As he watched Herald and Emma cut their cake, Kain's mind would suddenly flashback and an image of his first partner would appear in his mind. Akumu, the first person he had ever loved. They were friends, lovers, partners and eventually fiances. Kain had proposed to her and they were set to be married. However, before they could even plan the wedding, Akumu would be taken from him, by a demon. Her death scarred him and caused him so much pain. Seeing Herald and Emma, Kain was thinking back to what could have been. Still not truly over Akumu's death, Kain would place his hand on top of Shira's lap. "Shira, you remember the day we first met and became partners?" he would ask, "That day was the most important day in my life. Of course you know that two weeks prior, Akumu, my first partner, had been killed." he stated. Shira could tell that Kain still felt for Akumu and that was something that would never change. "But, what you didn't know was that one day before you and I met, I had attempted to kill myself." This was something that Kain had never told anyone, not even his family knew about this. This one secret was something he kept from everyone, except Shira. "The pain of losing the love of your life. The feeling of despair and helplessness, combined with the guilt and sorrow. It all overwhelmed me and I wanted it to go away, so I decided to end it all." As he spoke, Kain's voice was, oddly enough, calm and soothing. "I had given up on love and happiness." Kain wouldn't tell Shira how he survived his attempted suicide, but from what can be inferred, it is safe to assume that Kain hesitated when the time came. He was too afraid to die, but didn't want to live. Kain thought of himself as a coward. "However, all that changed, once I met you." Looking over at Shira, Kain smiled, "The day we met, was the day that you saved me from my loneliness and pain and each day after, that hole that was in my heart, began to fill with love." Kain continued to smile. "Because you were there, I was able to live longer and see this day. I'm surrounded by my friends and family and even got to witness one of my best friends enter into the next part of his life, with the woman he loves." Kain suddenly tightened his grip on Shira's thigh, slightly, "I may not show it, but I am truly happy that you've been by my side. I honestly can't imagine myself without you there. Back then, right now and in the future, you will always be in my heart. I will always love you, in this life and the next, Shira."
Shira had finished her food then and watched quietly with a small smile on her face as Emma and Herald moved on to cake. Feeling Kain place his hand on her lap, Shira glanced up at him as he began talking. Her expression eventually turned to one of worry as he admitted to wanting to kill himself the day they met. On the day they met he hadn't seemed to be injured... physically at least... She had no clue that the death of his former partner had hit him that hard to the point of not wanting to live. Shira's expression softened finally and she placed her hand over his hand that was on her lap. "I am glad you told me," she replied. "I am glad that you didn't die that day. Because of you, I have been able to become a stronger person. You have also become someone I can't imagine being without. If you ever feel like that again, no that no matter where I am, I am here for you and rooting for you. I am sure Akumu is rooting for you too no matter where she is." Shira squeezed Kain's hand slightly with her own as she smiled softly up at him.
Hearing Shira, Kain would squeeze her hand, tightly. After everything that they've been through, he and Shira were still together. Their bond, which has been tested over and over again, has only grown stronger and become like steel. From the moment she came into his life, Shira had always been his light, his pillar of hope and his world. Seeing the look on her face, Kain couldn't help but to smile even more, "Thank you for being with me."
Shira continued smiling up at Kain before leaning up and kissing him on the cheek "And thank you for being with me," she replied back. Her gaze shifted to Herald and Emma then as she thought quietly to herself before a smile reappeared on her face again "I have a feeling we will be next to be like that... To look at each other like that," she commented as she continued holding Kain's hand.
As Shira kissed him on his cheek, Kain would return the kiss with one of his own, on her cheek. Looking back at Herald and Emma, Kain agreed to what Shira would say. "I believe that as well. Though from where I sit, we already look that way." Kain joked. As he did, the man would reach into his pants pocket and grip the ring box, that he had carried with him. After speaking with Herald and Eric on the matter, Kain had planned on proposing to Shira. Though, something in him was keeping him from doing it. It wasn't because he didn't love her or want to. No, Kain wanted his proposal to be meaningful and memorable. "One day, you will be standing there. I promise."
