- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (Hmm, I'm thinking of having Lustrepaw go for med cat apprentice after he becomes a warrior, like Yellowfang...cuz he's just too soft to lay a claw on any cat XD)
[Lustrepaw watched in total confusion as his mentor replied curtly that his eyes were green, when they clearly weren't. Cinderstreak then started flailing around as though in pain...then biting his own tail?! Lustrepaw's eyes were wide as dishes as he stared at his mentor apparently breaking down in front of him, too shocked to say a word.]
This isn't Cinderstreak...what's going on?
[His mouth was slightly open, and his hackles instinctively rose to protect himself from his mentor. Slowly, he began to back away from his mentor, pressing himself into the ground as though hoping the earth would swallow him up. A few moments of silence later, he whirled around and began charging through the bushes in fright, eager to get back to the safety of the camp - and away from his mentor as soon as possible.]

"You young cats think you're so strong and mighty, when you're not as strong as me!" I growled at Night, almost lashing a claw at the air. I stopped though, remembering m apprentice. I sighed. I would have a lot to explain to him. Shaking slightly, I began. "Lustrepaw, I'm sorry. I don't know how to explain this to you, but-" I stopped, suddenly aware of Lustrepaw's growing stale scent. I spat a few curses, looking down at my paws.
Night snarled. Way to go genius, now he'll tell the whole Clan! They'll think we're crazy! They're bound to throw us out! There was a pause. And it's all your fault!
I sighed calmly. "I doubt he'll tell anyone. He wouldn't do that."
Says who?! My other self challenged, contempt in his throat.
Says I, I thought, half trying to convince myself. I sighed, and my muscles bunched up, and I took off after my apprentice. I called out. "Lustrepaw, come back!" I meowed, but not too loudly.
Night growled. You're being too slow! Speed it up!
My eyes narrowed, but I didn't say anything. I pushed myself harder, speeding upm but I was confused. The once strong scent of my apprentice was fading.
Mousebrain, you passed him! Night growled. I felt the inside of my head prickle as if he had struck me.
I slowed my pace, until I stopped, waiting for him to crash into me.
[ooc:] Poor Lustrepaw's probably traumatized. xD

[I nodded to the warriors, letting out a purr as my apprentice excitedly ran up to me.]
"Sure, Softpaw!" I said happily. "Me and Softpaw will head out on a hunting session. You guys better hurry up and catch up to us!"
[I beckoned with my tail for my apprentice to follow me. After we had bounded into the forest, I began searching for prey. I spotted a squirrel a few cat-lengths away and warned Softpaw to stop.]
"Okay, Softpaw," I murmured in a voice barely audible, my muzzle close to her ear so she could hear, "show me what you would do next."
(( @Cupcakes: I was thinking that after one or two more fighting lessons, and maybe one more hunting lesson, Softpaw would be ready for warriorship. |D What do you think? :3 <333 ))

[In the distant, Lustrepaw heard his mentor calling for him...but no, nothing would make him stop now after what he had seen. He had to get away from his terrifying mentor, and he had to get away now. Running blindly through the woods, Lustrepaw saw something gray suddenly loom out in front of him, then...
Crash!
He crashed into something furry and hard, and instantly recoiled in shock. His eyes widened even further, if even possible, when he saw his mentor waiting for him calmly.]
"G-Get away from me! You're weird and scary, and...and..."
[He stuttered a bit as he couldn't think of any words to describe his mentally unstable mentor who apparently bites himself just for fun. Backing away slowly, he prepared any moment to turn tail and run again.] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

My eyes were dull and tired as I looked at my apprentice, none of my real youth sparkling in them. My eyes shifted to my paws uncomfortably, and my pine green eyes returned to Lustrepaw's blue eyes. I smiled a little. "Please, young one? I'm not going to hurt you, I swear."

"What can be more important, apart from you being all weird and crazy and...I don't know! Why would any cat start yelling at nothing then biting themselves on the tail? Unless they're...I don't know, crazy! I don't want someone crazy as my mentor! What if I become like you later on? I don't want to bite myself!"
[Lustrepaw yowled into Cinderstreak's face, about to turn around and run...when he felt something heavy pinning him down. Instantly, he whisked around, only to see his mentor pinning him down by the tail.]
"Let me go, you crazy cat! Let me GO!"

[I followed my mentor out into the forest. Thunderflight stopped suddenly, she whispered to me that she saw a squirrel. I could show Thunderflight what I could do!] "Will do Thunderflight!" [I meowed softly. I slowly went down into my perfected hunter's crouch. I made sure I was down wind, my tail not sticking up, and all my senses alert. My paws slowly crept forward, as soon as I was close enough, I sprung. My paws landing directly onto the squirrel. I killed it off in a matter of time. I turned around and padded back to my mentor, the fresh-kill in my mouth.] "How was that?"

"Well done, Softpaw!" I praised cheerfully. "You executed that very well! I bet you'll win us some contests during the Apprentice Games."
[Suddenly, I heard the scream of a little kit. My heart dropped.]
"Hear that, Softpaw? Follow me closely, but don't reveal yourself. I don't want you to get hurt, and you may have to run back to Silverstar for help...so stay hidden."
[I quietly padded closer to the source of the noise and heard Lustrepaw screech at someone to let him go. I emerged from the bushes with a concerned look on my face as I recognized Cinderstreak holding down her apprentice.]
"Cinderstreak? What's going on?" I demanded, slightly bewildered, but firm.

I- I was cut off by a voice. We... Night growled. I rolled my eyes. "I mean we weren't trying to scare you." I growled, and let go of his tail. I looked down at my large paws, before my gaze fickered up to my apprentice once more. I had no idea how to say this! This terrifying, absured, maybe even crazy sounding news.
I began anyway, my tail twitching slowly, to show I was calm. I quietly ignored Thunderflight, not wanting to explain my accused insanity. I only gave her a look that said shut up. "What I, we, are about to tell you, you cannot tell a single soul. They might kick me out of the Clan because of it, and I, no, we, won't be your mentor anymore. Ever again." I narrowed my eyes, lowering my head until we were eye level. "Do. You. Understand. Me? I enunciated every word. I felt a fire burn in my belly, almost making me feel queasy, but I held strong. I didn't do what I wanted; to break down; to bawl about the pain that I had to go through every step in my life. To have to live with such a menace, pain in the a** cat.

Whisperpaw jumped to her paw's, and trotted over to Nettleslash. "Why are oyu over here so alone?" Whisperpaw asked, her deep blue gaze resting on him with curiousity. She had been just a kti when he joined them, but she had never really talked to him much.
