Sabre liquified, caught his arms, and slid away from Helmsborough very, very quickly. Not much room to do it in, but room enough. Helmsborough had forgotten - he could hurt the Shadow, but he couldn't kill it in one blow. Probably.
Sabre, however, was not going to go aggressive again. Losing the body he could recover from; what Abaddon would do to his soul, he could not say.

Helmsborough thrust his blade at Sabre, releasing arcs of lightning that tore into its body.

((Siber, damn you, you're quitting the RP again?))
Joe joined Renard in healing the others. "Renard, right? I'm Joe. Not sure if we've been introduced." Joe would have smiled at him, but he was still eight feet tall, fiery, and had no face.

Renard grunted, forming the skin on Linda's face. It was lighter and smoother than it had been before, not that she would probably complain.

Joe decided to help by spreading a layer of healing energy over the two. It was thin and easily dispersed, in case it got in Renard's way somehow. Joe was prepared to pull it away or strengthen it based on his word.

Sabre swung out his arm, but not at Helmsborough; it snapped onto Arleen's arm, and she cried out again as lightning spat from his arm to her 'body'. Sabre wasn't sure how much he himself could take; he'd at least need a rest, and that's what his fellow shadows would hopefully do for him.

That was what Sabre expected to happen. It didn't. The lightning simply continued tearing into his body, crackling through the arm Sabre used to grab her and splitting it from his body. Helmsborough steadily advanced.

"Focus on him," Renard hissed, moving down to Linda's neck.

Joe nodded and powered up the healing field around Joshua. The energy fueled his body's natural process of restoring missing skin, accelerating it exponentially as well as reducing pain for the man. Joe approximated that he would finish at the same time as Renard.

Sabre decided this wasn't working. He needed a way out. He couldn't shadowstep; he'd never really had that skill, never taken the time, since direct travel was extremely quick for him anyway. Plus the Heart of Darkness would block him off. No, he needed his allies to make themselves worth their while. He slid back towards the other two, and they moved forward just as quickly, positioning themselves such that the lightning should have struck them as opposed to him.

The lightning inexplicably arced around his allies. Helmsborough seemed to have very exact control of the attack.

Okay then - distraction. Sabre almost whistled, and his two compatriots leapt forward, slashing at Helmsborough's head and chest. They didn't expect it to work, but at least he'd be distracted.

A blast of red light scattered them without interrupting the lightning.

Siber watched all the commotion with mild disinterest. He'd be getting out of here pretty soon, anyway. Summoning Jivat, he asked the dragonfly to begin helping with Linda's healing process. He flitted away to perch on the girl's face, little energy as Siber had for his Anahata at the moment. He wasn't a healing specialist, anyway. He went over and stood by Joshua's body, his arms crossed. Why? Why did they have to save Joshua? The guy had been possibly the least friendly of everyone he had envountered, including some of the opposing Warlocks. Keldan asked.
<...not in the least?>
But with that statement came that same ruffling of the hair sensation he had felt before, and a small grin flashed over his face before he stilled it again. They fell silent, and watched the embattled behind them.

'Nother strategy time, Sabre decided. He nodded to the Arleen and to his two compatriots, who were busy reassembling themselves, and they whirled back into each other. This time, though, they didn't come apart. Four different sets of features appeared on the same bulbous freak of nature, and the bulbous freak of nature seemed much more capable of taking Helmsborough's assault. At least, for the moment.

Helmsborough's lightning faded as he jumped into a slice, cleaving the Shadow in two.
