Fate stopped and looked back, noticing that no one inside had noticed he had done anything. Being the megalomanical fiend he was could not take this sitting down. He walked back to the door, opened it and poked his head in. "Don't you people notice anything!" he whispered angrily while stopping the gas leak, if they weren't even going to notice he was trying to kill them he would have to save it for later.

Throughouly discouraged he walked sullenly back down the drive, as he reaches the edge of the property he shouted back, "You all suck! I'm going home..." He slouched into his jacket and stomped away muttering to himself. "Why doesn't anyone pay attention to me... sniff"

((Fate just wants attention, but everyone is ignoring me. crying Just have to kill you later.))

Sara looked up again and nodded. "Yea....she had these funky claws in her feet and hands. She shoved some wierd disk on my forehead...then I woke up staring at the ceiling." She said stifling a yawn. "No it wasn't Bink...or Blink...or whatever that maniacs' name was." She had been trying to pass off what had happened earleir as a haulucination. She smiled as Rogue shoved the food almost under her nose. "I love you." She said before starting to wolf it down. She payed no heed to the kid who had just left being more focused on her food. However the blowing of the lighbulb and subsequnt death of the refrigerator had her pausing to look at. "That's odd...." she sniffed the air. "anyone smell gas?" She asked frowning not smelling it anymore.

"Ack when will the pizza dude come!" Jillann thought getting very impatient and hungry just then the bell rang and Jillann shot over and opened the door very quickly hoping it was the pizza guy. Luckily it was, she took the pizza and paid cash and let the guy keep the change for a tip. He may have looked good butt she wasn't in the mood to flirt at all she wanted to feed her hungry stomach. She set the pizza down on the counter. "Foods ready!" She shouted as she pulled out some paper plate, 'god knows the dishes that would have been...' She though getting some of the meat lovers, it had the most cheese.

Conner watched Fate walk down the drive complaining about everyone at the mansion, he had noticed several bulbs blowing and the odd puff of smoke and shower of sparks on the mansion lawn as several security devices blew at the boy's passing. And he couldn't have missed Fate's harsh whisper either but decided to ignore that too. Conner fully realised that he'd let yet another chance at finding the brotherhood house go but figured that someone in the mansion knew where it was.

The young boy in front of him looked nervous still but nodded to Conners question. "Come on, the kitchen's this way." He beckoned and walked back towards the kitchen.

"Blink wasn't who I was thinking about," said Victoria, coolly. Letting the last bit of tea slide down her throat, she wiped her mouth clean with the back of her hand and decided on not pressing the topic any further. Sara, the poor girl, had been through even drama in her first day at the X-Mansion, that sparing her the details of a shape shifting, evil-mutant, even if she were dead, was the least she could do.

Ending the subject with nothing more then a shrug, Victoria eased herself up from her chair, crossed the kitchen and found herself in front of the refrigerator for the third time today. "Yup," she said, opening it up just to make sure it was, in fact, dead. "It's dead," she added with a groan before slamming it shut. "Either of you," she pointed to Rouge and Sara respectively. "Remind me to steal cash from someone so there'll actually be food in there to let spoil, next time."

Damon quietly followed Conner into the kitchen, his gaze trailing the floor, only shifting every so often to catch a glimpse of another hallway. His thoughts had dulled when he had thought back on what had happened. He hadn't wanted to relive that memory. It was far too fresh on his mind. He was able to recount every detail, every screaming person, every look of terror. Then, afterwards, the cries of anger as he fled into the nearby forest, too afraid to face any of those he once knew.

Why did things have to turn out this way? He could have endured the taunting and bullying before, the pain it caused welling in him but subsiding after a while. He just... wanted it to stop for a change. Wanted to be left alone... Why couldn't they have left him alone?

His head dropped slightly, his hair once more falling to cover his eyes. This time, he didn't bother brushing it away.

The kitchen, decorated accordingly as per its use, was of fairly large size and yet very comfortable in appearance. A large slew of cabinets, surrounding the usual heavy appliances. There were more teenagers here, probably not much older or younger than himself, Damon guessed.

As he entered, he noticed that they were all examining a different electrical device, each of which had seemed to short circuit. There were evenaquite a few blown light bulbs.

Not one to disturb someone, Damon stayed back, allowing Conner to enter before him. He then sidled in, remaining as near the wall as possible without clinging to it.

Sara finished wolfing down dinner in short order. "M'kay then." She said with a sig feeling much better having eaten. She was starting to perk back up again. "Ya know...if my Dad were here I reckon he could have fixed it right up..." She swallowed thinking on that a moment. "Forget that....I don't think ya'll want to wait a week for him to get it done." She said stifling another yawn as she glanced at the two who had just entered. "Howdy." She said as she gathered her blowls and took them over to the sink to rinse off. She sent a glance at Victoria. "I've got some cash on me..." Actually she had her bank debit card which was just as good.

Markus looked as Jilliann came in pith pizza. "Need a hand with anything?" He asked leaning against the counter as he watched her bustle for plates. Since the general announcement had been made he decided to help himself to a slice of pizza before it disapeared on him all together.

