleasant as he set in to work conducting the Touei again.

Rhaim hadn't even realized that the blade had slipped from his grasp and landed on the grass in front of him for about two seconds. His mind had once again wondered off of the training that he was conducting and onto another track. This time he was curious as to the whereabouts and disposition of the girl that he had met and helped train the day prior. For the life of him, the boy could not seem to remember what the girls given or family name was. Though he had spent most of the day not knowing what her name was, he had learned it by the end of the day and should have remembered it over night. With a sigh of defeat he reached down and grabbed his weapon, realising that he wouldn't likely recall her name until he saw her again. He tilted his head to the side maintaining eye contact on the kunai until it was in position so that he wouldn't drop it again. This would be his last chance to try the Touei for the time being due to his lack of adaquate chakra.

Rhaim stepped back from the tree that he had been standing in front of as the bird fell from it's post above him. The creature thumped onto the ground and laid there for several moments twitching before attempting to get up and eventually fly away. The Nara child nodded his headed while replacing the kunai in his holster, satisfied that the technique had been accomplished successfully. He only would need to fine tune the jutsu with a couple more training sessions before he would be ready to use it in an actual real life situation. Since he was too low on chakra to continue doing so for the time being he decided to take off to the library and complete a scroll for the Mizuame Nabara no Jutsu that he had been researching the day before. The fact that it would not be a labor intensive task would mean that he could recover and still get some work done.
As he headed out from the training grounds he took another look at the vaguely familiar Nara girl, still unable to think of her name. Or the name of the other girl for that matter.

Rhaim walked back into the familiar scene of the meadows to find that not much had actually changed in the area. There were still other students doing training about the meadows in various stages of progression. With a yawn and a lean backwards he decided that he had earned himself a nice little nap. Besides he couldn't exactly continue his training for the Touei without recovering more chakra first. His chakra defineately could use some recovering. Though he was certain that he could pull off the stunt again he wasn't sure at what point the exams would begin and wasn't about to begin those without any chakra to conduct whatever tasks it held. He made his way to a grassy spot with plenty of sunlight to lay down in and drift away into his over active imagination.

Rhaim was soon thrust into a deep sleep full of relaxation and lacking in any work or training. It was pure bliss to the lad until an all too familiar voice began ringing about in his mind. His mothers' charging him out of bed earlier in the morning must have cursed him to thinking about the incident every time he tried to sleep. With a rather upset frown he slowly opened his eyes to find that only a brief time had elapsed and that he didn't feel very much rested. In fact he felt rather cheated out of what he believed to be a well deserved break from his training. After all he had completed all of the graduation assignments already. He pulled the red cloth about his neck up over his mouth to guise his disposition before standing to his feet. Though he knew he couldn't attempt to sleep, the Nara also knew that he needed to rest up more before carrying on with his training. Defeat by his mothers curse to keep him active he took his leave of the meadows and landed on the idea of a walk in the mountains. Likely he'd at least be away from training shinobi up there.

Rhaim stepped back into the meadows from the forest path rather refreshed and awake. Unfortuneately that meant that he likely wouldn't be able to nap while he waited for the exams to begin. However he wasn't going to try and do any other training at the moment. As much as he didn't want to admit it, his sister's friend was correct in that he needed to be fully rested and ready to begin the exams. So the Nara child took himself to what he considered to be the most comfortable patch of grass around and laid himself out. If he couldn't nap then he'd do the second best thing to that activity, cloud watching. The of the biggest reasons that he loved the activity so much was that it often times led to his favorite activity. And so the boy waited strecthed out on his back with his hands under his head and his eyes squinting upwards.

The breeze created by the vigor in her step had managed to dry off Tenma's clothes, though her hair was still heavily damp. With the clearing in view the woman scanned the grounds with her electric purple eyes. As the orbs caressed the scene Tenma noted familiar faces, like Rhiam's, and others that weren't as familiar. As a matter of fact, Rhiam was the only student on the grounds that the girl did recognize, which made her wonder what was going on. The overly exuberate boy and the Uchiha were missing but she had no explanation as to why. Regardless, she was there to focus on becoming a shinobi, not to make social calls.

Taiju walked out into the open meadow, looking for anyone who seemed to be a student. The lack of prepared students pissed him off to no end. He didn't even know who was participating in the exams...
"Anyone who is participating in today's exams needs to get their sorry asses over here immediately. Being late will result in an auto-failure and a repeat of their academy years."
His voice boomed across the meadow, and he was sure that he was Now then while they were coming; he had to figure out something for them to do. He had been told to have them fight each other but that seemed boring. Plus there was no challenge in that. Taiju stretched and looked around for any signs of people moving around, and decided that he might as well think of something to torture them with for making him wait around.
