Of course, Celia had been very happy for Ana when she received the flowers and note, but after the other dragon had left she was actually a little sad. It had been fun being with someone all morning, and for once, she felt discontented alone. Of course, as always, she had Kohaku as her companion, but...it wasn't the same.
'Celia, what's the matter?'said the water dragon, as he walked along beside her. He looked up, hoping she would tell him and hoping even more so that it would make her feel better just to talk about it.
"Its nothing,"she said, smiling and leaning over to scoop him up. The knight put him around her shoulders, and continued to walk as she added, "I guess I'm just a little lonesome. It was nice being with someone today...I've actually....been around people a lot lately. Its kind of different for me..."
'I know it is. But it is good for you to be with other dragons,' he replied, positioning himself more comfortably on her shoulders. After a moment of silence, he came up with a suggestion, 'why not go find Baran? I'm sure he'd be happy to see you too.'
Celia smiled happily and nodded. "That's a great idea Kohaku,"She said, and with that she started the search for him.

Baran walked out of Illusia's office, dazed and almost staggering. It had been a long lesson and he was tired. Having magic thrown at, past, and around him for several hours had both worn him out and given him a headache. He rubbed his eyes, clearing them, and his forehead, although that did nothing to alleviate the pressure.
About to head down to the kitchens to get something to eat, he saw Celia come around the corner of the hall.
"Hey," Baran immediately perked up, acting if not feeling perfectly fine. "Are you doing anything right now?"

Celia's eyes lit up at the sight of him. "Actually, yes. I was looking for you,"She said with a smile, happy to have found him so easily. "Do you have some free time?"she asked, hoping that she would be able to spend a little time with him.

Baran nodded, feeling pleased. "Yeah. I have some time. I'm working with Illusia," he took the moment to brag, skipping the Yellow Dragon Officer's title, "because of my promotion to Dragon Rider." He grinned rather cockily, then gave an almost embarrassed laugh. "Let's go somewhere." Baran took her hand. "I'm supposed to be back in an hour, but that's plenty of time."

"Your..."again her eyes brightened, "Your promotion? Congratulations Baran!" she said happily. Certainly, this was good news. Celia couldn't really help but think in the back of her mind, that she was especially glad for it because Dragon Riders were much more likely than the fighters to accompany Knights on missions...
"Alright, where should we go?"She asked, after the moment it took her to calm down. She really was quite excited for him.
'Well if you only have an hour, why not look around the scenic places in the castle? The western tower has a nice view...'suggested Kohaku, turning his head toward Celia to look her in the eyes as he offered his opinion.
"That's a great idea,"She replied. It took her a slightly awkward silent moment to remember that Baran couldn't hear the little dragon, and explain, "He thought maybe we could go to the west tower...apparently, the view from there is pretty..."she said a bit sheepishly, still slightly embarrassed from not having realized it sooner.

"Oh, good idea," Baran agreed, starting to lead her off in that direction. "I've only been up there once, but the view is really nice."
It was only a short walk (relatively, considering the size of the Dragon Castle) to their destination, and they were soon standing in the large circular room at the top of the tower.
"This way." Baran, still holding Celia by the hand, tugged her towards the doors at one end. "There's a rampant."

Celia couldn't help but smile, holding onto his hand tightly. It felt good, being with someone that she realized she really...She said it once, and now she thought it again, someone she really loved.
As they opened the doors, the knight realized just why Kohaku had recommended the place...The view really was breathtaking, and seamed to go on for miles...
"Wow...this is so beautiful..."She said, wide-eyed and clearly impressed. She seemed almost like a child having just seen their first magic trick.

Baran, however, frowned and leaned forward, taking his hand from hers and leaning on the wall between them and the plunge.
"What's that?" He pointed, squinting into the distance. "Is that smoke?"

