(Ninja pot: Just waiting on Elesariin to post with Robin... Got something up my sleeve for my next post already... *Waits still*)

Yuriko's hearing told her that three men were coming up behind her. Their intent was generally clear, Yuriko just wasn't too sure as to whether this was an attempt of a straight up assault or possibly an attempt of human trafficking....

They simply didn't have any clue as to what they were dealing with.

Yuriko made the "mistake" of walking into an alleyway. That is when the trio made their move. Finding herself surrounded, Yuriko sized up her antagonists. By the look of them, Yuriko judged that they were eastern European -- she wasn't sure as to which nationalty. She did size up which one was the leader..

Yuriko heard the leader say something in a language she didn't know, and the two underlings tried to grab her. Deathstrike made her move.

Deathstrike hit one of the thugs in the chest, then extended her claws from her right hand directly into the thug through his heart and lungs. The second attacker's eyes widened as he froze in his tracks. Yuriko's left hand raked their claws through both of that man's arms, then swiftly across his voice box to silence his screams.

Quickly, Yuriko turned her head to view the third man who had backed up and drawn his gun to point it Deathstrike. Yuriko threw the carcass of the man impaled on her right hand at the leader who ducked -- exactly what Deathstrike wanted him to do.

She took the opportunity to slash through the leader's pistol with one hand and pin her claws into his shoulder with the second. This skillful strike was aimed to cause the most pain without causing too much damage -- at least nothing permanent. Yuriko swiftly kicked up with her left knee to the man's abdomen just below his diaphram to knock the the wind out of his lungs.

When this criminal's eyes refocused, he was staring directly at Yuriko's claws directly in front of his eyes. While hearing the dying gurgles of his comrades, Yuriko inched her face closer to the thug's -- grinning evilly, "I believe that you and I have a great many things to talk about. I require..... information."

((Sorry about that, dearies. I RETURN!!!))

Robin bristled, and he had to bite back a sharp retort; he had just finished explaining, in so many words, that he couldn't trust her, and now she was going to tag along anyway? Had she almost said his name? What did that mean? Was she supposed to be a Titan? And what was with that smile? Like he was some kind of lost puppy. "Catgirl, huh?" he asked her flatly, then paused. "...Alright. Come on," he added somewhat wearily, extending his arm and shooting up a grapple line to a higher rooftop. This was really stupid; he knew it even as he agreed to let her tag along. At least this way, though, he wouldn't be worrying about her location on top of everything else.

Arell stumbled around, the town definitely was a big change to the Swamps back home. Jesus Howard Christ . . . this joint's HUGE!! he thought as he walked down the road, lighting a cigarette as he went. He stopped shortly after seeing a guy climb up a large building with what looked like a woman. "Nah . . . that ain't King Kong . . . but I should investigate." he said to himself as he poked around the large building.

After explaining the terms of their 'relationship', Lady Deathstrike lead her newest associate, Anton Nicolescu, out of the alley and toward a low budget motel. Anton had underworld contacts with his Romanian associates. As far as the human trafficking and drugs that Anton dealt in, Yuriko didn't care. She needed access to the man's contacts to find the people she was looking for.

Anton, ever the opportunist, saw a way to save his own neck. He did get the impression that Deathstrike was a 'professional contractor, and the wheels began to turn in his head.

Once the pair reached the room, Anton ventured ambitiously, "You know, somevone of your particuuular talents would do quite vell here. I might be able to secuuure a few contracts for you while you are in Gotham."

Yuriko filtered through his accent, "Interesting, Anton. That does sound like a decent proposal, but remember: I am the last person you wish to cross, as your comrades can attest."

Anton calmly held his hands, "Of course, you needn't vorry about me forgetting that."

Yuriko smiled, "Good, you do well to keep that in mind. Behave, and you could stand to profit from my presence."

Anton smiled back, "Indeed. Assuming that you don't kill me, I believe that ve'll both profit."

Crystal took his hand then made a weird look as they took off towards the next rooftop. "Thats odd..." Crystal took the P.P.C. (Personal Palm Computer) and turned the volume on so he could hear.

Her computer that was actively scanning radio frequencies in the area, had just picked up the broadcast that was currently airing in Central City.

