"The captain doesn't harp as much as you think. and neither do I. there are certain requirements on a ship. everyone needs to pull their weight, especially on a non-imperial ship. we live, literally, on day to day basis. those that don't cut it either don't live long, or are thrown overboard. The captain's original plan was to keep them below decks, out of trouble, and out of sight. your sister took that as some kind of affront."
a slight smirk.
"I imagine, someone that lives through their ears, would have some issues with rainy weather. it can drown out words, and she can't exactly see to know what is wanted of her. we've already discussed it, and that's why the captain is at the helm. the usual helmsman has taken up your sister's position."
though looking at Caden.
"though the other one, I just hope her and the galley are getting along better today. and if you would, lad...see if you can't get that blue beastie off the prow before she falls off?"
"That's an understatement."
walking over to her, and giving her a kiss on her forehead.
"We'll get things right, you and me. we had a hard time at first, and I made it worse I know. but we'll be fine sooner rather than later. just remember to stop by more often than just to say hello and pick up supplies. you need to stick around a bit too."
a slight grin, though she didn't see it.
"I don't want to have to tie you to a bed or something to get you to stick around the house, and I'll make sure you can't rot it."

"Yup it is pretty cool." Some of the creatures would be a little odd but everyone has got along with them at least. "Yeah I heard they are pretty big, though to eat a ship it must mistake it for something that it hunts." A small shrug before he looked to the first mate and cocked an eyebrow. "What?" A blink as he looked around for a moment before he spotted the blue dragon, his eyebrow shot up again before he looked to the others then moved to wards the beast. "What is she doing there?" He muttered to himself as he walked closer, she must of gotten bored of flying.

"Oh well...though she won't tell you, I'm sure my father or I can tell you thank you for that. She stresses and then things start dying and what not and it's just not a pretty thing. One hell of a student though." Shaking his head lightly and wiping a hand scross his face again to flick water off and a look to Sky was indeed was lost in her own world of fun, and Caden was heading off to deal with her. "I'll let him have a go first, should be interesting. Watch out for the tail!" Giving a chuckle, "I wouldn't worry about her falling off, but knokcing someone else off."
She was just having her fun still, more or less crawling all over the ship where she pleased and not caring who was in her way. Rain was fun and she was going to enjoy it as much as she wanted. A paw at deck water puddles and swatting at various wet things, flexing wings to watch the water slick down the membranes. But her attention turned to Caden as he approached, he head cocked to the side and that look of playful wild cat who may pounce.
Understatement yes. But she was more willing to talk in understatements that ones that were accurate when it came to such a subject. "I'll make sure I try...after all after this little trip I think I may come home simply because I'll never want to see another pirate again and I know those aren't abundant there." She gave him one of those sarcastic looks that she probably didn't even know she was doing it...though she probably made it look more creepy than usual. "Going to ask a real necromancer how to prevent that? I'm sure I can weasel my way around whatever you come up with."

Caden looked back to the elf and gave a light nod before turning back to the blue dragon and he smiled a little bit. "Hey Sky having fun?" She seemed to be, and that was a good thing, it seemed that she was doing things that she wouldn't be able to do if she went back with the riders.

Still she watched him in that playful manner as if she was contemplating things...and it only took a split second of movement before a wet bladed tail lashed out at his ankles, broad side of the tail blade catching him to throw him off his feet. She duely pounced on him, nudging him around deck with her snout and paws some before plopping down and resting a clawed paw on him as if to keep him from getting up. "Caden."

Caden watched her carefully, she seemed to be up to something. The look in her eyes gave him that at least. Before he knew it he was flat on the deck, Dhairiss warned him about the tail but he watched quick enough to keep a good eye on it. So there he was being moved around the deck without much trouble, Sky had the strength to do so. Though when she finally stopped the guardian saw himself with a paw on him, it seemed she didn't want him to go anywhere. So he smiled lightly as he looked to wards the blue dragon though he hoped she wasn't going to act more rough. "Yes I am Caden, good to see you got my name right." A little chuckle from him. "And you are Sky, so Sky how was your time in the sky?" He asked pointing up wards.

She twisted her head again and blinked big blue eyes at him. She looked to him, his hand and then the sky above. Again him, hand, sky. Him, hand sky. That was the sky? "Sky?" Said with questionative tone to him and she seemed generally confused. "Myself Sky." A look up to the blue thing. "Sky?" And back to Caden. "Two Sky?"

A blink as Caden looked at the dragon until he realized he may have just confused the poor thing. Aw crap. Sighing he paused for a second to see if he could explain this. "Your name, which we know you by is Sky." He said pointing to her and giving a light nod. "Now this sky..." He said pointing back up wards. "Is the place you flew around in, where you used your wings to carry you around." A moment of silence before he looked back at her. "So you Sky." Again point at her. "Are different from that sky." He pointed up again before looking into her blue eyes. "Understand?" Really he should of asked her how was her flight, then maybe he would not of gotten her confused.

