... And there she was, fuming with determination in the form of "that'll shut that b***h up!" She'd been looking for an excuse to come out here, though she had definitely forgotten to enjoy herself now that that was work.
Investigate. She pulled the smartphone from her pocket and started casually thumbing through images. She certainly got an idea what the girl looked like--if she was to be so bold as to make that assumption--though she wasn't sure on whether or not she would have an easier time with this information. Was that really the best way to present it? No matter, not now. She had determined, in between glances at those there--of the Kitsune race, were they?--that nothing Mira could say here or there, then or now or ever, would or could be trusted.
An inconvenient claque: a twig snapping beneath her feet was louder than it should have been. Everyone within a block radius could hear it. She stood there, peek out from the trees, as a cool breeze blew her nerves, excited, rock-hard and brittle. Well great... Do I say something? Mira didn't tell me what the killer looked like. Thanks for that.

-There's a timeskip of at least 4 hours after Daniel was shot at the park, The bureau had already recovered the body and disposed of it.-
The file was a simple exchange student profile with the picture of a girl named Nilin. And what would be the odds. Just as soon as Xuza got a glimpse from the file, the meister would happen to sense dread, danger. Not towards her particularly. It was as if it followed someone near her.
Should she turn behind her, she would be able to spot Nilin wandering confused at the park as if she had lost someone.
Few seconds later she would get a text from Mira.
"You're just a student who's going to show her around. She doesn't know DANIEL is dead. Keep it that way. She musn't know she's been targeted or the killer would not reveal it's identity. Other than that, don't screw it and have fun."
A moment of silence, milling about in the drying leaves and moist ground, stopped and muddled it, as she read what was there flickering every so rapidly, invisibly on her screen.
Daniel... Dead. What did that document say? Where is it... Here we go.
Sure enough, she was able to confirm just what Mira had said: that someone, the killer whom should not be named save for the auspicious title of "suspect," had shot Daniel, the graduated meister and decorated member of the school, in cold blood in the park hours before Xuza had arrived; bringing into question just what "late" had meant coming from Mira's stiffly curled lips. Was she to blame for this murder, not being there to save anyone from their inevitable doom? Heroics be damned; a creeping lull in her soul, a pull of a tide sweeping away all thought in its powerful vacuity, rose up in her and tied her down with its gravity. She felt afraid. For the first time in a long time, she was vulnerable. Panicked eyes and whipping head, she searched her surroundings for the source of that unknown fear, that it might be dispelled or lessened by its recognition. And then she saw her.
From partway across the park, framed by trees and light, the one who was so familiar to Xuza now she seemed a ghost more than human, was walking. She looked lost. Immediately, the meister warped over.
"Hey!" she whisper-yelled, waving the girl over to her. "Are you Nilin? --I hope I said that right..."

Like a ghost girl, Nirlin turned over her shoulder, slowly rotating on her spot with such finesse one could swear she was floating in the air. "Yes?" Her curious and surprised eyes would fall upon Xuza who appeared to be the one behind the voice which called her name. "Are you alright? how do you know my name?" She seemed to observe Xuza carefully, as if expecting her to be wounded. Or have some sort of discapacity, but smiled once realizing it wasnt the case. Still she was curious as to how Xuza knew her name.
Another text was sent on Xuza's smarthphone.
"Your back up was killed while waiting for you to show up. And the back up I sent to cover you seems to have lost comunication as soon as they entered the park. You are on your own. I'm creating a safety perimeter around the streets. Try to act natural. You gotta leave that park. But can't make it look to obvious. Still, I don't think I need to stress out that you keep your eyes open do it? Have fun."
Two ghosts make with the "howdidos" in a park and nobody's around to shoot them: are they still alive? The answers to this question--loaded as it is--are as ambiguous as the boundaries of language itself; provided, of course, the reputations of both parties, they had a decent chance at remaining unseen, though it went without saying that a legendary--if I might be so bold as to call it so--meeting of these presumed haunting presences had the potential to turn into quite the spectacle.
Easy, Uriel... You've gotta use your noggin on this one.
"Oh! Well, that's because I--" and here the decision: Do we play along with the whole tour-guide act, whisk her away and give her the full rundown and trust in her lockdown abilities; which might not be hard, seeing as she could simply grab necessities from within the house, try to be more subtle and get more info? Of course, the wittiness of the meister was interrupted, steered ever-so-slightly by the suggestion of the ever-intimidating Mira Naigus--able to strike her full of terror from miles away--and so Xuza went with...
"--I'm your tour-guide for the afternoon. Part of the new mentorship program at the academy. I'm Xuza. Xuza Uriel, and as a senior, welcome to Death City!" She wasn't done yet. A small bow and big smile. "And~" she sung, "if I do a good job showing you the ropes I'll finally be able to graduate! So help me help you, because it helps me." Not sure what 'almost audible' means? See the brightness of the 'dinging' of Xuza's smile as she stuck out a hand, really doing it up, for Nilin to shake.
Oh crap oh crap oh crap! Too much! What am I thinking? She'll think I'm a psychopath now! Not to mention that was a bigger show than a CRIME SCENE needed to see... Whatever.
"So... Any questions? You just wanna get started...?" The intentional dragging-out of the questions to prompt her, prime her for the right answer.