Once he pointed it out, the Knight saw it clear as day as well...How could she have missed that before? It certainly did look like smoke..."I think so...Its definitely too much for just a campfire or something...But no one lives in that direction, as far as I know..." She too strained her eyes to see what it was that could have caused the smoke, when suddenly everything changed.
It was almost like having the eyes of an eagle, but she could see right to where the smoke was rising from; a small group of demons was setting the woods on fire. Why though, she couldn't tell. 'I wish I knew what they were up to...'she thought a little upset, and almost at once it seemed that her attention was diverted elsewhere.
A second group was heading toward the castle from the East. They were coming quickly and quietly, obviously expecting the fire to be larger by now...But obviously they weren't going to be able to get to the castle...The Dragon Lord's barrier still stood to protect it...But oddly, she could sense something different about these demons...Something in the back of her mind simply told her that the barrier wouldn't be enough to stop them...
Before she could think about anything else, suddenly she was back to normal. She shook her head, and rubbed her eyes a little, feeling like it had been about a year since she last blinked. "Kohaku...what was that?"she asked, knowing he was tied to her, but not knowing if he saw it or not.
'What did you see?'he asked, sounding very calm about the whole thing, or at least composed despite his seemingly urgent manner to the question.
"Demons...Two groups of them...That smoke is coming from a fire the first group is starting..."She said, closing her eyes again, and putting her right hand over her eyes as though her head hurt. Once she moved it, her eyes snapped back open immediately. "Baran, I think we've got a problem here...We should go tell the Dragon Lord,"She said, suddenly sounding very confident about the decision.
She still didn't understand what she had seen, and for all logic it was more than likely just a hallucination...but it certainly felt real enough for the Knight to think it merited at least a report.

Baran was already hurrying past her, expression serious. It was clear that he believed her even if neither of them fully understood what had just gone on. "You go tell the Dragon Lord. I'm going to tell the Yellow Dragon Officer and Officer Aiketh."

Celia simply nodded, and followed after him, hurrying back down into the main castle. At the foot of the stairs that led up the tower, they parted ways, the Knight almost at a run as she headed towards the Dragon Lord's study. She wasn't entirely sure, but she felt almost a little as though she weren't really running to get to the Lord and tell him, but more just to get away from that severely bizarre incident at the tower.
She wanted to ask Kohaku what had just happened, but part of her told her not to. She didn't want to know. She was better off not knowing. Before Celia realized it thanks to her distracting thoughts, her feet had carried her straight to the lord's office. She knocked on the grand door in a way lacking her usual timidness, which just seemed to solidify how much she believed the threat to be real.

"Sir," Baran called before he had Illusia's door properly open and was still standing in the hallway, "there's a problem. Demons are coming..."

Jett sighed and looked at Micoi with a rather indescribable look, a mix of tiredness and irritation of sorts. "We will continue this discussion later, Micoi." He turned his focus to the door. "You may enter."

Celia opened the door, suddenly surprised that the dragon queen was in there. Under normal circumstances, she would almost certainly have waited until Micoi left the room, but this seemed a bit too pressing to stand on ceremony.
"I hate to intrude Lord Jett, but..."she was trying to phrase this as best she could without it sounding completely ridiculous, "Baran and I spotted smoke rising from the forest to the west of the castle, believed to be caused by a group of demons. However, I'm...fairly sure that its simply a distraction. There's another group coming from the east."
There was a quick pause, and then she remembered the other rather odd fact about the demons, "...and...I have reason to believe they'll be able to get through the barrier, sir."

She had been about to speak up again when the sound of knocking came from the door, making the Queen-to-be close her partially opened mouth again. She merely blinked slightly surprised at the unexpected interruption and then nodded at Jett. "Oh, ok," she replied as the door opened and... what? Wait, what was that? No... No, she had tohave been wrong about that but...
As the Water Dragon Knight spoke, the other female dragon stared at the girl, almost with a look as if she saw the other for the first time in her life or something. She even went unblinking for the longest time and it wasn't before Celia had finished giving her disturbing report that the lady blinked again.
What had the knight said now again? She had to concentrate her mind to remember what she had only heard with half an ear. A decoy to the west and the real attack force, however puny it now was, from the east? Right, no problem. But once again, what? This girl...
