"Nah, I don't do contests. For now, I'm just exploring. I don't really have any set goals as of yet, except that some day I will end up running my parent's daycare and breeding center. I want to learn as much about Pokemon and battle together with them as I can before that day comes." He smiled, taking back his Pokemon and sitting down in one of the chairs to relax. He glanced over at her. She seems so confident, he thought. Is she...is she smirking at me? He blinked and looked away, feeling slightly embarrased.

((Isn't 3 attacks at once a bit much? This isn't a contest...it's a battle...>.< )) "Hmm," said Surge, putting his hands on his hips. "Alright then. Electrode! Tackle! You know what to do!" he shouted. The spherical Pokemon spun around in a circle, gathering a vast amount of speed as it did so, and then it veered of and headed straight for the Espeon at full speed. As the tackle was about to hit, it stopped a mere inch from the surprised Pokemon. Then, without any warning, Electrode self-destructed. The battlefield filled with smoke.
"I forgot about that move," Kasiya whispered to Shocker. "Espeon's not physically strong, that must have hurt a lot..."
"Pika..." she replied.

"Alright, Mightyena! Use Howl!" Jaeshan called. Mightyena jumped back, and howled loudly. The sound sent shivers down everyone's spines.
"Croconaw! Water Gun!" Rose cried. Croconaw stumbled, and attacked itself again in confusion. It shook its head violently, and then focused on its opponent, its mind clearing.
"Tackle, Mightyena!" yelled Jaeshan. Mightyena charged forward, and hit its opponent with a much stronger attack then Tackle - it was Take Down.
"Whoa!" cried Jaeshan. "You learned Take-Down! Awesome!" he cheered.
"Slash!" ordered Jess, starting to panic.
Croconaw's sharp claws made a glancing blow as Mightyena turned, and hit with another Take Down. Croconaw was looking worse for wear as it fired a weak Water Gun towards Mightyena. Mightyena countered with another Tackle. Croconaw staggered to its feet, still eager to go on. Rose stepped forward, and put her hand on Croconaw's head. "Alright, we give up," she said. "I know when to stop. You win, you get to battle Anna now." Rose bent down and hugged her Croconaw. "You're wonderful," she said. It looked incredibly happy.
"That Croconaw of yours is very tough," Jaeshan said. Mightyena barked in agreement.
"I guess I'm up next," Anna said, standing up. She was very pale, and apeared to be trembling.

"Are you okay?" Jaeshan asked Anna.
"Um, yeah. I'm just nervous. I always get nervous before a battle." She gulped and paced on the spot. Jaeshan chuckled.
"You don't have to be nervous about battling with me," he said. Let's just try to have fun, alright?"
She smiled. "Yeah. I will. It doesn't always have to be serious, does it?"
"Of course not. Sure we want to battle with all our might, but if we're not having fun, and enjoying what we do, what's the point?"
"I've never thought of it like that," Anna pondered. "It makes sense, now that you say it. Let's get started." She seemed much calmer now.

"Sounds like fun," Mitsu commented absent-mindedly. She wiped the smirk off her face and walked up to the counter as th bell struck telling her that her Pokemon were fully healed. Grabbing her Pokeballs she released her Gradevoir and Haunter. They appeared in a red flash and immedialy flew around her. Her Haunter, Ebony, flew over to Keegan and stuck his tounge out making faces at him. "Stop that Ebony!" Mitsu said while laughing. Karri smiled and she flew over to meet the new boy.

Self-destruct? Seth thought almost questioning Surge's stragety. Heh, even if it survived or held a Macho Brace, I'll still have only a few hitpoints left. "Quick Attack to get away from your position Espeon!" Seth said as Aura dashed around the fied. "Use Swift all over this place!" Seth commented as Aura sprayed the field with stars. "Stay alert and wait for the smoke to clear," Seth said as they waited for the battle's outcome.