"Oh..." She replied somewhat sorry as Xuza claimed to be her tour guide. Not that she didn't wanted Xuza to be the guide, but rather sorry to have thought she would be wounded or handicapped. At the very least Xuza appeared to be quite healthy and lively which brought a shy smile back on the pale girl's lips.
She couldn't help it, Xuza had this... flare around her. Even when she was obviously over doing it. It had some charm on it which stole a giggle from Nilin who would raise her hand next to Xuza in such lady like manner that probably Xuza wouldn't believe this girl to be real, since, honestly how long had it been since the last educated girl stepped on this city?
"Nilin..."
Said the pale skinned girl while holding onto Xuza's hand gently before shaking hands.
"Nilin Starshine, pleased to meet you miss Uriel. I will be in your care then."
Nilin paused for a moment, observing the surroundings. And sighed lightly. It would seem she was looking for Daniel. Not that she didn't appreciated Xuza's company, but he was the first friendly face she met on this city. Call it nostalgic. Back with Xuza, Nilin smiled briefly, her hand still prey of Xuza's while the angel had been battling within her mind what should she do next. The handshake was prolonging a little too much. Which started tainting Nilin's cheeks with a soft fluster. Xuza would ask what would she like to ask. "O-oh, nothing really. I'm sure you're quite capable of teaching me the ropes. I was invited to have lunch with Daniel today, so I haven't eaten anything. I hope it's not rude for me to ask if we could go and have a meal." She confessed, still unaware of her previous tutor's fate. The killer could be anywhere... watching them at this very moment .
The visual, silent hand-check: she never saw it coming; didn't realise she was holding on too long; backing off and smiling and wishing she hadn't made up her mind on this incessantly chipper attitude. Though one could wonder how it might have been in other instances. Somewhere, past the great veil of unknowing, Uriel and Starshine reveled in one another's awkwardness, spiraling down into an abyssal shoe-stare (soundtrack by My Chemical Romance). Would that have been more enjoyable? Would it at least have been any different, her shyness, if Xuza did or did not act like a typical preppy senior?
"Oh... You were waiting for someone, huh?" Scratch that. What we have here is the worst way for a failure in communication to occur--and persist at the behest of the intelligence bureau. The worst feeling came over Xuza, keeping low and not changing anything on the surface like a cloud passing by too quickly. She gave her a smile. "Well, that's no good~ We'll go get something at the diner, if that's ok." Here she held out a hand to Nilin.
"... Go ahead. I can take us there instantly. Beats walking, that's for sure!" There was that smile again.

