Sakurai smiled, perched at the top of his advancing tree. "Now, now, can't we all be friends?" He said, smiling like a cheshire cat.
"You're my friend Saku-chan!" Yinko shouted playfully. She threw her arms up and yelped in pain. Her left shoulder still had the large hole in it as no one bothered to administer medical attention to her.
A look of concern plagued Sakurai's face. He softly ran a finger across Yinko's arm affectionately. "Did you fight again?" He asked her, leaning in so only she could hear him. He tone clearly depicted something that only the two of them could understand. The horror of being one of Ifuuki's many pawns.
Yinko nodded sheepishly. "Yeah..." she whispered, "Jin...and the twins... they died... I.. I couldn't save them...I couldn't do anything..." She looked like she was about to cry again, her happy mood crushed.

"Hey where is your smile going Yinko? Don't turn of your light, let it shine be happy." Musashi nudged her trying to cheer her up

Sakurai spoke without words as he pulled her into his shoulder, resting his head on top of hers.
Yinko cried for her lost comrades. Deep inside she knew they were finally free of Ifuuki's terror.

Flashback
"And that's how you tie the bait on." Jin replied with a deft flick of his wrist. He held a grandfatherly air as he taught Yinko his fishing tricks. He certainly loved her like a granddaughter.
Yinko flicked her pole into the water and flinched again when the pond began to freeze over. Jin laughed. "It's all right. We'll just ice fish now."
Yinko looked up and giggled. Then her face clouded with concern. "What if Ifuuki-dono finds us again?"
Jin shook his head, the whipping scars on his back flared up again when she brought up the subject. "You just let me worry about that..."

Ahh jeez Musashi thought This poor child and Sakurai he knows more about her... what they've been through i may never comprehend, but one thing I do know.... whatever has happened to them I will never let happen again.

Musashi inched away to give them their privacy. He knew that they need this mooment and perhaps many more like this if either of them ever wanted to be truly happy.

The group from the temple battle approached the gates of Konoha looking harried.

Though must of the group rode on a giant crocodile, Onryou walked in front, carrying the unmoving body of Hyuuga Shinji. Once they reached the gate Onryou exchanged a few words with the guards before they were let through.

Ayame, who had since delivered Shinji's messages to both Rin-Tao and Ganeni over the journey, had only one more duty to fulfill to the dead Hyuuga. She slid off the mount and walked to Onryou, saying, "I must go to the center of the city and speak with some of their council to track down this brother of Shinji's. Though his messages for his fellows were mostly for personal reasons I feel that his gift for his brother may be of a more paramount importance."

With a nod, Ayame disappeared in a swirl of leaves, headed to the council chambers.
Superior shook hands with Fuuma Tei, as if they had been in conversation for at least over an hour. "I thank you Tei. But yes, if you see any of my Kandachime please contact me. I have a feeling that they will turn up here. Thank you again for all you've done." He said and Tei simply smiled. He stood up to leave as Ayame entered the room.

Ayame paused for a moment before said said, "Kandachime?" in a quizzical tone.

She gathered herself and asked again, "Are you of the Kandachime?" This time she spoke at superior, not to the room in general.

Ayame began with Rio's arrival in the Kadou region and their hunt for the kusanagi, explaining everything she could in explicit detail. From the fight in the cavern that exploded into a mess of combat and shrouded the whereabouts of Sabu and Muuga, to Onryou's fight with Ifuuki, to the false kusanagi. She ended with the death of Shinji at the hands of Yang Tao Eiju.

"I'm afraid I don't know everything, but that is what I experienced and what I gathered from most of the other combatants that fought with us there."

Ayame was unsure if she should mention it, but considered there was probably no person who would know better. "I must ask, do either of you have any information on the location of Hyuuga Shinji's brother, I must speak with him at the departed's request."

Musashi stared off in the distance studying the surroundings. He smirked seeing that they had bypassed Boarder Town and were more than half way to Konoha.

My how fast are we going? This is some first class ride. We'll make it there long before evening! Sakurai's skills are promising! Musashi's mind proclaimed with wonder.

Karai moved suddenly, he sprung high into the air, his entire body lurched upwards, his center of gravity dragged him up, his maneuver lifted him perfectly.

"Sakurai..." He smiled, his amber eyes glistened in the sunlight.

"Welcome home..."

"Let us strike now, let us move with the element of surprise..."
the spirit seethed.

"No, it's going to be a fair fight..." Karai told himself.

"LET ME RIP HIM TO PIECES!"

"I owe him more than that... I owe him more than a brutal murder..." Karai finished, the spirit was silent.

"Come, my friend. Let us finish what we began long ago." He grinned, landing atop a tree and slicing it with a kunai.

"Let this be my signal- I know you'll feel this." He slashed deep into the wood.

They are safe, with my comrades from Kadou, though we may well need to discuss this complication with the Mai girl, it would seem that she is a rather important player in all of this whether we or she fully understand what role it is she is supposed to fulfill. The group that fought at the temple will themselves come here soon, most are worn and I needed to resolve this death right issue as soon as I could, so i came ahead."

Ayame stretched her arms as she said, "I must be on my way to Yuenji's location then, I bid you fair well." Ayame had barely finished when she disappeared in a swirl of leaves.

-------------------

Ayame arrived at the Hyuuga compound shortly and walked through the front gates, the guards eying her, but deciding she was not hostile. She roamed the streets for a moment before finding a small map on a corner of the compound and located the manor of the main branch.

She made her way to the building and was stop this time by the guards outside. "State your business," one said curtly.

"Mine is with one called Yuenji-san, I have a message and gift from a kin of his. I believe it is imperative he receive it."

Tobasu stood infront of the gates of Konoha and he waited for everybody to enter it after they have gotten the ok sign. Everybody walked with their heads hanging. The mood wasn't too great. Eventhough Tobasu dealed with many deaths of people he knew it was never easy to see someone die. Especially if a young promising person.

He walked up to Rin

"Rin..I'm sorry...for your loss." Tobasu said perhaps a bit monotone. He didn't mean that but it's just how he deals with situations like this.
Rin turned away from him. "Don't...just...don't. He knew...he KNEW he was wounded...why..." She was still very much unsettled.

"Because he believed that he had to do that. He believed in his ideals and forgot his own wounds and faced the enemy. He died..trying to make this a better place" Tobasu replied with a little bit more emotion.

Yuenji had just stepped the manor entrance, adorned with purest white robes, sporting Konoha's jounin flak-jacket over it. His face was extremely similar to Shinji's apart from the fact that he had a permanently bitter look, in contrast to Shinji's warm features. His hair was tied back, the palest blonde imaginable. His ears perked up when he heard his name. "Me? What could you possible want with me?" Yuenji asked, quite sourly, placing a hand on the guards shoulder, a signal for him to move aside. Yuenji stood face to face with Ayame, he looked down into her eyes, with a subtle fierceness.