Blu walked into the Academy which was bustling with students; some battling and some taking tests or notes.
Wow, He thought, They must go through a lot of work here
A rather large man came up to him and patted his back.
"Welcome to Earl's Pokemon Academy. I see you are not a student so then, what business do you have here, hm?"
"Oh uh....I was just passing by and heard someone say something about Pokemon Battles and--"
"Well then you have perfect timing! One of our student who were supposed to be battling is absent at the moment and so he left one student without a partner. Would you like to battle him? Be warned he is in the Senior class."
"I wouldnt mind trying." Blu said trying to raise his hopes.
"Very good then. ACE! Ace, where are you?"
"Right here, sir." Ace said as he walked up to the pair, moving his hair out of his eyes.
"Ace, this young man just walked in and wants to battle someone...care to battle him? You know if you win you graduate."
"Well then I will." Ace said as he saw Blu's Pichu. "A Pichu huh? No problem." He said as he got into position.
"Ok. I'll referee this match. Please send out your Pokemon." Earl said as he grabbed two flags from on top of his desk.
"Ok. Go, Spark!" Blu said as his Pichu jumped off his head and was standing there, ready and waiting.
"Hmph. Pathetic. Go!" Ace said as he threw his Pokeball. A Natu sprouted from the ball, jumping around and then stopping and looking at Ace.
"Hey Natu. You Ready?"
"Tu NATU!!"
"Ok. Ready? Begin!" Earl shouted as the trainers gazed into eachother's eyes.

"Wow, a Haunter!" Keegan laughed. "It's nice to meet you, Ebony. I've always loved Ghost-Pokemon." He gave a slight bow to the Gardevoir. "And it's nice to meet you too," he smiled. He pulled out his two Pokeballs, and released Vulpix and Electrike in a flash of red. Vulpix danced around happily, while Electrike looked rather nervously about. Keegan bent down in front of him. "Welcome to the team," he said. Electrike cocked his head, then made a happy-sounding noise. "I never thought I'd own anything other than Fire-types," he admitted. "But I like your spunk."

(( Opps. Got Seth's Espeon, Aura, and gradevoir mixed up. ^^;; ))
Ebony gave a satisfied smile and Karri floated back over to Mitsu. "Hey guys, feeling better?" she asked. They shook thier head and floated happily around thier trainer. "Let me show you my team Keegan! Your's are so adorable!" she said with a smile. She really admired that Vulpix he had and the Electrike remined her of Watson's and it's tough battle spirit. "Let's go Ivy, Sapphire!" She tossed out two Pokeballs. A healthy Ivysaur poped out of one and a blue Houndoom, which they had all ready seen, came out of the other. "Haha, I don't think Nightmare would fit in here." Mitsu laughed.

((Wait, so am I allowed to catch an eevee now? OK. Your OOC wasn't very clear, so I'll just go ahead. PM me if I wasn't supposed to do this.))
Stephanie woke up with a dashing start. She quickly assembled all her belongings and packed up. She had overslept. Hastily she ran down the stairs of the pokemon center, Pichu sleeping in her arms.
"Pii..." she moaned as Stephanie passed her over to the nurse at the counter.
"Would you like me to heal your pokemon?" the nurse chanted, almost as dead as a robot.
"Yes please." Stephanie answered. The nurse picked up Sparkle and placed her onto a machine. Some strange noises occured as Sparkle came to life.
"PII!" she yelped as Stephanie opened up her arms.
"Thank you very much," she said as the threw her pack onto her back.
"We hope you come again." the nurse said, waving goodbye.
"That's strange," Stephanie muttered. "So they wnat our pokemon to get hurt so we can come back?!?" she whispered to Sparkle. Sparkle nodded, slightly frightened.

Stephanie walked through the cold grass. She was walking on route 102, getting ready to set to Petalburg City. She had never passed Oldale Town, so she was very excited in getting ready to see a gym. Sparkle yelped as she scurried into Stephanie's pack, shivering in fear.
"Sparkle? What's wrong?" Stephanie asked, trying to calm the Pichu down. Some ruffling in the grass startled her. "Wha?!?!" she yelped as a small Eevee walked up to her. She hissed as Stephanie. "Uhh, what to do what to do.." She constantly muttered to herself. Making up her mind, she shouted,
"Go Sparkle!" she pointed her finger at the angry Eevee. Pichu regained her confidence and jumped onto the floor. The Eevee quickly attacked, startling Sparkle and creating a critical hit. Sparkle fell to the floor in pain. Trying not to take notice, Stephanie shouted,
"Pichu! Thunderbolt!" Pichu gathered some sparks and clenched her little paws.
"PIII!!" she shouted, releasing a bolt nearly as strong as the one she hit Stephanie with in the pokemon center. It was a perfect hit. The lightning struck Eevee really hard, causing her to collapse onto the grass. Barely keeping her eyes open, Stephanie pulled out a pokeball and threw it at the injured Eevee. The ball rolled, and rolled and rolled. It came to a stop.
"Yes! I caught another pokemon!" Stephanie exclaimed as she picked up the ball, running back to the pokemon center. "I know what I'll call you..." she said, calling back the proud Pichu. "Beam.." she whispered quietly to the pokeball as the sun was rising.
((Now I have an Eevee named Beam))
