Bane didn't have time to move out of the way, so he brought his arm up to block his head from the oncoming grill. With a grunt, the thing ricoched off of his arm and scraped across the floor behind him.
He glared at her as he brought himself to his feet again. "And just what exactly are you trying to accomplish?" he said as he started towards her. It was a bit too crowded to keep fighting within the store.

Rogue's face twisted in a snarl and then yelled at Bane, "Well, Ya some kind of enforcer that flattened a cabbie.... AND... Ya threw a car at me, ya jerk!?!"
Although angry, Rogue's still scanned Bane's stance.

"And who's fault was that?" he said as he continued towards her. "I only needed to get information from him. Something he was willing to do before you stepped in. I gave you the chance to keep things peaceful, but you wouldn't have it. You played my hand in the matter."

Rogue shook her head, "Ah'm thinkin that you'd a flattened him anyway if he had talked to ya or not."
Rogue shifted her weight to her left foot, ready to throw Bane if he charged.

"No." he replied. "There would have been no need for me to touch him. If I was going to silence him, I would have simply waited for him to enter the car. Slamming the car into another would have been much easier to wave off as an accident." he said, then stopped in front of her.

Rogue processed that in her brain, trying to fight Bane's logic, "You're.... You're makin that up." The X-Man backed up a step.

"Again, no." he replied. "I don't know what kind of people you're used to fighting, but I don't kill unless it's a necessity. He didn't have to die until he tried to run."

Rogue looked confused as if Bane grew a second head, "Ah'm used to opponents who always go against their word and just try ta kill as much as look at ya just cause ya different."

"I don't." Bane replied. "If I say I'm going to do something, I do it."
The way the girl fought, and as strong as she was, they could be at it for hours. If he could talk her down before the police arrived, then he should be able to slip away without much problem. If she didn't, then he'd have to deal with the police as well. And, being Gotham, the Bat was sure to show up as well. He hadn't planned to have gotten into any kinds of scrapes like this today.
"I only needed to make sure he was going to be quiet. If he ran, or I ran into any kind of trouble, I was to make sure he was silenced. I told you to get back in the car and he'd get to you when we were done talking. You wouldn't."

The war in Rogue's head continued. Several personallities of people she's absorbed in the past began to argue amongst themselves in her skull.
Hey, knock it off! Rogue turned her attention back to Bane, "But, did ya haveta flatten the guy? Ah mean, Ah do get the impression that we both can get madder than spit..."
Sirens could probably be heard in the distance.

"He ran, I had to make sure he stayed quiet. Would you seriously have simply let me chase after him? It was the quickest way I could get him without you interfearing again." he replied.
Bane did hear the sirens, as he expected considering where their little fight had taken them.
"Do you hear that? I need to dissapear before they arrive. If I don't, then I'm going to have to make a way for myself to escape. In which case I can't guarantee that no one else will get killed. Do you understand?"

"All ya ever care about's yaself," Rogue half-laughed, without any real mirth, "But ya still tha one how did tha deed."
Rogue was ready to move -- intending to send Bane out of the building away from people. She'd block him, if he tried to take a hostage.

"It's up to you wether there are anymore casualties today." he said.
The sirens were getting louder. If she didn't let him pass now, then he'd have no choice but to deal with the police as well.

"A wise decision." he replied calmly. He moved so that he could inspect the area outside before taking off. He took a step outside and glanced back at her. "Perhaps we'll meet again under more favorable circumstances." he said, then dissapeared out the hole.