"Same here." Conner said as he checked the pasta bowl. "Sorry mate." he said to the new arrival. "looks like we're out of grub." He patted his back pocket and felt the familier and comforting mass of his billfold. "I s'pose a couple of us will have to go to the local supermarket or something." Conner walked to the fridge and grabbed the milk and closed the fridge door, he placed the milk on the counter and, with a confused look, opened the fridge door again. "Hey did any one notice that the fridge has broken?" He asked as he pressed his palm against the back of the fridge. "It seems all the electronics in this place are going haywire." He closed the door once more and filled a glass with the milk. "So it looks like a fridge and ten or twenty light bulbs are on the shopping list, let me grab a couple of things from my room and I'll go shopping; just give me a list of what we need." Conner necked back the milk and washed it, the mug he used and his plate before turning back for the door.

He caught sight of the boy he had met in the lobby and realised that he hadn't even intriduced every one. "Oh sorry mate." he said to the boy again. "Let me introduce everyone. That's Victoria, the southern belle over there is Rogue, I don't know you but, hi." He said, pointing to Sara. " And come to think of it." he said turning back to the boy. "I didn't catch your name either."

Damon fidgeted slightly, having been uncomfortable in a room full of unfamiliar people. They behaved as if they had known each other for a while, being casual and remarking each other equally. This served only to make him feel even more distant, secluded out of the others.

He glanced slightly at Conner, his eyes peaking through the strands of hair that covered them, before resuming their scrutiny of the floor. The question was simple, the answer even simpler, yet he was finding it terribly difficult to say anything at all.

But he couldn't just ignore the question. That would be unfairly rude to the people who were merely welcoming him. Gathering himself as much as possible, he attempted to form the word, but only half succeeded. His reply came out in a whispering undertone, barely audible that he had even made a sound at all.

"Damon..."

"Cash is good," said Victoria, raising an eyebrow curiously when Sara was kind enough to mention she had spare cash she was willing to donate to the provisions fund. She was even more pleased when Conner offered to do the shopping. "Eh, I don't think we need a list," she said, shaking her head as she crossed her arms over her chest. "If I or whoever goes with you, we should be able to manage. Oh, and keep your receipts, That way, one of the adults in charge can reimburse us for our troubles."

Biting back a smirk from that last one, Victoria took her attention off that of food and spending other peoples money just long enough to acknowledge the new recruit that entered the kitchen along with Conner. Although he could easily have been an older team member who she hadn't met yet (which was extremely likely) the boy's disposition and body language made his member status obvious.

"Nice to meet you...Damon..." she said slowly, waving politely as he hugged the wall opposite her. His voice was so hushed when he introduced himself that she doubted anyone else besides here would have heard it. Of course, she could have easily aped up the volume a few notches without breaking a sweat, but...seeing as Damon seemed to be of the extremely shy variety, she decided to hold off.

For now, at least.

"Don't have to tell me twice," grunted Lance, stepping forward as Jillian set the pizza boxes on the counter. Deciding to forgo plates altogether, he stepped forward, grabbed a slice from the box marked 'no olives' and shuffled away and out of the kitchen. What Jillian had did was touching and all, but he did not feel much like sticking around with teammates at the moment. There would be plenty of time for that in the near future.

Combing her fingers through her hair, the runaway glanced around the park she had decided would be her home until she found a job. It was the only thing she could, being broke and all.
'Oh, stop being mopey, Blade!' The short haired woman snapped at herself as she plopped down on a bench. The young woman, Blade, shoved her hands in her long black jacket and crossed her legs. However, she quickly pulled her hands out of her pockets and glanced around. She was begining to get restless.
"What to do, what to do?" Blade whispered to herself before glancing around once again. No one. 'Good.' She held her hands out in front of her and narrowed her eyes. Concentrating, a small puff of smoke appeared between her hands. Slowly, but surely, she began to move the smoke around her, careful not to breath it in.

He had known that his attempt to speak was somewhat of a failure, Damon's volume having faded into an almost mute status, so it was somewhat a surprise when someone addressed him as if he had been loud and clear. He looked up again, making eye contact for a few seconds, then dropped his gaze again, his unease returning again. This was incredibly awkward for him.

Damon nodded at the greeting, the first time he had moved since he had entered the kitchen. His feeling of being seperate from everyone else was only intensifying as their familiarity and openness with one another coninued. He envied it a little, having lacked that sort of straightforward nature with others.

Rogue shrugged off the strange person topic when she found out it wasn't Mystique. Although the person really did sound strange, and the claw bit reminded her of Logan. The topic changed as the kitchen appliances went crazy, and she stayed in the background of all the electronics talk. She didn't know much about that kind of stuff, and so, she kept her mouth shut.

Then, Conner and another new kid came into the kitchen. She remarked to herself about the sheer number of newbies that had popped up since she went to visit her aunt. She'd been gone a week or so and the poopulation of the mansion had doubled. However, she was still polite and waved as she was introduced to the boy who mumbled his name. Victoria managed to catch it though, so now they all knew that his name was Damon, even if he did seem ultra shy.

X-23 slept the restless half-sleep of the hunted. She woke up several times thinking she'd heard something, only to find it wasn't anything more than an owl or other night creature. And when she did manage to sleep a little, she dreamed. She dreamt of terrible things, of missions failed and of the punishments dealt out by Kimura. All in all it was a miserable night.

Blade let the smoke twirl around her as she held her breath when it passed in front of her. It would do no good for her to pass out or start tearing up for no reason. The young woman sighed after a moment and let the smoke disappear, swept up by the wind. She waited a few second more before she breathed again.
"God, this is boring." She whispered as she reached over and plucked up the bag she had with her. "Maybe I should explore Bayville some more." A smirk came across her face as she left the park, intent on finding something to do.
