I didn't want to post a non-entry in the Mother's Day Contest thread and mess up its prettiness, but I have to comment on Mia's entry: I love the tekteks and the poem! x3 Is that your 'big plan', or is there something more that'll happen?

Suze: I'm in more or less the same situation, but it really does depend on which college you want to go to. It's very much possible to save up to go to a state university with the residential discount that has a yearly tuition of ~10k within 4-5 years, but if you look at colleges like MIT with yearly tuitions of ~50k, it's insane and brain-melting and head-wall-bashing.
...
Meep.

turayza, yeah, I know with the whole in state thing. The bad thing is that the state I live in is because my dad was in the army and now my dad's retired and my parents won't move because I am in a special program where I get college credits for my engineering program early. razz So I am in a bit of a sticky situation. The college I want to to is 30k or so a year. I get extremely good grades, so I am praying that when the time comes, I will get a scholarship !

Today is May 2nd (Well at least here it is.)

And because I am such a fanatic, I am going to have a moment of silence.

Why, may you ask, because you might be tired or not thinking?
Because many of our favorite characters died on this day!
RIP Fred, Colin, Remus, Tonks, Severus, and many others. crying
But Happy Birthday Victorie! (Woop, go dorkiness!)

Congratulations on finding out the gender, Slytherin! razz

Suze, I'm sure the deceased fictional characters appreciate your "dorkiness." xd

Thanks for the congrats, everyone! heart

Scholarships are so hard to get now...bleh.
Oh yeah! Moment of silence.
/silence/
I miss them T__T Luckily, in fanfiction they live on (;

Yeah, it really stinks. Stupid economy and stuffers.

Hehe, I love my dorkiness. It brings me joy xd .

Hehe, yes indeed. I read a Fred fic this morning and now I'm reading a marauder era fic with Snape and Remus xd . Go fanfics!

Not sure yet on a first name, hoping we will stick with the name Gideon but for sure his middle name is Robert after his grandfather, father, uncle and cousin.
Thanks for all the congratulations.
Suze, I'm not sure if I'm going to have time to continue in the RP. I feel really bad about it but I just cant find enough time to read everything and then post in the RP. So if you find someone that would like to play my characters they are more than welcome to play them or you can just take them off and someone can start anew. I am really sorry if this puts the thread in a bind sad

Awhh, I like Gideon. It's cute xd .

Oh, it's okay. For now, I will just tell everyone to use yor characters when they need to and if you still don't find time with the baby being around and such (which I imagine you probably wouldn't, but just in case), then we could open your characters up to a new person. Does that work? biggrin

Yes thats fine Suze. I am terribly sorry. It's just now that its getting so close to this little one coming out I find that I'm scrambling to get things done and prepared intime for him to arrive.

Slytherin: Gideon is such a lovely name.. although I watched the Crow last night and as such am associating it with a not so lovely person... but it is a wonderful name@

Tura: Thank you, I now have a banner up too. I wanted it to be a sort of three part work. If you can't tell when you look at the banner, Mrs. Weasley's mothers day gift is a pair of earrmuffs because, let's face it, those kids are loud.

And my friend Kari was a senior a couple of years ago and she was so sick of finding scholarships she couldn't apply because she's white she typed in 'Scholarships for white chicks' and a site for the KKK came up. eek

If you have a son named Gideon you should have another named Fabian! wink

@Sly, It's fine, I understand. (Well not about having a baby, but being busy hehe.)

@Mia, really? Wow! eek . Most of the scholarships I have applied for are female engineering ones. smile I got lucky that a majority of engineers are male and that females are very rare in that field! (:

@Min, haha I thought the same thing!

Suze: I dunno, she got really frustrated. It was kind of funny, though. And I need to apply for more, but most of the ones that my school told us about are already past their deadlines. I don't know what to do...

*pulls out pom-poms*
Go, Mia!
Get a scholarship!
Woo!

Okay, that was a terribly boring cheer.... sweatdrop This is why I wasn't a cheerleader. stare But, whatever, you get the encouraging point I was trying to make, right? question razz

Suze, that's true; they aren't many girls that do that profession. Hopefully, you won't get too much rubbish for it at college. My friend is a tech major, and her classes have all boys, and sometimes they're berks to her. rolleyes

Mia: I go on specific sites where I have accounts. I make this profile and all that. One site sends me scholarships that applies to me that I could apply for. The other has some scholarships, but it is mainly for colleges to look at you and send you stuff about their college to get you interested. I already got something from Yale! eek

Min: In the course for engineering I take in my high school, the majority is males. They haven't tried to mess with me or anything else because me and one of the few other female students in my grade in this program have the two best scores in the class. biggrin !

Female Power!! razz
