zfatal ((Well, come to think of it, there's nothing stopping Far from going with Hashmal, but she has to speak up, first.)) Jaeto suddenly thought to ask Callisto if she still possessed her Royal Artifact, one of seven, that were the equivalent of England's Crown Jewels. "Cal, do you still have that ring, the important one?" He asked. This could prove disastrous. If her ring(s) had been pilfered by the slavers, they would be forced to turn around. Unless they were extremely lucky... or, if Callisto had been extremely creative in the place that she had hidden it, Raedou would be very ticked off soon, once the news had been told him.

Ackune whined with hunger and thirst as Raedou urged the bison to continue trudging forward. As they passed the words drawn with blood that they came across earlier, Raedou noticed that the pile of bodies had disappeared.
'The Horde, no doubt.' he thought to himself, 'Blasted creatures. They spread throughout this land like a disease.'
Eopia was nearly in sight, now... There, they would find lodging for the night and plan out their next course of action. The Ganzi wanted badly to stop and feed Ackune, but from past experiences, he feared stopping for yet another break, cautious that some deadly event might take place once again.

Farfarello stared back at Jaeto, who had fewer teeth than before. He still wondered why he was in the front seat, and why the baby was still in his hands. Disgusted, the demon looked out over the side, wondering if the thing would survive being trampled by Accune. He could add a body back to the warning where it was supposed to be.

Hashmal mourned the lack of her sharp powerful blade. she looked up and announced, "I need a new weapon. One forged from my people..."

Raedou turned his head.
"The Draon are extinct, I thought." he replied, "Besides, we must get to Eopia for rest and supplies; we are clean out of food, and water. Plus, those blasted Horde beasts stole all of our equipment."
He then paused, because what he had just said was in one breath.
"If we spend another day out in the wilderness," he continued, "we'll likely go insane and kill eachother. I am sorry, knight, but your sword will have to wait."
He then snapped a look at Farfarello.
"Bean sprout." he said, "Don't hold your son like that. Cradle him, don't squeeze him."

((I could kiss you. Y'know, if I rolled that way. <<; ))
Jaeto had been ignored. He did not take this as a good sign. "Well," he interjected, "I don't see Hashmal as the type to actually need our help or support--or approval." In fact, he had no doubt she might just go back and wrestle one of those Velwyrms into a steed and go wherever it was her sand shrine-thing was at.

Cradle him? Farfarello thought, adjusting the child so that it was simply sitting in his la, his black arms strung limply around the child like the world's worst barricade, leaving the demon to wonder how.

Raedou laughed.
"Jaeto, my boy, that is for Hashmal to decide." he chuckled as he lashed the reigns, signaling Ackune to move faster, "But I am quite sure that a normal sword will satisfy her needs for now."
He felt somewhat awkward, talking about Hashmal as though she weren't there, when she was there, and listening.
"We are nearly there." he changed the subject, "We will reach the gates before the sun begins to set."
His attention was then caught a second time by Farfarello and his child.
"That's good, bean sprout." he laughed, "Now try rocking him back and forth."
-----
Perrault reached the end of the slide, where he hit the floor on his behind. Aching from his abrupt fall, the elf looked around for the demon girl who was with him.
"Myrrelda...?" he called nervously, "Are you there?"

A challenging look appeared on the demon's face, but before he could snap at Raedou, the still-nameless child groped upward and grabbed his hanging hair, yanking with all the force in his tiny body.
Farfarello screeched, ready to toss the tiny thing away.

((Wait for SPI, I guess, and then time-skip to Eopia.))
After Perrault had hit the bottom, the slide of light promptly disappeared. The two found themselves at the bottom of a tall ravine. Dark skies could be seen above. So, basically, rocks were the only thing that could be seen in any direction. The ravine trailed down in two directions--forward, and backward. It seemed to narrow in one direction, and widen in the other--suggesting what the probably path from here would be.
"I'm here," Myrrelda said quietly. She was looking up. No caves or crags in the rock wall could be seen--meaning climbing would be nearly impossible, especially since the demon would likely be carrying Perrault up. "I can't fly out of here, it's too thin for my wings," she said finally, then glanced down the widening path. "Looks like that's the only place we can go."

Raedou suddenly (and conveniently) realized that the child didn't have a name.
"Bean sprout!" he said to the demon, "You forgot to name your child."
-----
Perrault nodded his head nervously and stood behind Myrrelda, shivering with fear. It was very dark in the ravine, and we all know how much Perrault hated the dark.*

"Name him? What do you mean?" The demon said quizzically, holding the madly giggling child as far away from himself as he could reach.
((Far: neutral ))

Myrrelda impulsively stepped forward, leaving Perrault with no place to hide. "Come on," she said, ignoring his cowering, shivering form. "Stay behind me, and you won't get lost. I can see in the dark, after all."
Myrrelda then strode forward with what was, for her, normal walking speed: six miles per hour (whereas the typical human can walk, with ease, three miles per hour).