Shira muffled a small laugh "Perhaps we do," she replied. Hearing his promise, Shira moved and rested her head against Kain's shoulder while rubbing her thumb across his hand. "I will hold you to that promise."
Herald smiled as he looked down at his embarrassed bride. He then reached down and took the cake knife using her hand with his over it. He then lifted it up to the cake. "We'll do it together," he told her. He then brought the knife down with her, cutting off the first slice. He held it up to her mouth, gently pressing it against her lips for her to eat.
Once Emma had eaten her bite, he heard a familiar voice behind him. He turned around to see Sarah standing behind him. He didn't seem surprised to see her, though that was because he could sense anyone entering his realm; he had made it after all. He was surprised when she first entered, but knew there was surely a reasonable explanation for it. They had gone to the future, why shouldn't the future be able to travel to the past? "Thank you," he told her with a smile, genuinely glad to see her. "I'm sure you're glad to see that you're well on your way to existing."
The Reaver smiled as he watched Ellise get embarrassed. "Just food for thought," he teased.
Jessica returned Lily's smirk. "Oh, just a nice big chunk of your soul!" She teased, poking her on the cheek. "Like you were just saying, it's not that important, right? Especially since only perverted guys are out there."
Scarlet gave a brief shrug. "It certainly is mysterious isn't it?" She agreed. "And who knows how it will change again? All we can do is play the best hand we can and hope our opponents have a worse one."
Miss Mortem blushed when Melanie asked her about a hypothetical Mr. Mortem. "I-I know of no such person!" She told her, an embarrassed look still on her face. "You've certainly become quite the cheeky little Nurse since your training days," she added.

☽ Emma smiled up at Herald before cutting the cake with him. Once they had the first slice ready and Herald held up a piece for her, Emma opened her mouth and family ate it. The cake was terrific in her opinion. Her attention, along with Herald's, went to Sarah then as she approached. Since this realm wasn't hers, Emma couldn't exactly sense when someone appeared in it. She had a great sense of smell but due to the huge amount of people and how similar she smelled to her and Herald, Emma didn't notice. With that, she stared in surprise at Sarah for a moment before smiling happily over at her "Thank you," she replied to her daughter. She glanced at Herald then the cake for a moment before taking a fork and cutting a small piece and standing on her tiptoes, holding it up to Herald with a grin. Seeing her parents smile at her, Sarah couldn't help but grin up at them, her nerves quickly disappearing. She laughed as she heard her dad "Yeah, that is pretty relieving," she said with another giggle and she scratched the back of her head. Emma would look at Sarah then "Was the wedding the reason you came all the way here?"she asked. Sarah looked down at her mom. Sarah stood a good eleven inches taller than her. "Uh... well part of the reason. Amber, Alexis, and I came to make sure things went well for you guys... all the details are for another time though," she said with a small smile in which Emma nodded in reply with a grin still on her face. Sarah's ears twitched then "Oh right! You guys should meet Amber. She is here too!" Sarah turned and motioned for Amber to come over with a big grin on her face. Ellise smiled slightly as she continued blushing "S-Save that talk for later," she told him, muffling a small laugh. Mirai smiled over at the couple as they seemed to like the cake. She looked at Texas then "Would you like to get some cake now?" she asked, standing up then.
Location: Reception with Scarlet. "Play the best hand huh? I wonder..." Misty paused, setting her eyes on the married couple which took the task of delivering one another a delightful slice of cake which made a few guest, Zoey among them, to sigh on the fairy tale illusion that momento brought upon those who looked up to them. A gente smile was placed on the brunette's lips observing the opening act before drifting into her thoughts for just a bit. "... maybe Jake is the best hand..." She mutered to herself, not knowing she was thinking loudly in front of Scarlet. As such, Misty would turn at the magician, more calm, and casual. A complete change. "I would love to believe life has been treating you well during my absence." Misty even smirked back at Scarlet. "Did you missed me?"