Nilin smiled, playing along with their awkward salute as her fluster bloomed. It didn't took long before they were staring at each other's shoes so to speak. But finally, Xuza broke the iceberg between the two of them as she claimed to take Nilin wherever they wanted instantly. There it was, that hand, Nilin gave a brief look at Xuza's hand. Was this some sort of tradition she had not been aware of? Of course Nilin ignored the fact Xuza could warp them using her awesome space dividing skills. Yet there was... quite a load of hand contact. She shrugged it off, not wanting to be un polite to her senior and made her best to take the girl's hand as fast as she could. Once again, Nilin's gestures were quite refined and smooth, even the fact of taking Xuza's hand was executed with such finesse that one could swear they were performing on a play. "Thank you. I will be in your care then miss Uriel" Nilin smiled and nodded, softly as her lips portrayed a mixture of nervousness and excitement.
Lily Treinna Lily with Blood Blade Nine tailed Form _____________________________________________________________ Lily was now on the park, it was a weird night...the group of people that she conversed with, were a different type of people she was used too, she was so used to people just well being alone, thats what she preferred most of the time, but these people were more inclined to make friends, which to her was a dilemma, as she wan't sure if she should continue being around those kinds of people and try and change herself. she already did want to change herself but compared to what she was expecting they were a bit to intense type of new experiences.
Into the night, borne on wings of a refreshed mind and emboldened ego--what else sustains the young man in high school?--Hideaki breezed through the park the epitome of high spirits and gaiety; his voice, a whistle, a hum, was his own fanfare to which the birds--thrushes, larks, a couple jays perhaps not yet receiving the memo that the cackling sun had indeed begun its comatose dose for the night, and, if the ears be sharp, perhaps a nightingale to bolster the delicate warblings with a most haunting melody in mid-to-low-tones...--all for him! This was so for any who were feeling sprightly; in the same way, no doubt, Katsuro would feel these in their daytime counterparts in the day; in the warmth of each hand he might come to shake over the next few days; in the way each mission on the boards was a guaranteed success; in the... --yes, well. Suppose this could be thought of as the dawning of a new day: Katsuro's day.
Perhaps most directly, in a name: Hideaki Katsuro: Shining Victory. And it was in his bouncing footsteps as he rounded the corner watched always by a lone, newly lit lamppost. His whistling died down, tipping a head to the girl there who seemed to have quite a lot on her mind to sort.
"Good evening!" cheered the prodigy in a tenor coo. Normally, he was not one to simply strike up conversation--he never had to!--but, help him, this was the night for it as starlight poured imperceptibly-palpably into his pores.

Lily Treinna Lily with Blood Blade Nine tailed Form _____________________________________________________________ Lily would sigh as thinking about this experience was just getting to her, causing stress, not like she had enough of stress in her life. soon she would hear a voice coming from the side, which made her eyes look in the direction of the voice, a human boy. "Hm...um good evening" she stated back to him wondering what it was he wanted, perhaps her experience with those others made her curious about what he wanted, normally she would just try and ignore them and walk away, yet she was responding.
The manner of the young woman speaking to him now, humoring him--the kitsune, rather, with ears of a fox and eyes that seemed to tuck away information in the most shrewd reflections of amber streetlight--was admittedly a little apathetic. At this moment, not fully understanding any meaning behind such a countenance, Hideaki felt a shiver off self-consciousness run up his spine; he smacked a hand up to the back of his head, wearing that apologetic smile he reserved for such situations. "Sorry, didn't mean to intrude."
"Wait... Have I seen you before?" Halfway between conversation and thinking aloud, the prodigy took chin in hand and shifted on his feet. He had joined the DMA the semester before, earning the notoriety he had been saddled with in his old (normal) school. Some of the names and faces of those who he met during that whirlwind quarter. "DMA?" he asked, seeking help.
Lily Treinna Lily with Blood Blade Nine tailed Form _____________________________________________________________ Lily just looked at him as he spoke up apologizing for intruding, though to her there wasn't much to intrude rather than just jumping into a conversation with someone whom didn't usually want to converse but since it was already a weird day with the others she really didn't even feel like mentioning that she she liked being alone over others. the next thing she would hear from him was that he believed he saw her before "i...don't think we have..." she stated bluntly with a raised eyebrow, her arms now crossed "definently not...I don't go to the DMA...DWMA is my current school...wont be for long though" she stated before sighing "I'm going to assume you go to the DMA then...since thas the school you mentioned"
And then he was left to reconcile that. Was he making a buffoon out of himself? No, he certainly hoped he was just imagining it. He cleared his throat. "Ah, yes, well--ya got me~" chuckled the sorcerer, attempting to be as unassuming as possible--raging success, mm? He absolutely reeled over the thought of not having someone approach him; this was, if you must, new territory for the both of them.
"I started last semester," he related with some reassurance, but then came to focus on her words. "... You say you're going to leave soon? Graduating, eh?" A smile came to his face, natural and warm as sunrise.
