The hit would part her winds ....as she felt that claw against her chest. A dull thud, but there would be nothing more than that ....as she smiles lightly. No she wasn't some pokemon easy to defeat as she drove her wings forward again ...her winds behind her stroke as the vortex would swerve forward.
This close up ...she was planning to completely crush the pokemon in front of her with her Ominous wind.

Though the attack hadn't broken through her defensive the first time, the Drillbur wasn't willing to simply give up due to that. Her claws would take on a glow as she would swing with the one that had been buried in the dirt perviously. Her claws seemingly to gain eve more strength as she does a full spin around even as the winds would hit her ...she aimed her own counter-attack. Another strike at the pokemon's chest, this time she was going to hit through her defensive and make it clear....that they wouldn't be able to capture a single pokemon here.
That there was nothing that she could do but move onwards with her victory ...with this defeat.
This was her crushing claw attack ...the one that crushes not only her opponent, but their hope.

(18 - 7 + 9 - 12 = 8 dmg/2 = 4dmg + -1 to Suzaku's defense)
This time the attack would cut through ....as she was sent higher into the air. Her wings would spread wide ...as she arch upwards a bit and actually came crashing back to the ground in pain. What kind of a place was this? Nakano heard the sound of steel crunching into the ground ....and her eyes narrowed.
So far, they had been getting their tails handed to them by every pokemon here.
And it would seem that this was no different.
Anger flared then ....as the girl but there wasn't much they could do as she calls for her defense. The Skarmory standing back up with her wings around her like a huge shield.

The pokemon almost wanted to laugh ...she was still on the ground. They were still on the ground, and that meant that it was easier for her to attack as she would clambour out of the hole completely. The Skarmory landing a few feet away ...as she looked at her claws. This time they were bloodied and she smiled at the fact.
This might be easier than she thought as she came at her opponent again ...claws out and ready as she would once more charge forward with another Crushing claw.
There would be no mercy from her ...none at all.

Again the attack hits ...the pain would send her down to one knee. Her eyes closed in pain ...as she tries to glare in the face of this opponent. The one whom had attacked her ....as blood hit the sands from the wound to her chest being widen. Like an X ...she couldn't believe this was happening to her considering she was merely facing a ground type, but everything she did. Everything she tried was met with failure, and she couldn't stand that failure ....as her eyes glared dangerously.
She needed to hit back.
"This ...this is horrible."
"Use Ominous wind again."
Nakano would yell out. She was beginning to feel that everything was spinning further and further out of control. If this didn't work ..she looked at the hole longingly. She might have to actually retreat.

The Drillbur would smirk at her own claw. She had drew even more delicious blood, and her opponent was being brought to her knees. The metal bird should have tried to fly away, but staying grounded meant that this attack was all hers. The pokemon bringing her claws together in front in a form of defense against the winds that threaten to pick her up and throw her.
Yet, she wasn't going to be moved ...not one inch.
She drew her feet into the soil and was tempted to laugh in the face of her attack.

It would happen then ...and they almost cheered together. The first time an injury that wasn't theirs would happen as the girl made a decision. She was going to capture this pokemon ...she was going to make this pokemon hers ...as she stood her ground.
A Drillbur that could do that much damage to a Skarmory ...and not only that, but last as long as she had. There wasn't a question in her mind, she was going to make this pokemon her own and then she was going to do the same with that Vulpix. She would make each one of those pokemon her strength so she wasn't going to back down ... not one bit.
Suzaku was breathing hard. A bit relieved at having finally hit as she would once more stand on the defensive. Her wings drew around herself in a defensive stance ...her wings drew around her.

Though this wasn't to be the end ....as the Drillbur seemed to laugh at her efforts. One little cut and they acted like it was something to celebrate ....no she would show them blood ...and blood in spades as she came forward again.
her claws down and to her side as she would once more use ...Crush claw. She was going to end this Skarmory's fight ...here and now.

The attack would be her undoing as the Drillbur would literally drop the Skarmory where she stood. The girl's mouth was open as she watches as the metal bird collapsed, and move to recall her.
This was ridiculous. She had lost, and lost again. And she gritted her teeth. She had no other choice, she could try and capture this pokemon or run away. And she was leaning more towards the running ....so close. She had come so close to losing the life of her starter, and with such a complete failure there wasn't much choice for her now.
She would have to retreat, but before she did. She would line up her arm and make a throw. One last attempt ...one more chance to try and capture that Drilbur and maybe after that ...the Vulpix.

Behind, Six would find, was a rather apt description. The moment the child had pulled his foot away, had dared to turn his back on the creature looking for a meal, he would feel an incredibly sharp pain in his rear. Deceptively agile for one of it's kind, the Tirtouga had jumped up, and snapped it's beak like mouth onto the child's buttocks. Indeed this turtle was hungry, and as he had been from the very moment of entering this forest, Six was on the menu.

It was pure luck that it would happen then ...as the pokeball hit the Drilbur the pokemon would be drawn inside. The pokeball hitting the sands as it rocks once, twice, and one final hard third time before going still.
Nakano had had one pokemon faint, and it would seem that her luck had turned around slightly with the capture of the second. She would at least not totally fail her assignment if she had to turn back around at this point.

Nakano wasn't sure what to say, but she had at least managed to make the capture. She would go to retrieve the pokeball and the pokemon within. Much stronger than she had thought it would be upon capture ...she would simply put it away for now ...even as she recalled her down Skarmory back into her own pokeball.
She still had one left, and her target hadn't change as she would slip down the now widen tunnel. She was going to get that Vulpix, the exact same one that she had fainted.
This wasn't over ..not by a long shot.
(Do I roll for this, or is it not possible to get that Vulpix now?)

((And with a roll like that ...how can I say no. Fine, but it won't be easy .... twisted ))
The Vulpix would rouse as he turned to see that the girl was back. His friend and protector was missing, and he could only guess her fate. And he shivered lightly as he tries to stagger back to his paws ..he was so weak, but he wasn't going to stay that way ...as he would stumble backwards a bit. He had hidden one in the tunnel incase it was needed, and he was going to use it now as he would nose out the Sitrus berry.
Gulping it down quickly ...he would stand ready for battle once more.
He wasn't going to surrender nor was he going to allow himself to be so easily captured.

The girl almost cheered as she looked down and saw the movement of the fox. Even as she saw what he was doing ....a Sitrus berry, he was restoring his strength. And she didn't have a Skarmory this time to fight as she looked at the new pokeball and smiled lightly.
Friend vs. Friend ...quite the suitable ending.
The pokeball held outwards pointed at the pokemon she was determined to make her own.
"Let's go for it." "I am going to christen you ...Pooka."
She declares as the Drilbur would appear and almost face fault in the same moment. What kind of name was that? Though there wasn't much she could say about it ...as she looked to see that it was the same vulpix she had been trying to protect only moments before.
A smirk came on her face as she would point a digging claw at him.

She declares dangerously.
She was more than ready to beat the hell out of the fox that made this all possible.
