Deoridhe I just realized that when I think "Good Lord" I think of the Dagda and Lugh, in that order. My brain is weird. I like the way you said "The Dagda". I am tired of telling people that Dagda is not a name, it is a description. It means "the Good God" or "An Dea Dia" but his name is Eochaid Ollathair.

So my flute teacher gave me these ridiculous tone-building studies that have you leaping really awkward intervals like augmented compound octaves. Fortunately, the composer's name is Bitsch so I get quite a nerdy kick out of yelling obscenities at the sheet music.
She also attempted to throw the Berio Sequenza for flute at me. You know, the one that's so hard he invented a whole different system of notation for it. He wrote one for nearly every instrument. They're designed to be the most difficult pieces ever written. I'm hoping she forgets by next week...

After all, if she gave you something that difficult, she evidently thinks highly of your skill and talent with the instrument.

(The wolf or doggy pictures) [I've never seen a wolf in real life, just a timbrewolfXhusky dog] I though you were all having a costume partay or something? No costume pics? cry Wolfhaven I believe was the palce, and those were Wolves. surprised We even got to hear one starting a howl. It was quite lovely. heart Costumes were only on one day as I recall, and there is a scientist picture or two. 3nodding

If I could chose a God, it would be the Dagda. Unfortunately, Annan and Léadain got there first and they're kinda possessive.

Now I'm all tempted to say, "The Dagda" instead of "Good God". whee I think too few people would get the joke to risk the blasphemy, however. Baldr tends to be cited as the Norse "Good" as in opposite-of-evil God, but I've never really bought it. We know so little about him; I get a white sheet in the face when I try to interact with him. He's the only one who knows the 18 runes other than Odin; I have to admit to being a little jealous, even if he did have to die in order to get them. ...as a cya note, no, Odin, this is not an invitation. stare And if you're listening, swing by my place tonight and bring your Blood Brother; I've got some 18 year old whiskey with your names on it.

Hmm... I should likely try to get the main theme to The Never Ending Story out of my head... as it has been stuck there for well over 3 days... but I think I don't actually mind it so much... 3nodding

Tattered one, what is so banefull about school? sweatdrop Says who? surprised Oh, you mean I'm out of the shell? Yes... when I am in the shell, it means I'm away from Gaia, when I can post with regularity, I am quite adroit and often wearing green.... almost invariably with Vulpine features displayed. 3nodding

I could do without the last two minutes of it, though, and the book is ages better.