"In the 50’s, I controlled TV. But to see through it, to travel the network. I had to wait over fifty years for a techno-society sophisticated enough for my plans. And from the looks of things, it’s been worth the wait.

“Of course, it’s not the urban paradise of tomorrow we all expected. The future is like the present, only older.

“But there’s plenty new here now that allows me to further my aims and exact my revenge! You should’ve paid that million back in ’55, Central City. I wouldn’t hold such a grudge now."

Crystal looked closely at the signal and found that it was coming from the building that they were attached to. "Oh great. This one's old enough to be my great-grandpa... Wanna see what kind of goons he's got?" She grinned a bit, this was what she had been looking to encounter all night, a villain!

Robin glanced over at the personal computer with obvious interest. "I guess it can't hurt to check it out," he agreed, "... Do you recognize him? He's definitely not from my side of the universal mish-mash."

//*head banging on computer* This is just Russell's luck. He sends out a broadcast as a mcguffin, and it backfires.//

Chris happened to glance up and saw two shadows land on the roof of the power plant owned by 'Setec Astronomy' and shook his head, Oh great. They're right over the boss. Just what I didn't need.

Mr. Brooks pulled out a cellphone and began punching in a text message...

"I think we should look into it but sense I wasn't born till the 80's I don't know much about villains of that time period... Sounds kinda like Control Freak in a way though... 'I controlled television'" Crystal looked over to Robin.

"Hold on." Crystal did a quick search for this character on the internet and through the criminal database on her computer.

((Hey Skuld. What do we find? Sense you ARE controlling this one))

Crystal would find some old FBI files from the DC cosm. They describe an criminal known only as 'The Ghost'.

The Ghost, a criminal genius of the 1950s, was fascinated by the potential of television. He found a way to pick up images from television sets, enabling him to eavesdrop on and blackmail officials and businessmen. His personal flair was to issue his demands by TV, using his own pirate transmitter. In 1955, he and his sidekick Ghostess planted bombs throughout downtown Central City, rigged to detonate on his signal if the city did not pay him $1 million. A vigilante known as 'The Nightshade' entered his lair and jammed the signal...and the malfunctioning equipment burst into flames. The Ghost was never found, presumed dead.

Crystal also finds a recording of the TV Broadcast by the Ghost in 1955:

“It’s 10 to midnight, Central City and once again your mayor refuses to take seriously my demand for $1 million forcing me to keep my end of the bargain.

“So at the stroke of 12, downtown will go up in the brightest display of fireworks this city has ever seen.

“Think of me as you sift through the rubble. This is the Ghost wishing you all a very good evening. He hee hee haa haaahh!"

Robin resisted the urge to snicker. With extreme difficulty. "Okay... So we look for the nearest source of overly dramatic, stereotypically evil laughter and make him cry." Seemed simple enough. Nonetheless, he hesitated, reluctant to leave Gotham. This Batman problem wasn't exactly going to fix itself.

Chris Brooks finished his text message and hit send. Then, the experienced thug carefully made his way for one of the doors...

The Ghost noticed the chirp from his cellphone and looked at the text message:

"Boss, two capes just landed on your roof. SE corner. It might be the Bat."

Russell quickly donned his mask to complete his ensemble, "Gentlemen, we have company. Southeast corner. Jimmy, would you take some guys to check it out. And Brad, take two and do a sweep. There maybe others. Make regular check ins."

The Ghost received received several nods, "You got it, Boss."

Russell took a look on the monitors, flipping through different stations...

Crystal looked again at the signal and gasped. "He's inside this building. Seems he's using a maze of satellites and signal repeaters all over the country to throw off anyone hunting him down... If someone was attempting to track him down from Central City it would take them weeks, possibly months, to track him down..."

Crystal smiled at Robin. "Aren't we lucky?"

Crystal then heard a nearby camera move. She grabbed Robin and pulled off from the camera's view.

//Meh. Camera angles.//

The Ghost searched through the different camera views and found nothing. His eyebrows drew together under his helmet, Where are they? If this is Batman, his reputation is well earned. They've probably scouted out my cameras. Sensors then...

As Russell heard his goons report in, he also heard Chris tapping in -- not with words but with a series of clicking sounds.

The villian smiled at his right hand man's ingenuity, Morse. Thank you, Chris. "Everyone. Hang loose. You know your assignments."