Finishing off his mug, he handed it back to the first mate and wiped his face again before a nod and then he turned and walked up to the captain. "Captain Deacon, yes? Tip for dealing with my sister I think you should have. Let her get a feel of you...yes quite literally and don't think anything dirty with that statement. May put her at ease. Well...better see what the family is up to." Even if he may be intruding on private moments. Heading below deck, he made his way down to his father and sister...well, seemed sis was acting in typical fashion to rain. "No worries Savvy, looks like the rain is breaking up soon."
She watched him and where he pointed and to his sentence structure, putting everything together in her head as it made more and more sense. She loved to listen to them talk, so she could learn how to put the words together that she was learning. "Sky is air. Sky is myself. Sky not sky." Flicking her tail and giving a purring noise at her own perceived accomplisment. Thusly a nuzzle at him before teeth hooked on his clothing and she stood, carrying him by his shirt a little ways and setting him back down, sitting down in front of him expectantly. "More same words."

"I could have Broog sit on you."
glancing at his second born, before leaning back a bit.
"So are you ready to go, or have you decided to stick around due to the new pet project of Shyrae?"
Hunter listened, but mostly let it go in one ear and out the other. he was busy trying to guide the ship, and wasn't really in the mood to hear about how to deal with that soon to be again little hellion minx down below.

"Now that I may have some difficulty getting away from I admit." She duly flipped her brother off...a human gesture that she had learned and it wasn't much appreciated in her household thus she took that to mean it was all the more insulting.
"Oh yes, very lady like." Walking over and snagging her by her wrist, stumbling her out of the hammock and against him as he pulled her into a hug, much to her sudden fighting and shrieking.
"You're wet! Get off of me you're getting me we too!" Unfortunately her bother was taller than her and thus he could lift her off her feet.
"Yes yes I am. I just love you so much little sister that I care not the state I am in when I hug you." Yeah he was messing with her, harmlessly though. He knew she wasn't afraid of being wet...just water and she didn't like to be wet. And then it happened and he knew it was going to a split second after she slapped her hands on his forearms...and gave him a nice little necromantic jolt, making him let her go. "Ow! Why you always have to do that!?" Fully body buzzy feeling there. "I'm telling mom." Dad would just laugh about it.
She pushed herself up off the flooring which she had dropped to when she had shocked him and merely gave a hmph at him. "Serves you right...I'm wet now. And tell her, she'll tell you that you know better."
"You're just being a grumpy wen-..." Deciding to hold his tongue because he didn't want to get zapped again and dad may get angry with him over calling his sister rather unplayful names. "You're just being Savryn." Shaking his head with a sigh and looking to his father. "Well give her a hug and parting words or whatever. I'm ready, Shyrae can handle it on her own, it'll be good for her." Turning a look to his grumpy pouting sister. "Goodbye Savvers. Try not to make armies that are too big now." A grin and look to his father. "I have to go say bye to Shyrae or she'll yell at me. I'll meet you on deck." Thusly wandering away once more to get Shyrae.

Shy? Shelling beans, just like she was told to do. The cook was ignoring her for the most part, refusing to take her suggestions or anything else. It irritated her but she supposed his pride was still smarting from being dumped over into the sands and requiring the help of the dragon to get back on board. Then again, she had thrown his soup overboard as well, despite the fact that it had rotten meat in it. It still made her giggle when she remembered how Hunter and Desdemona had both tried to tell her the meat wasn't rotten. Had they seen it? No. Apparently she should have just let his entire ship get sick, would have served him right.
Tossing the last of the beans into the pot, she slipped off her stool and headed for the top of the deck to dump the shells overboard. Yes, she could have runed them to a nice spot beneath the sand but she was aching for the break and needed to get away from the galley before she lost her temper and got herself into trouble again. Moving at a rather sedate pace, she turned the corner and ran headlong into Dhairiss with the cast-iron pot. Blinking and then shaking her head, she dropped it and reached out to him. "Dhair! Oh, I'm so sorry!"

He stiffened as he was bumped into, cringing lightly at the sound of heavy metal smacking into the wood under their feet. "I am so glad that I wear steel toed boots." But he shook his head and apparently shook off the moment as easily as he always had as was his ways. "It's okay." Taking a moment to help her clean up the little mess they had made, taking the pot form her and heading up to the deck with her. "Might want to cover your head, it's raining some. Anyway, came to give you hugs and goodbyes. Me and dad are heading back home today."

She chuckled and let him help her clean it then strolled along beside him as they headed up on deck. "Aw, that's sad. I still don't want you to go, Dhair." She took the pot from him and tossed it over, frowning at the droplets smacking her in the face. Good thing she was an elf and more or less immune to temperature changes. "It's for the best, I suppose. Aunt Piper is probably going crazy since Uncle Malik has been here a really long time." She set the pot down at their feet, careful to avoid said steel-toed boots and wrapped her arms around the other elf. "I hate goodbyes..."
