"Well hopefully it can be patched up and be brought back into it's full glory. Or I can always create a drug that will induce it in a man. Ooo...look now I have a seperate pet project to amuse myself with." She gave a laugh.

"Quick, find a tree and we can carve our names into it with a little heart around it and a pluse between names." That was a cute thought wasn't it? She could be so random at times. "I've seen many sides of you I'm sure not too many other people have, again lucky me."

Though she managed to sober herself a little at professional talk. "Oh...maybe two hours? Four at the most? He's running a bit behind schedule but was on priority flight." For a moment she set her glass on the table, running her finger around the edge. "Tell me...how does the military look at secrets?" Of course by military she was actually meaning him without having to say she was personally questioning him.

Blah, figured he would take that literally. He was a military man after all...seemed if she wanted to know his feelings on the subject she'd have to ask him directly and unveiled. "Oh...that figures I guess thought."

Then a smile across the table to him. "You just want to make out in the Colorado mountains." Which wasn't a bad deal to her at all really. In fact that was quite appealing to her. "I guess we could, sounds relaxing and you are always complaining how I'm overly worked."

A smile to him before she let him lead her as he may and set up the nice little scenery that was real and not at the same time. Jelena was sitting on a patch of genery in the whole little scene, leaning back on her hands with one ankle crossed over the other, just pretty much soaking it all in for a moment. Even smelled real.

She was considering if she wanted to tell him or not. It would be kinda nice to feel like she wasn't hiding everything in the world about herself from him...and it was nice to have it off your chest too. "If you could ask anything of me, and get a truthful answer...what would you want to know?"

She smiled, looking over at his little carving that she had joked about earlier. Men, they were cute at times when they wanted to be. Though a blink at his rather broad answer...that would be just like him wouldn't it? Then again she supposed that it was the smartest answer to the question now wasn't it.

"And here I was hoping you'd as a specific question to indeed force something out of me. I'm not the best at giving out personal information after all...only Erik knows a lot about me really because he's always been there. He really is like a brother you know?" For a moment, fingers played with grass that wasn't really there.

"I'm uh...going to need you, and Erik, and Lilia to run things in Echo for me for a while...I wont' be able to for a month or so, maybe more...depending on how long it's going to take me to relearn some things." Because when this first happened...she had to learn to walk and the like all over again. If James recalled correctly, he would remember her first coming to Fleet on crutches. "Camp thinks...that this isn't going to be cut and dry this time..."

She couldn't help but laugh a little at the Erik comment. They would forever be teasing him about getting eaten by an echo one day. Though she doubt he would get eaten...probaby too chewy.

Though as sigh as she thought about his question a moment, averting her eyes some in habitual thinking way. It was hard to pull out all the details from the fog her years of memory suppresent drugs had built up in her head. Though she easily knew the main point.

"Bad. Almost killed me...you know like it was supposed to. It was one of those old high powered rifles you know...collector's item. It um...pretty much tore apart almost all of my spine." She had to take a breath a moment, run a hand through her hair...hey this was all hard to revisit for her not to mention she didn't like secrets about herself getting out. And this was a doozy...considering that if most of her spine had been maimed...how could she walk and everything perfectly fine? "I pretty much had to learn to walk and everything all over again..you probably remember seeing me on crutches...though we didn't really see much of each other." Okay let's stop for a moment, let him digest a little and let her keep from tossing her meal.

"Bioware..." It was said kind of soft spoken as if they were in a crowd and she only wanted him to hear. In truth the whole middle half as as well as a bit of the top and bottom half, was all bioware. She was lucky enough she lived, not dying from sheer nerve damage. But all of that had been remedied on a week's worth stay on a base. Bones and joints had been replaced with metals, nerves with wires. Turns out it's hard for the brain to adapt to such things.

"Low grade, basic of basic bioware." Which meant cheap earth crap. Cheap earth crap that wasn't holding up to well..especially with all the strain she always put herself through. Not to mention that in her opinion, pain from bioware was a lot worse than pain from natural parts. Then a slightly guilty look to James. She knew he had a gospel about 'taking care of your bioware self'...and she hadn't had a single thing done in Meta in the past five years. Well...nothing known to Fleet crew. "So...that's what Camp is here about..."

She shrugged lightly. Honestly to her mind at the time and the way Meta was presenting itself, bioware was quick fix and long last. Not to mention Jelena was stubborn. "I don't know...nothign ever seemed wrong. Why fix something that isn't broken? It's a waste of resources. I've been fine." Until now. "Besides, I was given my own instructions on base."

Jelena was quiet a moment, again picking at grass that wasn't really there, but it was close enough and provided the distraction she needed. "Actually, he is a bioware specialist as well. He's one of the top in his field, combined the the medicine and science...he was a friend of my parents. He did the placement and fine tuning for me to begin with." Which was why he came up every year to Fleet to do her check up. Though she'd admit, she hadn't followed all of his orders either.
