the anti-authority @Uriel; It all makes sense. You shall see. ; 3 Jade - Malkuth Military. Anise, Tear, Ion - Daathic Military and figurehead. Luke - Duke's son from Kimlasca. Guy - Servant of Kimlasca. NO SPOILING IT FOR HIM. D : Van - Daathic. 6 God Generals - Daathic. Basically what's going on right now is this. Daath is divided into two sub-par factions. The reformist Fon Master party, which consists of part of the order that strives for peace by all means possible. There is also the conservative Grand Maestro faction. The figurehead of that is Grand Maestro Mohs. Basically, it's said that the Commandant, Van, and the God Generals serve directly under the Conservative faction. The fact that Tear is with the intelligence division also groups her in with the "Mohs" faction. Though she said she's neutral, it's rather hard to believe her on the subject when she can't divulge any classified information, which makes her suspicious. Once you make it into Kaitzur, they're going to break into a huge discussion on Van's standing in the factions. for now, looping him as "Neutral" with the god Generals "rebelling" will serve my purpose. Basically, what the plot is now, is basically trying to get this letter to the king of baticul. The Maestro faction, more specifically the God Generals, are trying to cause war in the Rugnica plains (as dictated by the closed score, which you'll find more out about that later.) The reformist faction is trying all it can to stop the war. That's why Jade had to take such sneaky measures to get Ion out of Daath, and that's why there is so much "Rawr Imma God General, Imma kill you!" going on right now. hm. I think that's all I can explain without spoiling anything. It's pretty hard to understand all the politics involved with Tales of the Abyss without a little research put into it. Hmm I should see if my school is willing to create a new history elective - Tales of History. We could study up on the creation of the Vanguard, corruption within the Church of Martel, biographies of the god-Generals. It'd be amazing! Basically, this is a game I'll be researching and replaying to understand it all but once I do I'll obsess about it! So Daathic = religion right? Then I don't get why Jade is working with Kimlascans and people aligned with the Order of Lorelei. Excuse me if I'm mixing up parties here.

Muahahahahahahaah. I scared the crap out of my mom. She forgot I had Fall break today, so she burst into my room at like nine, thinking I was ditching. I got a kick out of it.
I doubt it. We can have an intellectual discussion like this if you like. We can also do parallelisms to real life history, and get you just as obsessed with that as Tales History. ^.^b
Hahahaha. Its interesting. I can also state the population values of each major city in abyss, and what the God Generals do in addition to doing their duties, what divisions they run, and that random seventh guy that didn't count as a GG.
Daath is home to the order of Lorelei. They do score readings for both Kimlasca and Malkuth. The reason there is peace quite frankly, as Ion put it is because "neither country wants to be in the dark about the score. So they obey. To an extent."
But with the GMF and the FMF, you have political turmoil. So, basically you have Mohs backing Kimlsca saying the scoring will continue if they go to war.
Then you have Ion backing Malkuth saying that the scoring will continue even if they stop the war.
Jade is working with Luke because of Luke's father's political standing. As the son of Duke Fabre, Luke is the nephew of King Ingobert. Because King Ingobert's daughter, Natalia, is engaged to Luke, Ingobert is especially conscious of seeing what Luke has to say. Knowing this, Jade wants to use him as a political ram, getting him straight to the king. Anise follows Ion, and Ion is working to get the treaty. Tear... was the reason Luke was taken out of the manor, so she's doing everything that she can to return Luke to his momma in Baticul. That's Jade's motivation. Later on, you'll see how much Jade and the Emperor really influence each other. Oh god. You might die of laughter, first.
