((I am watching Chocolate Rain.))
"Respect?" Sabre cackled. "Where have you been?" He popped up from the shadow, hissed, and struck out at Fyrin, who artfully and quickly blocked. Paul, in his sleep, briefly dreamed about prancing overjoyed through a field. When this emotion passed, he dreamed of bizarre, flying, machine-gun equipped pigs assaulting Abaddon's fortress.
Sabre struck again; Fyrin blocked. Yet again it happened, then a third time, then fourth, then fifth, and again and again they almost danced. It hardly seemed that Fyrin was struggling, despite using a condensed bit of fire for a left arm. They had done this many times before; even the unlight couldn't prevent Fyrin from having some idea of where the Shadow would be attacking. They were altogether too familiar with each other to make headway.

((Seriously, SirBayer. Don't tempt me.))
"Reveling in the powers of a Demonic God?" Helmsborough suggested, holding his hand to the sky. A distant dot became more distinct. A streak of red light surrounded a falling sphere of blackness that was probably unlight.

((Fine. Now I am watching What What.))
"A fine prospect," Sabre returned. He glanced upward simultaneously with Fyrin, trying to make out what exactly it was that was coming down. They both knew what Fyrin was going to do next, and they both knew he would accomplish it without any external influence. It didn't matter, though; he made the move, diving clear of the falling fireball, kicking away a set of claws from Sabre, then rolling up to meet yet another powerful strike, slamming a fist back the other way. They were still making no progress.

((Kingdom Hearts for the win.))
Siber twitched once in his cage, his arms adopting odd angles as he peered up at the dragon he was chasing after hearing the voice. Was it the same one? It seemed slightly different, perhaps in color. "You have a point. In fact..." he slowed his pursuit, his head flicking down to his knee as he caught his chin in thought, "this dragon has not even attacked me; only a similarly aligned character. Further," he continued to muse aloud, "there is no reason for me to be here, that I know of. I have no method of turning the tides of the battle on my home plane from here, except through negotiation. My only motivation to fight would be if I could find no way out. As I stand, at least. "Abaddon," he called, this time jerking his gaze to the castle and wondering vaguely if this insane state would one day give him neck and back problems, "is there any negotiating that could be done here to cease your violent emergence in my universe?" He had a few points he could bring up, not the least including the Blademaster in the argument.
((Briefly forgot if "Blademaster" is the right name... h/o while I check that))

"Ah, did you not notice that you pursued my avatar on the whim of this 'Joshua' you have no reason to trust and your enemy Legion? Make your fellows disengage from combat and allow me those I captured and we will have no quarrel," the voice replied.

"Actually, the original contact I had with your avatar occurred in Crossover while my team made an effort to reverse a wrong Legion had committed against my plane. Your avatar interfered and put my life and the lives of my comrades in immediate danger. I had good reason to believe he would effect a resurgence elsewhere." Besides. He wants to die. "Given his mental state and disregard for human life during our first encounter, I think it wise to stop him, and therefore you." Siber kept his eyes on the dragon, but had slowed his carriage to a halt. "I do not have the authority to make my fellows disengage. Only a few can make the suggestion, and I have not been in contact with them. Now, besides Joshua and potentially me, who have you captured? I think we can still deal; any efforts I make to quell my partners' volatility will certainly not go unnoticed. I do hold some sway."

Joe watched in fascination as Fyrin and the Shadow dueled. Sliding slowly back until he was mostly unnoticed, Joe quietly drew a Fire Arrow, holding it fully taut for almost two minutes. His arms were shaking with the effort (The Wind-bow exerting almost 100 lbs of pressure), but the arrow itself gained more and more power from the surrounding environment as he held it. When Sabre emerged to attack Fyrin again, Joe let fly, aiming it for the back of the unsuspecting Shadow. Another Arrow quickly followed, aimed at Helmsborough.

"I'm destruction and hatred in Demonic God form, you can hardly expect the man I've shaped to be my very image wouldn't act in such a way," Abaddon pointed out with a sigh. "That aside, I hold the females known as Linda, Kayla, Agrotera, and... the one who only gives her government code, Chaos. In addition, I hold the males Joshua, and Sam."
--
Helmsborough simply dodged. At approximately a quarter-second after the second arrow was fired, a deep rumbling began to come from the ground.
((This Sam is the wielder of the sword Oathkeeper and he totally predates Devath's Samuel. However, as I cannot punish a PC for violating the OneSteveLimit, Sam's gonna buy a farm soon.
Also, remember that character cleanup I mentioned earlier?
Muahaha.))

"Well, that seems reasonable," Siber said in response to the comments on Johnathan's disposition. "The problem is that we, as humans, don't like the idea of him killing innocents. Understand, I wouldn't dare try to divert you from your ways."
Keldan pointed out.
"I think it would be wise for you to back down now. Not as a threat; as advice, even acknowledging that I am a mere mortal and you are effectively a god. You've attracted a lot of negative attention from the Council by now. If you were to return your prisoners and lay low for a while, it would significantly increase your chances of accomplishing... whatever it was you wanted to accomplish. As it stands, there has even been talk of the Blademaster involving himself again."
((Okay, so I understand the need for clean-up, but my character wouldn't be all 'well, we can just throw them all away.' So I figure I'll leave it to you to initiate your Aufräumen.))

"Mmm. Well, I just have Linda, Kayla, Sam, and Joshua," Abaddon corrected. "For two points on the bright side, I don't think the others will try any 'daring escapes' like they did and my elite guard will eat well for a week. As for backing down and all that... the Blademaster steps in for much larger-scale incidents. Hit squads and gang wars and Sages massacring Djinni or the reverse or the old Druid-cyNet2 wars. That aside, he may be able to overpower my avatars outside of my dimension, but he cannot slay me in the Heart of Darkness, and Helmsborough is rapidly approaching the end of his usefulness anyway. He was always a tad mopey for my tastes, anyway."

Fyrin shifted slightly as the arrow came in, but it was a mistake; Sabre somehow, somehow, had the reaction time to understand what precisely Fyrin's shift meant and he dove away into the unlight, leaving the arrow to go whizzing by them both, scorching but not directly damaging. Sabre was fast, and now he was also apparently irritated, because he ceased attacking Fyrin for a moment (who was aware enough of this that he dropped his guard for a moment to rest) and suddenly burst up near Joe, extending his arm and slashing a very, very broad arc at Joe's side.

Hmm. Well, that was two down. Was there any way to save the others? "Well, there's no reason for anyone to attack you on your plane, anyway; I'm only here by chance. We'd just like you to stay on this plane. "So assume that you do allow me to return to my universe and that I manage to quell the fighting up there. Would Helmsborough just kind of stop and you return our comrades? Who I would assume would still be alive. Where would that leave you? Which I guess is the same question as 'Why did you attack us in Crossover in the first place?' Legion was the one causing the disruption."

Joe whistled as both of his arrows were dodged. As Sabre vanished into the Unlight, a flaming sword formed itself in Joe's clenched fist. As he emerged, Joe raised it, parried the attack, and skipped back. By the time he had landed, the sword was already a Fire Arrow, which he let rip straight at Sabre, at a tiny 7 ft distance.
