Good News Everybody! My brother bought a truck yesterday! He is getting the Tax, Tag, and Title squared away today before he goes to work, and we're going to start working on it tomorrow.
Bad news, it's a 1984 Ford Ranger, and it'll take a bit of work to be road worthy. I know very little about vehicles, but I do know that all the fluids need to be changed, and we might have to clean and flush the gas tank and fuel supply lines. The truck was sitting for a long time so the water's settled out of the gas, making the truck run really rough. There's also a belt that'll need replacing, damn thing squeals for a minute or 2 after you turn the engine over. If we're lucky we won't have to pressure wash the engine. I haven't seen under the hood yet, so I don't know how messy the engine compartment is right now.
Oh, and I can't drive the truck until I learn stick shift. sweatdrop

I'm terrified to learn, too, because I can't afford to buy someone a new transmission. sweatdrop

Well someone has recently! The powerball was at some ridiculous number like 180 million. And its back down to 20. (like 20 million wouldn't suffice!) Too bad it wasn't me! D:

Yeah I'm pretty sure I could handle a million bucks or so. I already know how I could spend about 100,000. And that would take care of a lot of stuff. Like, a house, a car, and most of another car. Bam!

burning_eyes stressed stare I really just need this person to leave me alone. Forever, preferably. Or at least back off until I'm ready to speak to them. Which could, indeed, be a while.

Sindeira Nice~ But you cannot win, if you don't play. *ish definitely not a gambler- type* ^-^; Yes, but the odds are overwhelmingly against it being you. The lotto is a tax on people who are bad at math. If I don't play, I win a buck. biggrin

I'd love to win the lotto, anything to get out where I am (this apartment, I mean). I prefer scratch tickets, not as huge the odds are against you.
