Just watched Blade Runner for the first time in over ten years, so I hope I can be forgiven for just noticing the links between it and Battlestar Galactica, beyond the evil human looking androids hiding in a human population thing. Chiefly the phrase "skin job" and Edward James Olmos. Win. whee

Batman: tBatB had another Red Tornado episode tonight. If you have never seen an episode of this awesome series, this is a great one to jump in on. It really shows how mature the show is. Also ... single manly tear ... crying

The replicants are the ones who are aliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive! gonk
IN OTHER, I'M NOT THAT CRAZY, ENTERTAINMENT RELATED "NEWS":
I bought the first season of Supernatural on DVD from Walmart 'cause it was 17 bucks and I thought "What the hell, put it off this long..." So hoora me! I'm not sold on the series yet, but I've only watched the first four episodes. Now, I have no idea if anyone will know what the hell I'm talking about; but the woman in the second episode ("Wendigo") was terrifyingly anorexic. Like. Make-me-want-to-stop-watching anorexic. If you have the DVDs pop in the first disc and check that s**t out and tell me I'm wrong, 'cause she was certainly the scariest thing in that episode. And I adore Amy Acker like no one's business, but she is also very, very thin and was in the third episode ("Dead in the Water"). Someone please reassure me that there will be women in this show that are not a size 0 in the little miss rack - because I will stop watching if I don't see some healthy and/or unhealthy chunk. mad

You're just saying that because of your boob fetish. I kid. That's fairly s**t, hell I remember when Callista Flockhart was on that show with the dancing baby and it just scared me that she was not meant to be some kind of monster or something, that she was in fact human. I don't know why Harrison Ford elected to have sex with her and how she did not break during the act. Maybe he was just paid to be seen near her so that her people could further the illusion that she was capable of sex and that someone would be interested. I worry about some of the Skins cast though. Cassie was obviously meant to be like that because anorexia was one of her issues, but Michelle, Effie, and Naomi? Hurm.

Some of those early episodes are weak links....Wendigo, Hook Man, Bloody Mary, and Bugs for example. It's only the first season...Supernatural really gets much more consistent later. Just wait until you meet the Ghostchasers in episode 17. xd

Amy Acker is a wee bit thicker then the girl who plays Cassie, but this other woman was 2 times thinner. Seriously Powell, if you have the DVDs check it out - her arms and legs, aug. *Shutters* It is also irritating that her character was described as "a pistol" and mostly was a bug eyed, uninteresting, scary skinny, useless thing for Dean and Sam to save. I also sincerely hope this kiss-on-the-check-thank-you-for-saving-me crap at the end of the episodes does not continue either. I hear from other people, including those here, that the series matures and grows into it's self and I have no doubt of that - but why must the buddy road trip theme hurt me like it does? gonk

The thing with Supernatural is that Sam and Dean are always saving somebody. They save plenty of useless guys too. I'll have to get out my DVDs and look at Wendigo again. That was probably my least favorite episode....that or Bugs.

Yeah, with the monster of the week formula the show has going on I foresee a lot of saving - that plus they say they're going to save people and kick evil butt in every episode .
And I believe you, everyone tells me it only gets better. xd

How is Left 4 Dead 2 (which is a name they should seriously re-think if that's what the second game is going to be called) different then the first one?

There's a certain vicious irony about a game taking place in New Orleans being called Left 4 Dead.
Just finished watching Gran Torino, and all I can say is wow. Clint really is at the pinnacle of American directors