Location: Reception Zoey was happy for the couple, the detail of sharing a slice of cake was one of the moments she always looked up to. After all, that would mean she would get to put her hands on the delicious treat the couple had just tasted in a couple of minutes. There was however, something magical between Herald and Emma, something she couldn't actually describe. But boy she could feel it. slightly Jealous at some point, Zoey diverted her gaze from the couple to avoid diabetes from sugar overload with every momento Herald would look at Emma and Emma at Herald. Drifting her gaze, she spotted both of her sisters busy, and even Kain had his fair chance to speak with Shira, who looked gorgeous and adorable on that dress, which Zoey totally didn't stared at her for more tan 10 seconds straight.
Flustering once more she decided to walk out a Little to "relieve" her spirits, taking deep breaths of air to cool her head down, and observe the floral ornaments to distract her thoughts for a momento..
Location: Reception with Nurse mortem and Kyubey
As Miss Mortem denied the existence of the prestigious Mr. Mortem, Melanie snickered and played along. "Oh..." Said Melanie as if she was surprised, followed by the redhead's hand which gracefully reached for the sleeve of the dress. "Are you telling me you only got this lovely dress for the wedding? here I thought you brought your best weapon to fit into the wedding, but to keep Mr. Mortem entertained as well." Smiling with a giggle after being called out by Mortem, the redhead replied. "I had such a good teacher, I couldn't help myself but be inspired." Said Melanie with a wink back at Mortem, it would seem she was going to tease her nonstop if Mortem didn't reacted quickly.
____________________________________________________________ Location: Reception Room Lily chuckled "Well to be fair it's not...i mean i have a human and kitsune soul...so yea it doesn't and i dont mind sharing it...since in all fairness it would make you family...and you would have to deal with my mother too" she said smirking back at her.
Amber Hunter Trienna Location: with sarah Amber would watch as the cake was cut, she would clap with everyone whom did it, though her next vision sight would be to Sarah and her attempt to talk to her parents, it seemed to look like it was going well. the next thing she noticed was Sarah motioning for her to come over, or was just making the hand movements, but she decided to go with the first idea. she would getr up and start walking over to the table, when she got closer she would give a smale wave to them "u...um hi"
Hearing Shira, Kain let out a small laugh, "Well, you know that I'm one for keeping my promises." Kain joked. Then, along with Shira, he would watch Herald and Emma, finally cut the cake, in which he would applaud. Once that was over with, Kain would notice someone approach the newlyweds. It seemed as though she knows them, but Kain had never seen her before. Then, yet another person would join them, this one being a little child. "Shira, do you know who those two are?" Kain asked curiously.
Shira muffled a laugh then"True," she replied, as she too watched Herald and Emma for a few more moments. Once Kain said something about the two that were now up there talking with Herald and Emma, Shira paused for a moment. The one girl with the cat ears looked familiar... Shira used her soul perception then and only then recognized her. "Oh... That's their daughter," she said, a bit surprised that that was a thing. She had heard reports about some of the DWMA being dragged back to the future again, this time with a different outcome, but someone coming from the future was new. "I... don't recognize the younger kitsune though... but her wavelength reminds me of Eric's," she said, eventually glancing up at Kain.
Hearing Shira, Kain let out a small laugh, "Daughter!? Well, that explains why I can sense the same aura around, like Herald. She must be pretty strong." At this point, Kain wasn't surprised by the fact that she was from the future. Though that does begs the question as to why she came from the future to begin with. He doubted that it was just to see her parents get married. Looking at the other one, Kain would see a kind of resemblance to Eric as well, though he didn't wish to linger on that any further. "Shira, I think that after we're done here, our lives will become hectic once more." he teased.
"Yes, if I recall from the first time we went to the future, Herald and Emma have an older son as well as her," Shira said with a smile. Sarah was definitely a few years older here compared to when she saw her in the future timeline she went to. She was still there though so that at least meant Herald and Emma were on track to having a family together. Shira glanced over at Kain as he teased her "Er... you mean about opponent wise or...?"she asked, wondering what he was implying.
Kain smiled as he listened to Shira, "Both, actually." he stated. For a moment, Kain would get serious, "There is a reason why they come from the future. I can only gather that it has something to do with an future enemy or disaster. I'm positive of that. There is no way that they came here just to celebrate this wedding." With that little bit out of the way, Kain would go back to a more jovial mood. "Also, I remember that future as well and correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't we also have a child around her age?" he asked.
